Chapter 146 – Honey
It's been an hour since Floyd and Kanraku discussed inside the clinic, and the latter left as he returned back to the laboratory.
A day later, Floyd's injury was getting better and better; although his right shoulder was still not fully healed, Floyd had already made it move.
Chansey didn't prohibit him from moving outside the clinic so Floyd could act on his own accord, training his pokemon, and teaching the group of people about Pokemon.
And currently, the wild pokemon would be relocated inside the Beast's Sanctuary.
Floyd can see Eevee, Wooper, Togepi, Mime Jr., Ekans, Teddiursa, Cherubi happily playing around. Togepi is the one who introduces to her new friends to Beast's Sanctuary since Ekans, Teddiursa, Cherubi are still new here and a bit unfamiliar.
This would be the first time the Scout will operate in the Safe Zone since the incident last week happened.
Floyd also has a battle with his own Fraxure against Onix and Rhydon, and surprisingly, Fraxure almost defeated, but he wins.
If it's not for newly learned Outrage, he would really lose the battle because Fraxure's Dig move has really no advantage against both Ground Pokemon. So he was forced to confront them one versus two.
His pokemon started to improve, his two Goomys also leveled up, the oldest which became level 21, and the youngest who became level 15, the latter exceeded the level of his elder sister who remained level 14.
When the other pokemon from beast's Sanctuary heard that there was some reward in fighting, some who were not busy took taken interest and Floyd let his remaining pokemon to fight.
Then, he also approached Beedrill then opened his Mega Evolution Stone, and to his surprise, Beedrill really reacted. When Beedrill saw it was Floyd, he nodded and then left.
So, it really is!
The stone he was holding was a Beedrillite, but it's a pity, he's not planning to raise bug pokemon. Maybe he can use it as a bargain later once the Mega Evolution is known. Floyd has another goal which is to find some Meteorite Stones and Key Stones all over the world.
Returning back to Chansey to heal pokemon, he met the other people here and saw their pokemon, some have two Rattata or two Metapods which made him helpless about them.
Go Jisung the only one member in all batches who didn't catch pokemon, jumped excitedly showing off his newly caught Caterpie. His eyes filled with tears, other people might not understand how envious he was seeing all the people in their batches have one or more than one pokemon, but he couldn't even convince one pokemon to join him.
Hu Tianyi who happened to pass by glanced at him and snorted disdainfully which made Go Jisung mood low, other people here didn't react but on their mind, but they were also mocking him on their minds.
Floyd didn't look down on him and motivate him, he even made some suggestions to his pokemon. Go Jisung listened to his instruction carefully as he recognized Floyd's ability in terms of knowledge about pokemon, and then Floyd left.
It's already Half a month has passed and there's a lot of things have changed, especially the people from the batch. From being skeptical about Pokemon to a crazy trainer who wants to catch many pokemon.
There's no even pokeball, how else once the pokeball appeared, these people would surely be in a catcher frenzy catching any pokemon they want to catch. These would surely break the balance of the ecology in the forest.
Floyd thought that if the Pokeball had ever been made, then he needed to warn everyone about it.
Chen Yu and Kang Jihoon became busy relocating the wild with other people and the scouts also started doing their job since the wild pokemon already left the safe zone.
After a few minutes of healing pokemon, Floyd received a call from Kanraku, he took the phone that Kanraku gave to each of members of batch.
"Hello, professor?" Floyd answered.
[Floyd, can you come back here in the lab for a bit, there's something I will tell you. Just find Chansey because there's a shortcut there in the clinic]
"Okay, I will go now," Floyd nodded then hung up the phone and went to Chansey.
A few minutes after receiving Kanraku's call, Floyd found himself in the laboratory. There, Nakamura beckoned him, leading him through a series of corridors that connected the laboratory to another area – an open space that, while part of the lab, felt distinctly different.
As Floyd entered this open area, he noticed Kanraku and his disciples gathered around. His attention was immediately drawn to a Pidgeot nearby. This Pidgeot was known to Floyd; it was one of the guardians residing in the village. Though it rarely interacted with humans, Floyd had occasionally caught glimpses of it soaring through the sky, so he was aware of its presence.
What truly piqued Floyd's curiosity, however, was a large beehive nearby – an imposing structure about 6 feet tall and 7 feet wide.
A sweet, enticing fragrance emanated from it, so alluring that Floyd's stomach rumbled in response. He had little doubt about what it was.
Even though he had never seen or touched a beehive before, he was fairly certain it was honey – after all, which Pokémon besides Beedrill and Vespiquen would have beehives?
Yet, Floyd pondered how the Pidgeot, despite being a strong Pokémon, managed to acquire the beehive. In his estimation, while Pidgeot was an Ace-level Pokémon, it didn't seem as strong as Blastoise or Gyarados.
Even Gyarados and Blastoise would have a hard time taking it on.
The discussion that followed, however, brought a revelation that surprised not only Floyd but also Kanraku's disciples. They all knew of Kanraku's ability to understand Pokémon, but the details of this particular incident were unexpected.
"So, you were the reason?" Floyd realized why Ursaluna harbored such resentment towards them, especially towards him and his Pokémon. It wasn't just about the meteorite stones in Ursaluna's territory; another factor was also due to this Pidgeot.
Kanraku, meanwhile, couldn't hide his excitement about the honey. "Floyd, this honey is incredible. It might be the most delicious I've ever tasted," he exclaimed, sampling it with his finger.
Floyd, while acknowledging the honey's appeal, reminded Kanraku, "This could be beneficial for the beasts as well."
"Indeed? We should research its effects," Kanraku agreed, intrigued by the possibility.
Just then, Pidgeot let out a cry, drawing their attention. Kanraku, with a hint of embarrassment, explained, "Ah, I almost forgot. Pidgeot claims ownership of the beehive. He's looking to trade with you, Floyd."
Floyd raised an eyebrow. "Is that why you called me here?" he asked.
Kanraku shook his head. "No, there's something else I need to discuss with you, but that's for later. For now, we need to decide what to do about this beehive situation," he said, clearly pondering the best course of action.
Floyd turned his attention to Pidgeot,"Pidgeot, do you realize the trouble you've caused? Your actions in the forest enraged Ursaluna. We were in grave danger because of that. We narrowly escaped with our lives," he said, his tone conveying the seriousness of the situation.
He continued, addressing the bird Pokémon directly, "So, I have to ask, how do you plan to compensate us?"
