Chapter Seventy-Two:

Downtown

I thoroughly search for a gift that I will give to Haimon and because I am at downtown, I became Liraz for this day so that I could freely search around.

"My Lady." Wei called out on me.

"Yes?"

"What are you looking for?" she asked since that we've been looking all over the place but still, I couldn't find anything that will appease me.

"Well," I shrug. "The truth I still don't know. I can't really think of anything to give him as a gift because he already has almost everything. How about you, do you have anything to suggest?"

"I can only suggest that why don't you give him something personalize?"

"Personalize?"

"Indeed. Something that you create, like a scarf or something he can wear, what do you think about that my Lady?" she suggested.

"Uhm, I think that will be great! Thanks for the suggestion, Wei."

"My pleasure, my Lady."

Meanwhile…

As I go around at downtown, I finally scent Liraz around.

"Finally, she came out." I suddenly said out loud that Maury questioned me.

"Who are you talking about?"

"Liraz." I spoke. "She's here somewhere around."

"How did you know?"

"Her scent. I smell her, so come on let's meet her."

"Yes, my Prince."

Crochet Store

I was silently looking for yards that I will use to do some shirt or maybe a scarf if I failed to create a shirt. So, I really hope I can do something with it.

"So, you were really here." Suddenly someone spoke up to me and when I turned around, I am surprised seeing him.

"Kanik? Wh-what are you doing here?"

"I was looking for you."

"Why?"

"To ask you, why you quit your job?"

"Do I need to answer that?"

"Well, it is up to you." He said and shrugs off. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"Can't you see? I'm buying some yards."

"I see, but I mean what will you do with that?"

I sigh. "Do I really need to explain everything that I am doing? Because as far as I remember we are not friends so I have the right not to answer you. So, please excuse me, I have to go." I said and stormed out away from him as soon as I can. Yet to my surprised after I paid what I bought and went out of the store, he suddenly came out to follow.

"I really can't believe what I found out about you." He suddenly stated that made me to turn around.

"What are you talking about?"

"Well, are you curious of what did I find out?"

I look at him intently before I gave up a sigh. "Whatever it is, I don't care." I said and turned my back on him and was about to leave when he suddenly speaks up.

"Siara Meinir." He seriously said that made me stop.

What did he just say? Did he just call me by my real name? I silently asked myself and try to calm down myself before I turned around and look at him.

"What did you want?"

Kanik meaningfully smiles at me. "You know what I want from you though, this won't be easy. Because you are engaged with my brother, we will have a problem when he finds out that the Princess promised for him to be his wife is the woman I also wanted to have. So, I have a suggestion for you since this is the best way for us to be together."

"Not interested." I turned my back at him.

"Then, would you rather have me disclose to everyone that you are the only child of King Harkan? The Princess that my brother badly wanted to meet ever since the Elders made the agreement."

"Yes, with my pleasure!" I honestly answered as I turned in to him for the last time. "Tell everyone who I really am, please Prince Kanik. Because for a long time my father hid me for a reason I do not know, I welcome with all my heart the revelation you will make. Just reveal that info to everyone, my true identity and I will be please if you do that as soon as possible. Alright?" I stated a fact because that is what I truly want from the very beginning but because of my stubborn father, he won't let me tell to everyone my true identity. For a reason, I really don't know and I am badly wanted to know.

Kanik's surprised face tells it all no wonder he couldn't speak for a couple of minutes. "That's…" he swallowed and deeply sighed. "Unexpected." He added.

"Well, if you have nothing more to say? Maybe I'll be free to leave, right?" he didn't answer and I just accepted it as a yes.

"Does Duke Haimon know this? Or maybe he knows you as 'Liraz'?" he seriously asked.

"It doesn't concern you." I pointed it clearly and just left him as soon as possible.

Afterwards…

"My Lady," Wei worriedly followed me.

"I know what you are going to say but I don't have a choice. I need to inform father about what happened. Before things get complicated, so let's hurry back at the palace."

Reinhardt's Residence

I still can't believe Siara's answer to me. The looks from her face were so serious, you cannot mistake her for a lie because the words she uttered are so true. She really is telling the truth that made my mind puzzle.

"What do you plan to do Prince Kanik?" Maury asked. "Do you want to make an announcement about the King's daughter?"

"No." I immediately answered him.

"Why?"

"Because of the words that she just said…"

"What are you trying to point out, my Prince?"

"What was the real reason why the King has to hide his only daughter from the public?" I curiously asked. "And all of a sudden, she was engaged with my brother even though she had never been seen or even introduced to the public. Now I badly need to learn why."
