Chapter 68: Grand daughter
" He'll eventually turn up", Alvah said.
The old sage stood up carefully, as he was leaving back to the house, he saw a girl coming, she was tall and with red hair, putting on a black skirt higher than that of Zillah, with a long sleeve black top which she folded up to her elbows and her high black boots.
She stopped in her tracks, staring at the old sage. He walked slowly from there to where she stood.
" Morning Grandpa", the girl said with a slight bow.
" You finally answered to my message",
he asked curiously.... "what took you soo long?".
" Firstly someone told me not to come with escorts or guards. Besides you knew I wouldn't come so why did you send the message in the first place?".
" Because I knew you can't resist one of my last request".
Alvah heard the conversation but had refused to look back.
" Is he the student?", she said pointing at him.
Alvah opened his eyes slowly.
" How did you find him?. I don't know how you were able to get him to learn from you".
He replied to her, "I trained the one who trained you, it's a fact you can't deny".
" Still lying grandpa, there is no way brother learnt from you after all the teachers dad left behind to aide him".
" Anyways, I don't know how much it would take me to train this rookie student of yours but I don't want it exceeding three months".
Old sage couldn't believe his ears, he asked, "Do you think he is that bad?".
" He learnt from you, why shouldn't he be". He fell quite knowing who and what she is.
Alvah became furious that his Aura triggered her.
She made a sharp gaze at him, she could only see his back. She looked at the old man who was already looking at her.
"Hey student", she shouted to Alvah. Alvah turned around, looking at her.
She got a clear definition of handsome, good looking and breath taking when she got a clear image of his room. He left her traumatized with his beauty
He stood up walking to where she stood. She could only mute herself, remembering clearly all the things she said deliberately said to his hearing.
This didn't stop her rude attitude though.
"You are my student?", she asked him although she is aware.
" I know you're not dumb".... he replied to her with a lazy look.
She was shocked with the way he spoke to her. "How dare you?". She said harshly and with rage.
"Stop it now". The old sage said to end the little conflict.
" You never told me that my teacher was a female, and your grand daughter". Alvah said his mind to him.
" What if I am a female, can't I be your teacher?", she raised her head high looking at him.
He responded.... "You are not worth being my teacher".
"Alvah", the old sage shouted his name.
He looked at the old man sternly. Old sage spoke, "she's my student".
The girl sure got on Alvah's nerves. He admires the old sage and his teaching mixed with perseverance, he is undoubtedly great.
After a minute stare at Alvah she asked,
"Alvah you seem to like my grandpa a lot".
He replied, "Don't you?, like I do?". She frowned deeply.
" Let's meet tomorrow, you two disperse, I don't want you both to cross path today", he said this and walked away leaving the both of them.
The girl looked at her grandpa leave, turning back she didn't see Alvah. She looked around but she saw no one.
"Where did he go?".
She walked all the way home and alone. When she got there, she had gone to Alvah's room mistakenly. She opened the door wide expecting to see no one but saw him sitting at the edge of the bed
She frowned and closed the door.
When she turned to leave, she saw her grandpa looking at her, "You have the other room".
"I know that now", she said heading to the other to the room.
He sighed and walked into his room.
In the evening, she and her grandpa came out to eat dinner. Alvah wasn't present. She had wanted to ask but she didn't want her grandpa to yell at her.
She ate the food quietly when suddenly rage and anger flowed in her veins, "Why the hell did you tell him about our relationship?". she said hitting the table hard with her fist.
"Because I can't get along with you, you chose to tell your student, who else would you tell, the district".
The old sage said nothing to her, he could only look at her with a face of disappointment.
" Someone's voice is too loud", Alvah said coming out of his room. He closed the door behind him loudly.
She glared at him. She doubted that he knew who she was.
Alvah wasn't hungry, but he did come out to counteract every word or finger that she points at his old sage.
He sat beside her on the dining table. " I believe I said you two shouldn't cross path till the day ends".
Old sage spoke without looking at the both of them but suddenly spared a glance at Alvah when he said, " I believe someone told me that she had just a Bit of temper", he emphasized more on the bit.
She glared at her grandfather for telling him about her temper as well. She stood up and left.
"Your food would get cold"... Alvah said looking at her departing figure.
She looked at him with a dark eye and walked away.
He just smiled at her attitude, "she doesn't know who I am". He said this with a slight grin after his perfect smile.
The old man heard what he said. Truly he knew Alvah was something, especially because Alvah can't even tell him more about himself. Worse of all he's an infernal.
He's amazed with his character but then is he pretending?, he asked himself.
" I'll take the food to her, it was a far journey, she needs to be energized". He left Alvah to go meet his granddaughter.
He knocked a few times on her door but got no reply. Impatiently, he opened the door. She was seated on the chair looking furious, she looked him in the eye.
He threw the food at her feet. Her eyes widened in shock.
" If you want, you get out of here. I.... He, waited patiently for you for two months. Do you know what he is. Don't blame me if you see one arm lying next to you int he morning, yes your arm". He quickly replied himself.
She was startled.
" I only told him we had our differences yet you came and proved him right, why didn't you prove me wrong and not embarrass yourself.
At least he chooses to stay with me, did you?".
