Chapter 5: WORLD ADAPTATION
By the year 2090, humanity had fully adapted to the Eclipse era, and non-Eclipse individuals had been reduced to second-class citizens. Traditional governments had all but crumbled, replaced by powerful Eclipse factions that dictated the course of history.
The world was now ruled by three superpowers locked in an unending struggle for dominance. The Dominion of Avalon which once the United States have stood as the unrivaled force, clashing in military and economic conflict with its two greatest rivals: Russia, now the Volgrad Imperium, and China, reborn as the Xian Dynasty.
Eclipse warfare had become the new standard, replacing conventional military conflicts. With the immense power wielded by these awakened beings, every aspect of global affairs revolved around the Eclipse, shaping a new world order dictated by strength and supremacy.
The Three Great Powers
The Dominion of Avalon, formerly the United States, had risen to absolute supremacy through its doctrine of power and meritocracy. Though democracy still existed in name, true leadership was determined through the Titan Ascension, a grand tournament held once every ten years to crown the nation's supreme ruler. The strong thrived, while the weak were left behind.
Non-Eclipse were relegated to lower societal tiers, unable to wield the power that dictated Avalon's future. However, even ordinary citizens could rise in status if they proved their worth. Avalon's military was unparalleled, its elite force, the Celestial Vanguard, integrating Eclipse abilities with cutting-edge technology, making them an unstoppable force on the battlefield.
Under the Avalon Supremacy Doctrine, they controlled global trade, resources, and military outposts, ensuring their dominance remained unchallenged. Yet, despite their overwhelming power, they were locked in a cold war with Volgrad and the Xian Dynasty with each seeking to shatter Avalon's hold on the world.
To the east, Russia had become the Volgrad Imperium, a brutal, militaristic empire ruled by the Supreme Eclipse referred to a warlord whose strength was said to rival even the legendary Eclipsarion class. In Volgrad, Eclipse were nobility, while non-Eclipse individuals were reduced to laborers, soldiers, or disposable assets.
Strength dictated status. Only the ruthless thrived, while the weak perished. Volgrad's military doctrine relied on sheer overwhelming force, deploying Dreadnought Eclipse who heavily armored warriors capable of reducing entire cities to rubble. Unlike Avalon's blend of power and technology, Volgrad relied on pure, unfiltered Eclipse energy. Their most feared weapon, the Umbralum Eclipse Bomb, could annihilate entire regions in a single detonation.
Though they shared a common enemy in Avalon, Volgrad maintained an uneasy alliance with the Xian Dynasty, each waiting for the other to falter before making their move.
Meanwhile, China had rebranded itself as the Xian Dynasty, discarding its former communist government in favor of an imperial order ruled by the Emperor of the Eternal Eclipse. In this rigid society, Eclipse were seen as celestial beings, guiding the nation through absolute discipline and control.
Honor and tradition governed all aspects of life, with non-Eclipse citizens serving as scholars, artisans, or workers to maintain a "harmonious" balance. Unlike Volgrad's brute force or Avalon's chaotic meritocracy, the Xian Dynasty wielded strategic precision. They perfected Syzlume Eclipse Formations, allowing them to control battlefields with near-supernatural accuracy.
Their elite warriors, the Celestial Warlords, possessed reality-bending abilities, capable of rewriting the flow of combat itself. While they despised Avalon's reckless pursuit of power, they maintained trade relations while waiting for the perfect moment to tip the balance in their favor.
The Struggle for Auriasia
Caught between these titanic forces was Auriasia which was formerly Malaysia. Despite its smaller size and limited military strength, Auriasia had learned to adapt to the Eclipse era. Though it lacked the advanced technology and elite Eclipse warriors of the great powers, it was steadily evolving, determined to carve its place in the new world order.
However, what Auriasia lacked in military might, it made up for in resources. With the mutation of nature's elements following the catastrophe, Auriasia had become one of the world's top suppliers of raw materials essential to Eclipse enhancement. Even before the Eclipse era, the region had been rich in resources that had been exploited long before it had even gained its independence.
Now, with its vast supply of rare minerals and Eclipse-imbued materials, Auriasia was a valuable prize in the global conflict. Avalon sought to use it as a strategic foothold in Southeast Asia, Volgrad eyed its resources for war, and the Xian Dynasty saw it as a potential vassal state.
In this world ruled by power, where the rise of a single Eclipsarion level being could change the balance overnight, no nation was truly safe. The question was no longer which empire would rise—it was who would survive when the next great war began.
And in the heart of Auriasia, where fate had yet to be decided, a new story was about to unfold.
