Path of the Sun Chaser

The light slowly dissipated to reveal a gargantuan room, seemingly the size of 16 football fields. This empty room held an elegant mystic, as if it was a rich kingdom in another world.

This was the first time, Raven and Ray have ever seen the vault so you can imagine their surprise, well you can imagine Raven's surprise.

Ray on the other hand is zoning out however because inside his head there was only his thoughts, where he would usually hear Arthur's opinion.

The noise from their inner conversations had become common place for him so only hearing his own thoughts was shocking.

'Why aren't you saying anything' Ray asked out to Arthur, Sensing his presence but not hearing his voice. 

"Head inside." The King said as he raised his hand gesturing them to the doorway, snapping Ray back to reality. 

With that, the four walked through followed by the king. As they passed through the doors the seen before them changed as if a veil was lifted off their eyes.

Suddenly the large empty room was filled, pillars of light stretched to the ceiling with objects floating the king's chest height inside.

They also each have pedestals under them with the item's name and special ability if it has one. Each pedestal has a blue crystal in the middle, that if touched will show the stats of the item.

The only people were the King and the Queen, The 8 family heads and of course previous winners of the sun tournament. So you can imagine the shock and awe on the kids' faces as they stare at the gear.

It is even arranged it rows by type, rank and element. 

The King walks in with the door closing behind him with a abundantly proud smile. 

"So what do you think, my princesses?" The King cheerfully asked clearly wanting to hear the praise of his children. 

"IT'S AMAZING, FATHER!" They both say smiling from ear to ear. 

"It really is super awesome!" Raven chimes in while staring over at the weapon area, especially the maces. 

"I've never seen anything like it." Ray says with some enthusiasm before looking off into distance. This lack of excitement didn't go unnoticed, especially by Raven who knew her brother to be awfully arrogant. 

However The ones who the King looked forward to hearing praise from had already spoken so he decided to ignore the dismissive attitude and continued speaking. 

"Now Raven you can choose two pieces of [Rank-C] gear and two technique books." The King tells Raven.

which she responds with "Thank you, your majesty." and a slight bow, then runs over to the weapons section. 

"Young Ray, you can choose four pieces of [Rank-C] gear and then call out to me and I'll take you to the room where I keep my unique technique books." The king tells Ray with a smile, and he nods and says

"Yes, your majesty." Then walks towards the weapon section as well. 

"As for my two lovely daughters we will search for what Belle wants together and you can ask me about whatever you like, however to be fair I'm giving you anything more than what you won belle." The King says and gestures for Belle to lead the way.

Ray quickly catches up to Raven in the weapons section and they begin talking about what they are looking for. Raven obviously already had a mace, which she was very fond of since it's been a reliable partner of hers and a gift from their father.

She wants to continue using the mace but also needs something to protect her, so she is searching around the shield row for something to her liking.

Ray on the other hand has no idea what he wants or is looking for, as this would usually be when he asks Arthur, so he just absent mindedly looks around.

The scene of what happened two minutes prior replaying in his head. 

He walked over to the sword section since he has experience with this type of weapon. After looking around for a few minutes he finally finds something that peeks his interest.

It is a gladiator sword made out of a crystal found on the tallest mountain, Great Rokhan. This mountain breaks through the clouds and atmosphere reaching space.

At the summit of Great Rokhan, "Sun Touched crystal" form, and as they absorb the light element they grow stronger.

That's the crystal this sword is made out of and it's rightfully named "light devouring sword".

Ray presses the blue crystal and a screen came up.

He took this sword and continued over to the armor section, while inspecting the sword and the more he looks at it the more it dawns on him.

'This was completely his choice and without any advice.'

Ray is still lost when looking for armor but more and more he thought back and gradually decides to prioritize speed since his body was already strong enough to take a lot of hits.

His attention fell onto a head band that passively increases his concentration and helps focus energy into the brain, heightening his senses.

However the drawback of this head band was no bonus stats with it.

The next item he selects is a training gui that continues to increase it's weight to a max of 2000lbs as the wearer gets used to the weight. It also absorbs energy from the wearer to train mana absorption.

For the last one he didn't want to grab another piece of armor so he set his sights on the item section. Just like the weapon section the item section was separated into type and utility.

Raven suggested he should grab a storage item, so he headed toward that section. 

He walked through the pendant/ amulet section, however he couldn't find anything. He went through the bag, bracelet, and crown sections, yet the same thing occurred.

He couldn't find anything until he came across a ring. 

It was a simple gold ring with a thin black line running through the middle.

Its name was more intriguing, being named simple ring, However what caught Ray's attention was the ring had two abilities besides storage.

Ray wondered what what repairable meant, so he tried to ask Arthur to quickly remember he couldn't.

He chose the next best plan, which is to ask the King. It would also kill two birds with one stone since he needed to get his technique book.

So he quickly called out to the King.
