Path of the Sun Chaser

King Ambrosius walked around with his daughter showing off the best of the [Rank-C] gear. He thought armor would be the best approach.

The princesses asked about each thing they could without even looking at them, since they knew their father liked to show off. This he did with little stories about where he got each item. 

After Belle picked her third piece of gear, Ambrosius finally asked the question on his mind. "My sweet Pram, why do you want to go with that 8th branch boy Ray?" 

"My intuition tells me to go with him. You now my intuition is always right dad." She said with absolute sincerity, and her father looked deep into her eyes as if searching for any faint hint of lies. Of course he couldn't find any.

Ambrosius let out a hefty sigh. "I'm glad that's the reason, however that realm isn't without dangers and there I won't be able to protect you. You have a exceedingly strong element but because of that your cultivation has been very slow." 

"That's not a problem since I'll have Ray to protect me." She says with no hesitation.

"He's strong but I don't trust he's strong enough to protect you and himself. I'm refusin..." As Ambrosius was about to finish speaking he was suddenly interrupted by a belle.

"What if I go to protect her?" Belle said confidently.

"NO I WILL NOT CHANCE THE LIVES OF TWO OF MY PRECIOUS DAUGHTERS! There's something more." The King yelled out of anger. He was about to explain, when he heard the call from Ray.

'This is a perfect opportunity.' The King thought to himself. 

"Let's go princesses I'll explain it to all three of you." Ambrosius said as he waved his hand causing a bright light to engulf all of four them.

After Ray called out to the King like he was supposed to a bright light swept over him. the next second he appears in front of another large luxurious door with the king and his daughters standing next to him.

"You have perfect timing, young Ray." The King says while examining the gear Ray chose. 

"Hmm, I see you plan to develop yourself even more, How diligent." The King states with a hint of admiration. 

"However I question whether you will be able to survive with diligence alone. However that is another matter. I have something to discuss with the three of you." The King says while staring daggers straight into Ray's eyes. The two princesses also stared at Ray, yet one could be considered to be more of a glare.

Ray returns the King's gaze with unwavering confidence. "My daughter Pram wants to go with you and she believes full heartedly you can protect her. However my other daughter also requests to accompany you to protect her." 

"If that's what you've come to say then I've already agreed to let her come with doesn't that boast the assumption that I'll protect her." Ray says cutting off the King.

Frustrated the King skipped to the point seeing that he wouldn't change his mind and even doubled down. "TIME! That is the problem. In the [Sacred Palace Realm] time moved faster than here, comparatively a year there is a day here." 

The three of them widened their eyes in surprise. Ray quickly grew angry as he realized what this meant.

"YOU WANTED TO SEND MY AWAY FOR SEVEN YEARS!?!" Ray yells out. 

"Watch your tone, boy! I am still your KING!" As Ray was about to speak, the King put his hand up to stop him. "Although I don't care for you like I do my child, however out of respect for your father I made sure to ask him first and inform you of this before entering the realm."

The next one to interrupt was Belle. "I understand waiting to tell Ray this but you could've mentioned it before me and Pram started insisting on going."

"Hey don't speak for me sister. I still want to go!" Pram said right after as if ignoring what her father said.

"You really think you can survive without seeing our family for seven years!?" Belle retorts and quickly it turns into bickering between the two sisters.

"ENOUGH!" The king shouts, quickly putting an end to their arguing. "I know how you feel belle... however the powers of fate are as mysterious as they are powerful. If this is really your finally decision my sweet Princess Pram then..." The King stops and looks down at his daughter's adorable eyes as he hesitate to say the words.

"I won't... stop you from going." The King says as he looks to the ground fighting back anger and sadness.

"Dad?" Belle said as she clutched onto his arm sleeve. "Are you really okay with this?" She says with a tremble in her voice. 

A reluctant sad smile appeared on his face. He kissed both princesses on the forehead.

"Yes I am. However I won't force you to go with her, as I can ask your sister Princess Calendra." 

As Belle looked to her father she quickly shook her head. "I'll go since it's my duty besides I already told you I would go to protect her." Belle says while looking at her sister with a caring smile.

Watching this scene unfold Ray couldn't help but think about his own family. He's only even been close with his mother, however he would miss her when he's gone like they would miss their family. He thought about changing his mind and denying them from going with. 

But as he was about to speak, when his mind flashed back to his meeting with Fate. 'Maybe this was her plan all along?' Ray thought trying to talk to Arthur again with no luck.

'Well whatever as long as I can get stronger in the end.'

"So Ray what do you say will you still enter the [Sacred Palace Realm] or have you changed your mind." The King asks while looking at him with a heavy gaze.

"I will go to grow stronger and leave with your daughters in tow, your majesty." Arthur says with a slight bow, while returning his gaze with the same arrogance he had during the tournement.

"Ok Then let's get your sister and take a look at the technique books." The King says steeling his resolve after hearing Ray's confident words. With a swing of his hand Raven is brought forward. 

"Perfect timing, I can't find the technique books anywhere." Raven remarked with grin.

The King nodded and without a word opened the door leading to the technique library.
