Mi Marido Misterioso (My Mysterious Husband)

Chapter 73: I Tell my Father What Kanik Learned about Me

Chapter Seventy-Three:

Meinir's Residence

Quick steps can be heard in the stillness of the night throughout the households. As the sounds turned left the person owned the sound immediately opened the door.

"What's the news?" the man inside the room immediately asked since he was waiting for so long till he finally received the message he wanted to hear.

"She was about to give birth." The messenger finally brought the news he badly wanted to hear.

He stands up from where he was sitting. "Thank you. You may go now."

"Yes, my Duke." The messenger answered before leaving him alone.

As he was alone, he approached the window and look up into the stormy sky. 'I still can't believe that the one destined to save the souls of the Manu Clan will came from the very blood of 'the curse one'. And the chosen one was my one and only sister, she eventually blessed to give birth in a normal way though I knew there would be a sacrifice for her normal pregnancy. It was her life.' He silently told himself as he watches the thunder strikes down onto ground.

'And knowing she finally gave birth, her life only ended. And I don't know how her husband will accept that.' He added to himself.

Present…

Reinhardt's Residence

"Wafi!" I quickly came closer to him once I saw him coming. "Come! Let's talk!" I quickly said and just grab his hand away from the outside and went straight to my room.

"Whoa! Why in a hurry?" he surprisingly asked.

"I want to know if there is something that we can use to find out the secret that was hidden for so long."

"What are you trying to say?"

"I mean. A secret that has long been hidden and almost forgotten by all, that kind of secrets," I elaborated.

"And what secret are you trying to find out?"

"It is about Lir—no. It is all about Siara, I wanted to find out what was the truth of hiding her to the public? Why did the King needed to keep her for so long that even my brother doesn't even meet or see her? Why? What is their secret? And that is what I wanted to find out. I badly wanted to find out." I seriously stated.

Deep into the Mountains

"And what are you still doing here, Siara?" Melite asked me after I told her what happened between me and Kanik.

"Taking my time to take some courage… I guest." I answered and shrugged even though the truth I just wanted to hide away from the reality. What if Kanik already made his threat and announces about the truth of me? What could happen to me and my father?

Maybe my father is angry now because I agreed with what Kanik said and that's what keeps me from going home. I just couldn't go home just like that.

"Did you know that all your questions will not be answered if you stay here, so please? Go home now!" she forced me to stand up.

"I've only been here one day. So, there is--"

"Stop!" she cuts me off. "Just go home now and go talk to your father."

I take a very, very deep breath. "Alright," I finally surrendered. "I'll go home now." I stand up and was about to leave when she stops me. "What?"

"You also need to talk to Haimon about it, alright?"

I took another very deep, deep breath before I answered. "I really don't have a choice, right?"

"Indeed."

Manu Palace

I took a few deep breaths before I knocked on my father's door. After three knocks he answered me and with all my courage I hold the doorknob and open it.

"Siara? What are you doing here?"

"Father… I need to tell you something important." I said as soon as I get closer to him.

And looking at me he saw and read that it is something serious so he stops what he was doing. "Tell me, what is it?"

"Uhm, Kanik already knows about me."

"What do you mean?"

"About me pretending to be 'Liraz'," I replied. "He already knows who I really am," I added and it seems Kanik doesn't make any move to announce what he had learned because of what I saw from my father's reaction.

He doesn't know a thing but why? Why hasn't he made an announcement yet? What is he planning? I was even more afraid to think of the silence he made.

"Are you sure about that?"

My father asked that breaks the silence. "Ye-yes. We have already talked."

I saw the change in my father's appearance and I was sure the anger was reflected there.

"Never leave the palace no matter what happens." He said in an authoritative tone.

"But--"

"No buts!" he cuts me off in a loud tone.

"How about Haimon?" I quickly answered.

"I'll talk to him. For now, it's more important that you don't leave this palace, do you understand?" I stayed quiet. "Siara! Do you understand?"

"Ye-yes…" I said as I bowed my head in silence.

The next day…

As what my father told me to do, I stay at the palace not even able to meet Haimon and I already forgot about our meeting yesterday because of the events happened earlier yesterday. That makes me want to go out of the palace but I knew my father already sent some soldiers around my room and all over the palace. He even casted a spell around with the help of his Witches and Warlocks and I cannot just pass through those barriers so easily.

"Lady?" Wei suddenly breaks my deep thoughts.

"Oh, God!" I quickly hold her hands. "Please help me, Wei!"

"What? No, my Lady!"

"No. I won't ask you to help me escape." I quickly explained.

Wei blinks her eyes before she takes a deep breath and answered. "Alright, what can I do for you, my Lady?"

"Help me to give my letter to Haimon. That's all I wanted."
