Strike the Blood: The 4th Primogenitor

Third Person PoV

Kojou was near the staircase of the middle school building, he was here for his bet with Yukina.

School had already ended and Asagi was busy with her project.

To make the bet fair he hadn't asked Nagisa about the letter and Nagisa hadn't talked about it too.

"Yo! Himeragi." Kojou said seeing his observer find him and come near him.

"Senpai, You really are here. You are a sisco-ahem, worrier aren't you?"

Kojou looked at Yukina for a while before saying.

"I am, why?" He decided to be amigious here.

"Nothing."

The two followed Nagisa till the rooftop and stopped before the door, which was closed.

Without any wait, Kojou twisted the doorknob and opened the door, to find Nagisa looming over a cardboard excitedly.

The boy who gave her the letter was lifting a white cat. Seeing Kojou barge in like that Nagisa came over and asked.

"Kojou-kun? What are you doing in the middle school building?"

"Oh, I saw you getting a letter yesterday, it was for cats?"

"Yes, it was a list for my sports club members, I was helping Nagisa-san take care of the cats." The boy answered.

Yukina by now was facing over the cats, her nekomatan love was overflowing.

"So why did you not ask me for help?"

"Really Kojou-kun? Our apartment doesn't allow pets, so me and Yukina-chan are out. I didn't tell you about it as Yukina-chan may feel bad for not being able to help."

"Oh, anyways where did you get that cat from?"

"I didn't get it, Kanon-chan was taking care of it."

"Your classmates?" Kojou asked unsure of the name, he didn't ask much about Nagisa's class so he was unfamiliar with the name.

"Hai, that is me. Kanase Kanon. This was my fault, sorry for that."

Hearing the voice coming behind from him Kojou turned around and saw an angel.

'I didn't sense her coming?' Kojou glanced over her to see if she was something special.

Shoulder-length white hair that is braided by a violet ribbon at the end on the left side with bangs hanging over her eyebrows and clear blue eyes.

Saikai Academy uniform with violet underclothes inside it.

"Don't be sorry, it's not much of a problem Kanon-chan!" Nagisa said.

Kojou was now near the lockers, lifting a bag full of cat food.

"So, Kanase. You were in Nagisa's class last year?"

"Yes, she was very helpful and kind to me, I have problems talking with my classmates due to my shy nature. She helped me a lot this time too."

"Oh no, the boys tend to not talk to you, as they like you. They have strict laws regarding you and Yukina-chan, they even call you the middle school saint!" Nagisa immediately started ranting.

"Me too? But Kanon-chan is more beautiful." Yukina tried to remove herself from the conversation.

"Like you are the one to say!" Nagisa retorted.

"Alright! Stop the beauty contest and let's go, Also Nagisa will be the most beautiful if she let her hair down!" Kojou said.

"Thanks, Also Kojou-kun watch your back the students curse you in my class. I am going to apologize to Takashimizu-kun for troubling him, Kojou-kun and Yukina-chan help Kanon-chan in my place."

Nagisa went away leaving her words.

"Alright, let's go Kanase!"

"Thanks, Onii-san!"

'Even Nagisa stopped calling me that years ago, this does sound nice though.'

The trio reached in a forest in the foothills of the city. They were going towards a monastery.

"Your hair color is natural?" Kojou was making small talk to help Kanon overcome her shyness.

"Yes, My real father was a foreigner. I grew up in Japan, so I don't know him much."

"Is that so?"

Finally they reached the place, a ruined monastery.

"Were you a nun before, Kanase?"

"No, but I always wanted to become one."

'A nun cosplay would be amazing! Ahem! My thought are getting way to depraved now-a-days, gotta rein in my desires, maybe I can Asagi to do one for me though.Hehe!'

They went inside the destroyed monastery and found numerous cats running around.

"Cats! They're cats! Senpai!" Yukina said in joy before going up ansld lifting a cat to rub it on her cheeks.

"The neko lover strikes again!" Kojou muttered.

'Nagisa would look great in a cat costume as well- no dirty thoughts Begone!'

"You were looking after these many cats?"

"I only intended to do this until I can help them find homes."

"So that is why Nagisa was helping you. Well I guess I can ask some of my classmates for help too."

"Sorry for troubling you! I am just worried that i wont be able to look after them forever."

"No, it's fine. You would make a great nun."

"Thanks, onii-san."

Kojou's gaze was focused on the mural which was not ruined, drawn on the wall.

'Why is there so much magical power sealed in that mural? As expected Kanase isn't normal. I will talk with Natsuki-chan later about this.'

Next day, after contacting his classmates, Kojou found one willing to take in a bunch of cats.

"Thanks, Uchida!"

"No problem, Akatsuki. Everyone in my family loves cats!"

A brown haired girl that was standing beside the boy said, seeing Kanase standing below a tree looking at Kojou.

"I didn't knew that Akatsuki-san was close to the middle school saint."

"You know Kanase?"

"Yes, My family lived near the monastery, but after the incident we kind of drifted apart."

"Incident?" Kojou questioned.

"Yes, lot of people died in that, including my friend, Kanase was the only survivor. I remember my friend everytime I see her. I hope you can be friends with her."

"Sure."

The boy and girl went away, carrying the box full of kittens with them.

"So now all the cats are taken care of?" Kojou said, happy that he didn't have to spend more time with cats.

'I already have one in my mind to handle.'

"Hai, only the one I just found remains, I can take care of it on my own."

Kanon said gesturing towards Yukina who was holding a small brown kitten.

"Another one? You must have really good connections with cats."

"Breaking rules again, Akatsuki Kojou? Animals are prohibited on school grounds."

Natsuki Minamiya was standing behind Kojou, in her Gothic Lolita dress with her parasol shielding her from the sun.

"Natsuki-chan?" And like always a folded fan found it's way to strike Kojou on his head.

"Don't call your teacher by 'chan'. I will overlook this on one condition."

"Condition?" Kojou mused, Natsuki-chan didn't put conditions without a meaning behind them.

"Akatsuki Kojou, accompany me tonight." Natsuki-chan said looking into Kojou's eyes.

"Huh?!" Yukina uttered in shock, but Kojou's response was even more shocking.

"It seems my popular phase had begun, even teachers can't resist my charms!" Kojou said in a shoujo male lead voice making exaggerated motions.

Once again the fan of teaching found its way to strike him.

"Not like that, Akatsuki!"

"Hai-Hai!" Kojou said agreeing to the weird condition.

'I needed to talk with her anyways.'

Same night on top of a building.

Kojou was standing, wearing a yukata of black color with golden embroidery.

He was looking at Natsuki-chan and Astarte.

Natsuki-chan was wearing a black yukata with purple lining while Astarte wore a purple yukata.

Natsuki-chan's hair was done in a bun and Astarte's hair was in a side ponytail held up by a large butterfly shaped ribbon.

Astarte was also eating takoyaki, with a blissful expression on her face, something a homunculus shouldn't have.

"Why was I waiting here for two hours while you were enjoying the festival?"

"I wanted to give Astarte a chance to enjoy the night shops. Anyways, why are you here, Transfer student?"

Natsuki-chan's said, hinting towards Yukina, who was standing behind, wearing navy blue yukata with flower prints, her weapon on her back in its case.

"I am the 4th Primogenitor's observer!"

"A yukata is necessary for you to observe him?"

"Tha-That is, Nagisa-chan made me wear this when she heard there was a festival!"

Yukina spoke with a blush glancing towards Kojou.

"Whatever, Akatsuki you read the information I mailed you?"

"Yes, I didn't knew those possession mask guys were behind the incident."

"Yes, two of them fought destroying the surroundings, there have been five such incidents in the past two weeks."

"And what am I to do here?" Kojou asked his role here.

"Catch them."

"Didn't the report say that they could fly?"

"No worries, just shoot them down using your familiars. It's safe, and you should have enough control to not destroy the city."

"Sure, why not?"

Yukina looking at the destroyed buildings in the distance said.

"But if summoning and magic did that much damage, then why didn't I sense it?"

"So even a sword shaman of the LKO was unable to detect it. What about you, Akatsuki."

"I did sense it but I ignored it as demons making trouble."

Kojou lied smoothly, not revealing that he went to Japan, during the attack, he isn't supposed to leave the island just like that, it will be a huge incident if it is revealed.

"Try not to kill them, Akatsuki. We still need the information."

Just then two streaks of light clashed near the tower.

"Those are the possession mask?" Kojou said seeing the clashing rising in intensity.

"They showed up earlier than expected, Astarte inform the school to start the fireworks."

"Aceept."

"To hide my familiars?" Kojou figured out the hidden meaning in Natsuki-chan's order.

"Yes, time to get started."

Natsuki-chan announced and teleported the four of them inside the tower above which the clash of light was happening.

"Void shifting magic?" Yukina enquired.

"Probably." Kojou answered, this was almost as fast as his mist teleportation.

The match between the two angel like beings finally reached its height. The white haired angel launched several golden beams at its opponent.

But they were all dodged, causing harm to the base of the tower and the surrounding streets.

"What is that Magic?" The witch of the void questioned.

"It resembles our divine possession techniques!" Yukina answered, seemingly knowing this kind of attacks.

"We are gonna take them out, go Himeragi Yukina." Natsuki-chan said swinging her fan.

Purple chains came and bound the two angels, stopping them mid air. Yukina with her spear ran atop the chains to attack the angels.

"Sekkarou!" But before the attack could connect the chains were shattered. And Yukina was pushed back.

The angels continued their fight unhindered by the disruption.

"They shattered the chains?" Natsuki-chan said in shock.

Yukina landed safely on the tower, tge yukata riding upto her thighs, giving Kojou a tantalizing view.

And finally Kojou decide to get involved, seeing that the ones present here didn't succeed in their attempts.

He jumped towards the black haired angel, swinging his fist with immense power behind it.

While he had simultaneously covered the bottom of the tower in mist, the attacks by the angels failed to make the tower fall due to this.

"He predicted the angels attack?" The witch said, surprised by the battle sense shown by Kojou.

The punch was dodged by Kojou didn't panic, he let his momentum carry him making him do a front-flip midair.

He created a diamond platform at his feet and jumped towards the black angel, successfully landing a kick to its head.

Launching the angel towards the tower, he landed back near his party. Standing silently, while observing the white angel.

'Something about it feels familiar, but what it is?'

Seeing its opponent down, the white angel rushed at it and pierced it's stomach with its hand and landed on the tower.

Kojou immediately jumped near them but didn't stop the white angel from eating the other angel.

By now Kojou had a grasp on what that familiar feeling was, and the eye color just confirmed it.

The white angel looked at him, a few drops fell from its mask and then it flew away.

"Kanase?"

By then Natsuki-chan and Yukina had come down to his level.

"Akatsuki-senpai, why didn't you stop it?"

But Kojou ignored the question of Yukina and looked at Natsuki-chan, who was eyeing him with suspicion.

"Natsuki-chan's, what do you know about the Adelard Monastery?"

"Why are you asking about that now?"

"Because in the murals in it, there is an impressive amount of magical power sealed. I faintly sensed it. It was lower than yours or mine, buy still quite large."

"I do not know about it, except the incident, but my memory is a but foggy about it, still what connection it with the angels?"

"No, it does. Please Look into the monastery. I will handle this case from now."

"I will look into it after, but why do you want to handle this case?"

"Because that white haired angel was Kanase. And she is Nagisa's friend, one which she asked me to help her."

"What?"

"Are you sure about that senpai?"

"Yes, I am sure. She even shed some tears, seeing me."

"Fine then, I will leave Kanase and the possession mask to you. I will look into the Adelard Monastery."

"Thanks, Natsuki-chan."

With the situation being resolved for the moment, the four of them went back to their respective houses.
