Morax the Geo Archon: Billionaire in the Chat Group

Chapter 31: I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [31]

The small park had turned into a scene of calamity, resembling the aftermath of a natural disaster.

Furious winds swept through the air, pulling helicopters into their grasp and grinding them into shards of twisted metal. Strangely, the pilots, though ejected from the wreckage, suffered no more than unconsciousness upon hitting the ground.

In mere moments, two entire helicopter squadrons were wiped out, leaving a dozen or so unconscious soldiers in military uniforms scattered across the ground. The most severe injuries amounted to fractured tibias or fibulas.

The aerial battle, though dramatic, ended swiftly. Against Accelerator's abilities, modern weaponry proved laughably ineffectual.

With a casual gust of wind, those marvels of human ingenuity—products of millennia of development—plummeted one by one, rendered as insignificant as children's toys.

As for the weapons carried by the helicopters—whether machine guns, rockets, or even missiles—they never came within 100 meters of Accelerator. His ability redirected their vectors effortlessly, sending those instruments of destruction hurtling off into random directions, as if performing some chaotic Brownian motion.

Compared to the lopsided conflict in the skies, the battle on the ground was far more intense and thrilling.

The first attack came from the chain gun mounted on an armored vehicle.

The 25mm autocannon roared to life, unleashing a barrage of sparks in all directions. With a firing rate of up to 500 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity exceeding three times the speed of sound, it could pierce 25mm of homogeneous steel armor at a distance of 1,000 meters.

Anything struck by this weapon would face obliteration—shattered into unrecognizable fragments.

Yet the actions of the man known as "Puri Puri Prisoner" left every soldier on the battlefield and those monitoring the fight from afar gasping in disbelief.

Those terrifying bullets, capable of rending flesh and bone, left nothing more than faint, white marks on his body—akin to the light scrape of a blunt object against ordinary skin.

These weren't even proper wounds.

"Boys, let's have some fun!"

Puri Puri Prisoner flexed his bronze, muscular physique, gleaming in the onslaught of bullets and cannon fire bouncing off his body with loud thunks.

Boom!

Impatient with the pace of the fight, he stomped the ground with incredible force, launching himself skyward. Moments later, he came crashing down, shattering the earth beneath him and reducing a fully armed armored vehicle to a heap of scrap metal.

Whoosh!

The sound of an anti-tank cannon fired. Puri Puri Prisoner didn't even look; he simply punched the incoming shell with his well-trained fist.

Boom!

The violent explosion engulfed him, flames licking at his body while shrapnel from the armor-piercing round scraped against his skin.

Even so, facing the equivalent of a direct hit from an anti-tank cannon, the only mark left on his body was a shallow scratch.

And even that healed instantly, vanishing without a trace as if it had never existed.

Witnessing this, the soldiers inside the armored vehicle responded in two ways—some continued firing like madmen, while others were overcome with terror.

These were elite forces trained to combat supernatural abilities, yet none had faced anything this overwhelming before.

Meanwhile, in a distant control room, the committee overseeing the battle descended into chaos for the first time.

"Damn it, where did such powerful superhumans come from?!"

Watching the live feed of two individuals casually dismantling helicopters and armored vehicles, the committee members were visibly shaken. These self-proclaimed masterminds erupted into frantic debate.

"Didn't Hegang assure us that everything was under control?"

"What if the entire anti-superhuman battalion is wiped out? Do we have any contingency plans?"

"We still have the Superhuman Response Squad and X-Squad, not to mention Hegang's new toy…"

"Those squads are hardly backup—they're just auxiliary units! Do you really think they can handle these two monsters?"

"What about Hegang's new weapon? Isn't it supposed to neutralize superhumans effortlessly?"

"That might be worth a shot, but I'm skeptical. The guy operating it is unstable, and it's hard to get in touch with him right now."

"Damn it! We should've never allowed superhumans onto the mainland. If this were on an isolated island, we could've just carpet-bombed the place and been done with it!"

"No… actually… that might work."

"Exactly. Even in a city, we can justify it. The nobles at the Imperial Palace would probably find it entertaining. That abandoned superhuman settlement has no real economic value anyway."

"Dramatic, explosive. A superhuman young girl finds unimaginable support, loses her mentor, and is reborn in flames, rebelling against the world."

"Haha, a perfect spectacle! The grand explosion at the end—pure Hollywood. Too bad our heroine will end up a pile of ashes."

"There's an airbase less than 100 kilometers from the superhuman settlement."

"Then let's have them prepare."

"Hahahaha…"

Far removed from their scheming, Zhongli sat at a stone table, quietly contemplating. His hand rested on a small pebble he had just broken off, as he attuned himself to the historical threads of this world.

On Teyvat, it had taken him centuries of farming and meditation to cross this threshold, stepping outside the timeline and historical records of the world.

This was the first time he wielded such power in another world.

Caution was paramount.

What he had told Nana earlier was not a lie—he had indeed gained part of the price for their contract.

As a nexus of causality in this world, Nana's pact with him allowed him to anchor a single point in this timeline. Around this point, he could extend his influence.

He recalled a phrase he'd heard somewhere long ago:

"An archon is but a serpent coiled along the timeline."

Now, having left Teyvat and with his Gnosis no longer functional, he was no longer the Geo Archon, the God of Contracts and Rock.

Here, he was merely a demon god, one named Morax.

Extending his essence, he began to slither along the timeline of this world, reaching both upstream and downstream.

He beheld countless histories and records of this planet.

With each passing moment, he absorbed more of its stories.
