The New Ego

Chapter 15: Day 14

Mason woke up feeling… unstoppable.

The sunlight streaming through his window felt brighter, the air fresher. He sat up in bed, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"I'm doing it," he thought. "I'm actually doing it."

Mason followed his routine with a renewed sense of purpose.

Gym:

He pushed himself harder than ever, adding more weight to his lifts and increasing his running speed.

"Progress," he thought, feeling the burn in his muscles.

Studying:

He worked through a Python tutorial on neural networks, feeling both excited and overwhelmed.

"This is the future," he realized. "I need to learn this."

Writing:

He added a new chapter to his novel, 100 Different Lives: POV, exploring the perspective of a struggling artist.

"This is fun," he thought, losing himself in the story.

Content Creation:

He filmed a short video about his morning routine and posted it on TikTok.

"Day 14 of the grind. Progress is slow, but it's progress. Keep going."

After finishing his daily grind, Mason sat at his desk and opened his notebook.

Progress on My Grinds:

Gym: Lost 8 pounds, gained some muscle.

Studying: Completed 30% of the Python course, learned the basics of trading.

Writing: Wrote 5 chapters of 100 Different Lives: POV.

Content Creation: Posted 15 TikTok videos, gained 250 followers.

"Not bad," he thought. "But I can do better."

Ways to Improve:

Gym: Increase weights, try new exercises.

Studying: Focus more on trading strategies, dive deeper into Python.

Writing: Write every day, even if it's just a paragraph.

Content Creation: Post more consistently, engage with followers.

"The New Year is coming," he realized. "I want to start it strong."

Mason spent the afternoon working on his AI project. He'd built a basic Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) the night before, but it was limited.

"I need to improve this," he thought, scrolling through open-source datasets.

He found a larger dataset and started training the model again.

"This is just the start," he muttered, watching the progress bar crawl across the screen.

Mason grabbed a quick lunch—a turkey sandwich with whole wheat bread and a side of fruit.

"Healthy choices," he reminded himself. "One meal at a time."

After lunch, Mason decided to go for a run. The city looked beautiful in the afternoon light—the streets bustling with life, the sky a perfect shade of blue.

"What a beautiful city," he thought, his breath steady as he picked up the pace.

He didn't meet Tina this time, but he thought about her.

"She's nice," he recalled. "I like her."

As he ran, Mason noticed a sleek black car driving past.

"I want a car," he thought. "Something fast, something mine."

He imagined himself behind the wheel, driving through the city with the windows down.

"But first, I need to make more money."

Back at home, Mason sat at his desk and reviewed his schedule.

"I need to spend more time on Python," he decided. "Maybe four hours a day instead of two."

He adjusted his routine:

Morning: Gym (1 hour), Python (2 hours).

Afternoon: Writing (1 hour), Content Creation (1 hour).

Evening: Python (2 hours), AI Project (1 hour).

"This is going to be intense," he thought. "But I can handle it."

As the day wound down, Mason found himself reflecting on his past.

"I used to be so lazy," he thought. "Wasting hours on porn, junk food, and mindless scrolling."

He opened his old journal and flipped through the pages.

"I was a different person back then," he realized. "But I'm not that person anymore."

By midnight, Mason was exhausted but satisfied. He lay in bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I'm killing it," he thought. "I'm actually killing it."

As Mason drifted off to sleep, he had a vivid dream.

He was standing on a stage, holding a trophy. The crowd was cheering, and Tina was in the front row, smiling at him.

"You did it," she said. "You're the best version of yourself."

Mason woke up with a start, his heart racing.

"What a dream," he muttered, glancing at the clock.

It was 3 AM.

As Mason lay in bed, he reflected on the day.

"I improved the AI. I ran farther than ever. I adjusted my routine. And I had the weirdest dream."

It wasn't a perfect day, but it was progress.

"The New Me is still here," he thought. "And I'm not giving up."
