Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 391: ### Chapter 391: Minato Namikaze

Namikaze Minato did not actively participate in the battle because Sarutobi Hiruzen had entrusted him with an important mission before the conflict began.

"Minato," Hiruzen had said, "you and Kushina must keep an eye on Uchiha Madara. If he makes any move against Konoha, you must act immediately."

Madara's peculiar behavior during the battle only made this task more crucial. Despite their desire to intervene, Minato and Kushina were forcibly held back by Hiruzen's orders.

Even during the battle between Hiruzen and Danzo, Minato had faith that Hiruzen's superior skills would prevail—until Danzo's hidden Sharingan and Izanagi turned the tide.

### The Burden of Leadership

"Minato, this wasn't your fault," Kushina said gently as she approached him. Her presence was a calming anchor amidst the chaos. "Now isn't the time to mourn. We need to deal with what's in front of us."

Minato nodded, forcing himself to focus. "You're right. First, we deal with the injured and assess the casualties. Then, we need to address the fallout from Danzo's actions. His betrayal was too severe to ignore."

He hesitated for a moment. "But we must ensure that members of the Shimura clan uninvolved in his schemes aren't punished."

Kushina gave him a small smile. "That's Minato for you—always thinking about fairness." Then, her expression turned serious. "But there's something else you need to see."

---

### The Injured from Other Villages

Minato followed Kushina to the medical team. As they approached, he noticed something unusual among the wounded—ninja from other villages.

"There are Kumogakure, Iwagakure, and even Sunagakure ninja here," Minato said, stunned. "Why are they in our care?"

Kushina explained. "When the battle ended and the other villages began retreating, Madara took action. He forcibly gathered all the injured ninja, regardless of allegiance, and brought them to our medical team."

Minato frowned. "He… took their injured? And the other villages didn't stop him?"

"They didn't dare," Kushina replied. "Ohnoki and the Third Raikage saw what he was doing, but they knew that intervening might mean adding themselves to the injured list. So they stood by and let him take the wounded."

Minato sighed. "This complicates things. We need to decide what to do with them."

### Reiki's Tireless Efforts

As Minato approached the medical team, Reiki's voice rang out.

"Brother Minato, glad you're here! Over there—there are a few more critically injured. Help me move them here. Also, call the sealing team over. Once these foreign ninjas are treated, we'll need to seal their chakra."

Reiki barely paused for breath as he continued, "Oh, and the Konoha ninjas I've treated are ready to help clean up the battlefield. And don't forget—"

"Reiki!" Minato interrupted gently. "Slow down. I'll handle it."

---

### The End of the Battle

By nightfall, the treatment of all injured ninja—both from Konoha and other villages—was complete. Foreign ninja had their chakra sealed for security reasons, and Minato was left with a difficult decision:

What to do with the seventy or eighty ninja from other villages now under Konoha's care?

Return them as a gesture of goodwill? Or use them as leverage to extract resources from their respective villages?

### A Shocking Casualty Report

As the battlefield was cleared, clan leaders began reporting their casualties to Minato.

"Acting Hokage," a Hyuga leader reported, "the Hyuga clan sustained zero casualties."

"Acting Hokage," an Akimichi clan representative said, "zero casualties for us as well."

One by one, the clans reported the same result: **zero casualties.**

Minato's gaze shifted to Reiki, who had collapsed from exhaustion after working tirelessly through the day. His efforts, combined with the potions developed by him and Tsunade, had saved countless lives.

"This is the power of medical ninjas," Minato thought, awe-struck. "Reiki and Tsunade have ensured Konoha's survival in this battle. But this strength will make Konoha a target."

He remembered the fate of the Uzumaki clan, whose unparalleled sealing techniques had made them a threat. Would Konoha suffer a similar fate because of its advancements in medical and support capabilities?

---

### Madara's Decision

As the group prepared to leave, Minato approached Madara.

"Lord Uchiha Madara," Minato began, his tone respectful. "Reiki mentioned that you're considering returning to Konoha as a protector of the village. I support this idea, but you must understand—your presence in the village will come with certain expectations."

Madara smirked. "I know how to handle myself, Acting Hokage." Without waiting for further discussion, he lifted Reiki's unconscious body and slung him over his shoulder.

Minato nodded. "Good. Let's head back to Konoha."

---

### A Shadowy Threat

As the group departed, a figure emerged from the ground.

"Damn it," muttered **Black Zetsu** as he surveyed the battlefield. "Konoha has grown far too powerful. With Madara back and their advancements in medical techniques, they've become a serious obstacle."

Black Zetsu's gaze lingered on Reiki. "That boy… a young genius like him would be far easier to manipulate. If I can turn him, I can destabilize Konoha from within."

With that, Black Zetsu sank back into the ground, his sinister plan beginning to take shape.
