Chapter 92: Chapter 92:- Two... two dads?!
The dragon could have left. It was free to go, yet it stayed.
Xu Yuan hadn't noticed anything unusual at first. Not until he accidentally issued a command to the Ender Dragon—and it followed through.
Not only did it understand his command, but it also acted on its own initiative!
"This dragon… it's definitely not ordinary."
Xu Yuan had no idea what this Ender Dragon really was, but one thing was clear—it wasn't simple.
Unfortunately, it couldn't speak, which meant he wouldn't get any answers for now. The only way to uncover its secrets was to tame Null.
Null's unique insight abilities would be the key to understanding the dragon. Once Null was tamed, the truth behind this mysterious creature would surely come to light.

The Ender Dragon, after landing by the sea, immediately started playing with 007. Seeing this, Xu Yuan found a spot to sit down and pulled out the transparent block from his inventory.
He placed it on the fine sand in front of him, studying it carefully. But even after placing it, the block remained unchanged. There were no hints or annotations on its surface.
Frowning, Xu Yuan muttered, "System, what's this transparent block for?"
Unable to figure it out himself, he decided to consult the system.

[No information available...]
The system's response caught him off guard. Even the system didn't know what the block was for.
"Looks like I'll have to figure this out on my own..."

Meanwhile, across a different stretch of ocean, inside Xu Yuan's very first mob farm...
Creepers and skeletons spawned, frantically swimming toward the edges. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't hold on for long. They would eventually tire and get swept into the central pit.
The zombies, however, were a different story. They seemed far more determined.
Instead of resigning themselves to their fate, they fought against the water current, trying to climb toward the strange stone enclosure's edge. They groaned continuously, as though trying to communicate.
"Ugh… Ugh, ugh!!"
"Ugh! Ugh, ugh, ugh!"
Despite their efforts, the current always dragged them back to the pit's center. Over time, countless mobs came and went, swept into the abyss below.
The zombies tried warning the others, advising them not to give up. They groaned about the endless void beneath the pit, from which no creature had ever returned. But even so, death was inevitable.
Unlike zombies, the other mobs had limits. Their bodies grew tired; their strength gave out. One by one, they succumbed.
Watching the unending cycle of life and death, the zombies began to think.
"Ugh… Ugh, ugh… (Does this struggle even mean anything?)"
"Ugh… (Are we doomed to swim against the current forever?)"
"Ugh, ugh… Ugh, ugh, ugh… (I want to see what's outside this stone box!)"
"Ugh, ugh, ugh!… Ugh! (Then let's break this box!)"
At first, they acted purely on instinct, driven by a desire to survive. But witnessing countless lives lost made them question their existence.
Why were they born into this stone prison? They could hear the world outside—the sound of wind, strange animals, and the occasional rain.
What lay beyond the stone walls?
Was their sole purpose to endlessly swim against the current?
Unwilling to accept this fate, the zombies reached a collective decision. They would break free.
Fighting the current, they pushed toward the stone edges and struck the walls with their fists. Over and over, they repeated the motion, undeterred by exhaustion or pain.

Somewhere in a peaceful plain within the game world...
A small, quiet village thrived. The villagers went about their simple lives—tending crops, chatting idly, or simply daydreaming. Despite the village's small population, it was meticulously maintained.
Inside one of the houses, two villagers stood close together, their eyes locked. Little pink hearts floated above their heads.
"Hnnnn…"
"Hnnn, hnnnn…"
Before long, a tiny life was born.
At first glance, the newborn looked like any other villager. But his green robe stood out, marking him as different from the others.
"Ma...?"
"Dad? Dad?"
"Two... two dads?!"
Unlike the other villagers, who could only grunt to communicate, this child seemed capable of understanding and thinking.
While the rest of the villagers lived blissfully without a care, he couldn't stop pondering.
Why did he have no mother? Why two dads?
It felt as though he'd been born with a purpose, a destiny to fulfill.

Shortly after the game servers opened, players sprang into action.
Most players followed two main paths. Some roamed the world, searching for villages. Others dove straight into the End.
The official guides had made it clear how vital villagers and Ender Pearls were. These resources became the center of fierce competition.
The faster guilds had already reached the End. The game contained numerous End Portals, each leading to a different End Island. While every portal connected to the End, each island was unique.
By right, every End Island should host an Ender Dragon. Yet players found none.
Without an Ender Dragon, the End's mechanics had changed. Traditionally, defeating the dragon would open a portal back to the Overworld. But now, the portals generated on both sides worked like Nether Portals, linking the two realms.
Most players didn't dwell on the changes. They were more focused on gathering Ender Pearls by hunting Endermen.
———
On one End Island, a group of players stood in a water pool, hacking away at Endermen. They belonged to Nirvana Guild, led by their guildmaster, Steve.
Since the incident with the Triumph Guild, Steve had rejoined his friends, who had successfully expanded the guild.
Thanks to being among the first to discover the grindstone trick, Nirvana Guild had grown quickly. Under Steve's leadership, they thrived.
Even as the game updates rolled out, Steve remained cautious about HIM. The developers claimed to have removed HIM, but Steve wasn't so sure.
Regardless, the updates were a boon for players. With more freedom and new mechanics, everyone could grow stronger faster.
While aware of the importance of villagers and Ender Pearls, Steve didn't pour all his resources into those pursuits.
He had bigger plans.
