Strike the Blood: The 4th Primogenitor

Third Person PoV

"Kojou-kun, can you save Kanon-chan?" Nagisa asked with a tremor in her voice.

Coming home Kojou had explained the situation to Nagisa and Asagi. He was sitting on the floor, while Nagisa and Asagi were on the sofa.

"I don't know what to do to save her. I need to figure out her problem, only then can I save her. I will go to her house tomorrow, hopefully I can figure something out."

"That's for the best. From what you said, their powers are similar to divine possession and they can threaten you. It's best if you first investigate what you are dealing with."

"Wouldn't it be nice if this was Disney, then the villain would tell me his power and weakness by himself, making my job easy." Kojou said with a sigh.

"I will try my best to save Kanase, Nagisa." Kojou said to Nagisa.

"Thanks, Kojou-kun."

At this point even Asagi couldn't give much advice, she didn't know Kanon well or knew much about divine possession.

Kojou will have to rely on his own strength and Yukina's knowledge this time.

Kojou and Yukina left their school after lunch, with Natsuki-chan's permission.

They went to the place Nagisa had told them was Kanon's home address. The duo took a monorail and reached their destination in a short amount of time.

"Magus craft? Huh, seems weird for Kanase to stay in an industrial area."

Kojou said, looking at the factory looking scenery in front of him.

"Yes, this company primarily makes automata for industrial use, this is the address given by Nagisa-chan to you, it seems that she lives in the housing provided by the company."

"Makes a little sense then, her father who took her in after the Monastery incident works here."

Reaching the reception Kojou glanced at the automata standing there and asked her.

"We would like to meet Kanase Kanon, staying in room 204."

The automaton answered with her hands spread as if saying what can I do.

"I am sorry, but she's not in right now."

Hearing that Kojou was even more suspicious.

'She didn't come to school either and isn't at her home? That too just aftet the incidnet at night?'

"Then how about Kanase Kensei-San?" Yukina asked about the adoptive father of Kanon.

"Pardon me for asking but who are you?" The automata asked.

"Himeragi of the LKO." Yukina said without any hesitation.

"One moment, please." The automata seemed to have called someone.

Sitting in the lounge Kojou asked Yukina.

"Is it fine to use your name like this?"

"We are getting something because of it, so I don't see any demerit as of now."

While the two were waiting, the door of the elevator opened and a blonde woman wearing a purple suit walked out.

A clipboard in her hand and a demon registration band on her left hand. Seeing the band both Kojou and Yukina were guarded.

"I'm Beatrice Basler. I'm Kanase Kensei's secretary. I am sorry to ask but why does an attack mage of the LKO want to meet Kanase Kensei-san?"

"I would prefer to talk to him directly." Yukina said sternly.

"That poses a problem, Kanase is not on the island as of now. He is in an authorised research facility."

"Is Kanase Kanon also with him?" Yukina questioned.

"Yes, I have been informed about it. If you want to meet her urgently, I could show you the facility."

"Sure." This time Kojou said, before Yukina could answer.

Kojou had seen the glimpse of a smile on the woman's face just as she offered the tour.

'I know that she is planning something, but my intuition says this will be good for me.'

Yukina glanced at Kojou, but seeing him motion with his hand to stay calm, she didn't ask any questions.

The motor of the two seater aircraft was whirring. The pilot introduced himself to the two passengers.

"I'm Iowe Kirishima. I will be taking you guys to the island. This plane is a little rusty, so hold tight."

And with that the plane became airborne. Kojou sat leisurely, looking at the scenery below.

A little while after the plane attained its steady height, Kojou felt Yukina shivering. He looked over to find her face as white as paper.

'Does she have Acrophobia?'

"Himeragi, are you afraid of heights or aeroplanes by any chance?"

"No! I am completely fine. I am a sword shaman of the LKO. I am not afraid of heights or air-!"

Not letting her speak any further, Kojou wrapped his arm around her shoulder and scooted a little closer to her, their legs brushing.

Yukina blushed at that and looked at her senpai, to find him as calm as always.

"Senpai?"

"Nagisa is also scared of aeroplanes."

Kojou didn't comment any further and neither did Yukina. Both stayed like this for a while before Kojou spoke.

"Are we certain that Kanese's father had to do something with the angels?"

"Yes, he most probably adopted Kanon-chan so that he could alter her. I felt familiar with her when we first met, and now I know why."

"Well Nagisa asked me to help her with this too, last night, so we gotta help our saint."

While the two were deepening their relationship the pilot spoke up.

"Yo! Idiot couple, the island is here, buckle up!"

And nosedived the plane, making the situation inside the plane tumultuous. Yukina screamed in a girlish way that she didn't show much.

"Kyahh!!!"

With a flight full of turbulence the rusty plane landed in a clearing in the island full of trees.

Kojou and Yukina came out and looked around. Yukina immediately crouched down with her weapon case in her hands, as if trying to hug the earth.

"Are you sure they are here?" Kojou asked the pilot.

"Who knows, you will meet them sooner or later. Bye, idiot couple, blame Beatrice for this!"

The pilot started the plane and began flying. Kojou was looking at the flying aircraft and made a mountain like symbol on his chest using his fingers.

"May Zeus smite his plane and his body be ripped by the oceanic sharks by Poseiden's wrath." Kojou said calmly, and his words came true.

Just as the man got away from the island lightning struck the plane making it fall. Seeing the lightning strike happen without any clouds, Yukina said.

"Senpai, did you do that?"

"No, Zeus must be on my side today. Who knows, maybe Poseiden will listen to me as well."

Yukina sighed deeply hearing the nonchalance in Kojou's voice but said regardless.

"Let's look around the island, we must find a way to survive the night."

'Sorry, Himeragi I can go back whenever I want but you will be left alone, also my intuition is still telling me that this will be good for me.'

Kojou mentally apologised to Yukina for letting her stay in an island without any preparation for his own benefit.

"I can't believe they did something like this to take the 4th Primogenitor off Itogami island, I let my guard down!"

Yukina was berating herself for this mishap. But Kojou didn't mind much and said.

"You were busy being scared of aeroplanes, no wonder you were outwitted."

"No, that was me letting my guard down."

"Sure, sure!" Kojou didn't mind her being flustered.

After finding a trail the duo started to walk in one direction to reach the shore.

"We need to find shelter, food and water to survive, before sunset preferably."

"Indeed. We are stuck here until we are rescued, who knows maybe we will have to start the family if no one comes!" Kojou said jokingly.

"Start a family?! Senpai, I knew you were perverted, but this much I didn't knew." Yukina said, taking Kojou's joke seriously.

"Gimme a break!" Kojou said.

Sometime later, the two of them reached the shore. The shore was an interesting sight to behold, not due to its beauty but because of the structures present on it.

"Pillboxes?" Yukina said.

"Indeed, and seeing the shells down here, a fight must have been here recently."

"We can use the pillbox as shelter, although we may need to be careful at night."

"Not necessarily, the shells give two scenarios. First someone is on the island and fought off someone, second a fight happened and was resolved making this island uninhabited. If there is someone on the island we will sooner or later find them."

Yukina nodded at the hypothesis provided by Kojou. They went inside the guard post and made sure it was suitable for spending the night.

Finding it satisfactory, Yukina went into the forest to find fresh water for drinking, while Kojou went to catch fish, using Alrescha-Glacies he could easily catch fish.

…

On the shore.

"I, Akatsuki Kojou, successor to the blood of "Kaleid Blood", now release your constraints. Come, Twelfth Familiar Alrescha-Glacies!"

The huge mermaid appeared and Kojou said.

"Now bring me two fishes!"

The familiar looked at Kojou for a while before shaking its head and doing as asked.

"Is it mocking my intelligence?"

Kojou was flabbergasted, it seems not only Regulus-Aurum but even this familiar was very smart.

'But what if all of them are smart and I just don't use them enough? I need to check this with Mesarthim-Adamas and Natra-Cinereus. ' Kojou thought.

In that time two fishes came up to the shore and jumped out of the water and died jumping on Kojou's legs.

Yukina by then had returned with a discovery, she had found a source of freshwater and some coconuts.

After grilling the fish on fire created with Regulus-Aurum, the two sat beneath a palm tree and saw their food.

"What is this?" Kojou asked seeing a lot of white things to eat.

"Coconut, coconut sashimi, rotary sliced coconut, shredded coconut and soup made from coconut and seawater."

Kojou said with a deadpan seeing the vast variety of dishes presented to him.

"This is quite the feast isn't it?" But Yukina didn't find the hidden sarcasm in his voice and said.

"There are seconds!"

'Thankfully I have fish.'

Back on Itogami island.

Natsuki Minamiya was going through the records which held the incident at Adelard's Monastery, but she was unable to find anything.

"Are all records destroyed?" The witch murmured, even Astarte had failed to find them, the two only got two names for evidence.

Wiseman's blood and Nina Adelard, two great names in Alchemy.

"Just what is hidden in that Monastery?"

Meanwhile Sayaka was standing in the monastery looking for clues for Kojou. She had come to Itogami island, his phone was not reachable and the princess was also missing.

She was hoping that Kojou would help her but he was also missing. Just then she heard someone walk in the monastery.

"Who is there?" She said, her hand reaching towards Koukarin.

"It's me, Kojou's friend. If you cooperate with me I can tell you where Kojou and Himeragi Yukina are."

"You were with Vatler back then?"

"Yes, due to an unfortunate situation I was with him but now I can help you-"

Yaze's sound sense caught two people walking up to the monastery, two people who he was familiar with and not on good terms.

Asagi and Nagisa had come to the Monastery. Seeing Yaze alongwith Sayaka here, Asagi commented.

"What are you doing here, Yaze?"

Before he could answer, Sayaka asked Asagi.

"Where is Akatsuki Kojou, Akatsuki Kojou's girlfriend!"

"That's what I would also like to know, he vanished from the island with Yukina-chan after lunch. Why are you looking for him?"

"I wanted to ask for his help."

"In what?"

"Confidential. Forget that, aren't you too calm about him disappearing out of nowhere?"

"He can come back whenever he wants can't he? I am more worried that he will not come back until he gets what he wants."

Sayaka agreed with Asagi, she knew Kojou could escape from captivity wherever he was, if he wanted to.

"Um, can I speak?" Nagisa said.

"Sure."

"Isn't Kanon-chan also missing, can it be related?"

"Most probably, the two were looking for her, Eh, he will be fine. He is immortal anyways."

Sayaka and Yaze were a little bit concerned with the lack of concern his sister and girlfriend had for Kojou.

"Can't you still find or look for him?" Sayaka asked.

"I am pretty sure he is gonna tell me by night, but sure. Come let's go to a cafe. And no you are not coming Yaze, as I am sure you would know what is going on, right?"

Asagi said harshly and without waiting for a response went outside, Sayaka trailing behind the two.

In the Cafe.

"Kojou went to a deserted island owned by Magus Craft. I didn't look into this company much, but it hides so much?"

Asagi said seeing that Magus Craft has connections with the American army.

"Then why is Kanon-chan involved with this?" Nagisa asked, worried about her friend.

"They want to use her as a military weapon. But Kirasaka, why are you looking for Kanon-chan?"

"The one who I was to guard wanted to meet her. But now she is missing."

"Who were you supposed to guard?"

"La Folia Rihavein, the princess of Aldgyr."

"I think this is much more intimate than I initially thought." Asagi said.
