Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 145 – Last Year Meteorites

Floyd, holding one of the stones, responded with a half-truth. "This one, I'm not entirely sure about. There's something different about it. It feels odd, but I can't explain it," he said, carefully crafting his explanation.

While he was aware of the Tumblestone's significance, he chose to withhold the full extent of his knowledge for the time being.

Kanraku, intrigued by Floyd's description, reached out to examine the stones more closely. The unique texture and aura of the Tumblestones seemed to resonate with an unspoken mystery, further fueling his scientific curiosity.

"I will analyze it after I go back, no, wait, I will call now," Kanraku took his phone and explained to his disciple to come to the clinic.

"And how about this?" Kanraku took another rock from Floyd and looked carefully, "Wait, it feels familiar, hmm… when did I saw it?" he touched his chin as he thought about it.

"It seems meteorites or something," Floyd pretended to surmise something.

"Meteorites? Oh yeah, that's right, meteorites! Last year there, a big meteorite came from this earth, we thought it was already the end of the world because that meteorite was so freaking big, but unexpectedly it exploded before it even landed on the ozone layer of the earth," Kanraku muttered as he thinks about what happened.

"After that meteorites exploded, they scattered into pieces, some went to space while some scattered around the earth. Village Chief also told me that there was a meteorite that appeared somewhere near here in this village on Takihama Island; no wonder it's so familiar, the color and texture are similar to what I've seen in the record. I didn't expect that you meet it," he added as he looked at Floyd.

Floyd on the other hand, was dumbfounded hearing what Kanraku said. There are actually big meteorites that appeared here in this world last year. Then he started to search in his mind, especially about the meteorites that happened last year, and it was true, it really happened.

It might be his fault since he had only appeared here in this world for more than eight months ago, and he didn't search everything about his memory except for his identity if he still have a parents or relatives.

But based on his memory he was an orphan with no relatives, the orphanage also has been destroyed since the pokemon appeared, so for him, there's no sense in thinking about this memory.

But he didn't expect that he almost forget this meteorites scene last year, it seemed he needed to absorb all of his memory to gather more information later, he thought.

"Kyouju," Aizawa appeared in thee clinic as he went forward with them.

"Here, it's an unknown stone, start researching this first, I will come later after we and Floyd-san finish what we're talking about," Kanraku handed the Tumblestones to her.

"I have still more spare here, take some more, it will make your research easier," Floyd took some inside his backpack and handed it to her.

Aizawa took it embarrassingly, and she said, "Then, Kyouju, uhm…Floyd-san, excuse me," then she left.

"So, have you find something unique about this stone," Kanraku asked he holding the meteorites then looked at Floyd.

"Yes, a great discovery," Floyd nodded his head.

"Oh, really. Tell me, I'm interested," Kanraku asked with some expectation at him.

"When me and my beasts escaped in danger, we've found ourselves in unknown cave, I thought it might be the Mankey and Primeape's territory but I didn't expected it would be from Ursaluna," Floyd sighed thinking about their tragic moments against Ursaluna.

"When I exploring Ursaluna's territory, I didn't see anyone presence there, which is just like I said earlier, I thought from Mankey and Primeape's territory. Then I saw a 9 feet tall and 5 feet wide of rock that I guessed should be the meteorites rock, then an unexpected happened with my beasts," Floyd said.

"What?" Kanraku exclaimed hearing there's seems a connection between pokemon and meteorites, "What is it? Tell me." He excitedly shook Floyd's shoulder.

"Ahhh, professor, my shoulder," Floyd reminded him that his right shoulder was still injured.

"Ah, Floyd-san, I'm sorry, I'm just too excited, I will calm for a bit," Kanraku calmed down himself looking at Floyd with some expectation.

"You don't need to tell me, I can tell," Floyd rolled his eyes at him, then he continued talking, "My all beast's learned new moves one by one," he said as he looked at dumbfounded Kanraku.

"As if they felt an inspiration from it, and what they learned were not the same, but different, there even some move that I can't tell what's type," He added.

"Moves, the attack moves of the beasts the we studying?" Kanraku's already breathing rapidly and you can tell his excitement about new things.

"Yes, and it seemed we're really right, we're on the right path," Floyd smiled as he looked at Floyd.

"It's all thanks to you Floyd, you're really the big contributor on this?" Kanraku really felt glad he invited Floyd for coming here, it might be the best decision he had ever made.

"Don't put almost everything to me, it's everyone effort," Floyd shook his head, rejecting his praise.

"So, should we tell this?" Kanraku asked.

"I suggested, it much better to keep secret for now, and only let few know about this because it might take greed from the other people. This is the reason I didn't tell the full details from the earlier meeting," Floyd said.

"Yes, you're right, it might take us risk. Our tragic experienced against Ursaluna was already the example," Kanraku sighed as he said.

"Professor, I want to ask permission if you may?" Floyd said.

"What is it?" Kanraku asked.

"How about we recruit the Venusaur from our base?" Floyd suggested.

"Venusaur? The one who rescued us? Why you suddenly have taken interest on it, do you like it? But it's so strong, seems even more stronger than my Blastoise," Kanraku was pessimistic about what Floyd's plan, "And we didn't know where is it right now?"

Floyd, undeterred by Kanraku's concerns, replied confidently, "I believe it's still near the area where it rescued us. Their habitat must be close to that location."

Kanraku, however, was visibly worried about Floyd's proposal. "Are you seeking danger? Haven't we learned enough from our encounter with Ursaluna?" he questioned, hoping Floyd would reconsider this risky idea.

Floyd elaborated on his rationale. "What I'm particularly interested in is Venusaur's 'Grassy Terrain' ability. If we could harness that, the growth of our berry trees could accelerate significantly," he explained.

Kanraku's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Faster than Cherrim's Sunny Day?" he asked, intrigued by the potential.

Floyd nodded. "While it's different, it can synergize with Cherrim's Sunny Day. The combination could greatly enhance the berry trees' growth," he suggested.

Floyd then continued, "And considering our plans for a live broadcast, imagine showcasing a spectacular transformation of the village's vegetation. The combined effect of Cherrim's Sunny Day and Venusaur's Grassy Terrain could be a remarkable sight. It might draw even more interest from the villagers."
