Chapter 14: Day 13
Mason woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside his window. The sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room.
"Today feels… nice," he thought, stretching as he got out of bed.
After breakfast, Mason sat at his desk and opened his notebook.
Progress on My Grinds:
Gym: Lost 5 pounds, gained some muscle.
Studying: Completed 20% of the Python course, learned the basics of trading.
Writing: Wrote 3 chapters of 100 Different Lives: POV.
Content Creation: Posted 12 TikTok videos, gained 150 followers.
"Not bad," he thought. "But I can do better."
Mason jotted down a few ideas:
Gym: Increase weights, try new exercises.
Studying: Focus more on trading strategies, dive deeper into Python.
Writing: Write every day, even if it's just a paragraph.
Content Creation: Post more consistently, engage with followers.
"The New Year is coming," he realized. "I want to start it strong."
Mason followed his routine:
Gym:
He pushed himself harder than usual, adding more weight to his lifts.
"Progress," he thought, feeling the burn in his muscles.
Studying:
He worked through a Python tutorial on machine learning, feeling both excited and overwhelmed.
"This is the future," he realized. "I need to learn this."
Writing:
He added a new chapter to his novel, exploring the perspective of a struggling artist.
"This is fun," he thought, losing himself in the story.
Content Creation:
He filmed a short video about his morning routine and posted it on TikTok.
"Day 13 of the grind. Progress is slow, but it's progress. Keep going."
By the time Mason finished, the sun was setting. He felt tired but satisfied.
"I'm getting better," he thought. "One day at a time."
Mason decided to go for a walk to clear his head. The cool evening air felt refreshing, and before he knew it, he was running.
"This feels… good," he thought, his breath steady as he picked up the pace.
As he rounded a corner, he almost collided with a girl running in the opposite direction.
"Whoa, sorry!" she said, stopping to catch her breath.
"No, my bad," Mason replied, his heart racing—not just from the run.
She smiled. "I'm Tina. You new around here?"
"Uh, no. Just… trying something new," Mason said, feeling awkward but intrigued.
They started talking—about running, fitness, and life. Tina was easy to talk to, and for the first time in a long time, Mason felt… comfortable.
"She's nice," he thought. "I like her."
They exchanged numbers before parting ways.
"Maybe this is the start of something," Mason thought, feeling a spark of hope.
When Mason got home, he checked his dropshipping store. Sales were slow but steady.
"I need to automate this," he realized. "I can't keep doing everything manually."
Next, he checked his TikTok. The video he'd posted earlier had a few likes and comments.
"Keep going, bro!" one comment read.
"People are actually rooting for me," he thought, feeling a surge of motivation.
Mason opened his bank account.
Balance: $450.
"Not much, but it's something," he thought. "I need to turn these incomes into automation."
Mason spent the rest of the evening researching how to create an AI or bot.
"Python is the right language," he realized. "I'm already learning it."
He found an open-source dataset and started building a simple Convolutional Neural Network (CNN).
"This is just the start," he thought, feeling both excited and overwhelmed.
By midnight, Mason had a basic CNN up and running. It couldn't do much—just recognize simple patterns—but it was a start.
"I need more data," he realized. "And more practice."
As Mason lay in bed, he reflected on the day.
"I met Tina. I started building an AI. I made progress. It's not perfect, but it's enough."
He closed his eyes, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
"The New Me is still here," he thought. "And I'm not giving up."
