Morax the Geo Archon: Billionaire in the Chat Group

Chapter 32: I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [32]

"Ah~~! Hahaha~!! It's you! So, this is the latest person you've tricked, huh?"

In the dim light, a man with disheveled medium-length hair and a crazed, twisted expression bellowed furiously. He was trapped between spears of stone, unable to move even an inch.

Yet, despite his predicament, he screamed with manic fervor:

"Incredible! I thought my power made me the ultimate enemy of humanity."

"I can erase human kindness, erase my own presence, disrupt the bioelectricity of the human body, and even nullify a superhuman's abilities. But you... you, woman, are far beyond me!"

"Your words, your deceptive performance... now that's the true enemy of humanity!"

Before him, Nana stood silent. Her expression wavered between pain and regret, a storm of emotions swirling within her.

Behind her was a group of superhumans—teenagers, boys and girls alike—watching her with complex, unreadable gazes.

They had already been told about Nana's past and now knew the truth: she wasn't their kind-hearted leader. She was an assassin, someone who had brought destruction upon others—a true enemy of humanity.

"Is this the first person you ruined back on the island? Nakajima Nanao?" Zhongli, standing nearby, lightly gripped the long spear formed from his original body, a weapon he hadn't wielded in ages. With a calm gaze, he looked toward Nana.

"He's in this state largely because of you."

"Open your eyes. You owe it to him to hear his accusations."

Nana hesitated, her lips trembling before she finally raised her eyes and faced the anguished shouts of Nakajima Nanao, the so-called enemy of humanity.

Then, she fell to her knees.

"I'm sorry, Nakajima."

"Sorry? Sorry?!" Nakajima's eyes flashed with a strange mirth, as if he found her words absurdly amusing.

"That's it? Just a sorry?!"

"My father, my life, my family's entire existence... you destroyed all of it! And all you have to say is a simple sorry? Are you pitying me?"

"No, I get it now." His laughter turned sharp and brittle, almost like a sob.

"You're mocking me, aren't you? Mocking how pathetic I look! Mocking how I wanted revenge, how I wanted to become a cold-blooded avenger willing to give up everything—only to be caught so easily, only to die here so pathetically!"

Nana remained kneeling, her voice soft but steady.

"No... I'm sorry. It's all my fault. After this is over, no matter what you want to do to me, I won't resist."

Zhongli stood silently for a while, his expression unchanged.

Finally, he thrust the spear into the ground beside him, crossing one arm over his chest and resting his chin on the other in thought. After a brief moment of contemplation, he spoke.

"She pushed you off the cliff, leaving you clinging to life by a thread. Your anger and resentment toward her are understandable. But what about your father? Your family? How were they ruined?"

"Relationships, whether between events or people, rarely come with inherent trust. If you wish for your grievances to be understood, you must explain them clearly."

"Explain what?" Nakajima began to calm, but the weight of his hatred grew heavier.

"How your father's life was destroyed. How your family's fate was ruined. Can you explain that clearly?"

Zhongli's tone remained even, his words measured and deliberate, unaffected by Nakajima's blazing hatred.

"....."

Nakajima fell silent, glaring at Nana with unrelenting anger.

"It seems you're unwilling to answer," Zhongli remarked, his voice tinged with a hint of sincerity.

"Perhaps this involves something too painful for you to speak of. My apologies."

He turned his attention away from Nakajima, instead addressing the group of superhumans behind him.

"If you are willing, you may accompany Nana and me to a nearby park to rest. My original body—or rather, a portion of it—resides there. It should be able to keep you safe amidst this chaos. At the very least, I believe no weapon on this planet is capable of harming you there."

The young superhumans exchanged uncertain glances, looking between Nakajima, Nana, and Zhongli.

Zhongli made no effort to persuade them further.

"Take your time to decide. I'll handle a few matters outside and return in three minutes to hear your answer."

With that, he casually pulled his spear from the ground and stepped outside.

The scene beyond the building had changed. Unbeknownst to Zhongli, a contingent of heavily armed special forces soldiers had surrounded the area, their movements precise and disciplined.

The soldiers showed no panic at his sudden appearance. The one nearest to him quickly pressed a button on his wrist, and with a snap, a web-like substance shot into the air.

Simultaneously, the soldier shouted:

"Body augmentation: Speed Type, Protocol 7, engage!"

Hearing the command, distant soldiers adjusted their weapon configurations, swapping out standard ammunition for high-energy lasers designed specifically to counter speed-based superhumans.

Those nearby launched dense fiber capture nets from their wrists, deploying them with precision.

"Impressive preparedness," Zhongli remarked, offering genuine praise. "But I'm afraid this won't suffice."

With a flick of his spear, the seemingly indestructible fiber web tore apart effortlessly. In the same motion, Zhongli thrust his spear forward, piercing the soldier's armor and pinning him in place with crisscrossing spears of stone.

He moved with deliberate grace, tapping the ground lightly with his foot. As his spear extended forward, it became a rain of stone lances falling from above. Each soldier in his path was swiftly immobilized, their weapons shattered, their bodies pinned.

The stone rain fell relentlessly, too fast for the eye to follow. Even the battle-hardened special forces found themselves unable to resist.

When the last soldier was subdued, Zhongli returned to his original spot and silently counted in his mind.

"Hmm, three minutes haven't passed yet. No need to rush."

Casually gripping his spear, he walked past the immobilized soldiers, one slow step at a time, and re-entered the building.

Inside, he was greeted by a chorus of voices. Turning the corner, he saw Nana and the group of superhumans standing together.

To his surprise, Nakajima Nanao, who had seemed consumed by madness moments ago, was among them.

"Interesting," Zhongli murmured, a faint smile gracing his lips.
