Chapter 87: Chapter 87: The Mission on the Ship

The terrorists struggled desperately to free their fingers from the triggers of their rifles. No matter how much they squirmed, their fingers remained firmly frozen in place.

The frostbite-like numbness in their fingers wasn't just discomfort—it was a sign that their fingers were now entirely useless.

"Tsk, tsk. Stop struggling. This isn't like licking an icicle in winter. Aren't you all supposed to be fearless outlaws? You've got knives strapped to your thighs—why not just cut off your fingers?"

Han Yu casually perched on a clean table, smiling as though he were attending a neighborly tea party instead of standing aboard a ship hijacked by terrorists.

One terrorist, still armed with a pistol, reached for his backup gun with his other hand—only to let out a blood-curdling scream as soon as he touched it.

A severed hand hit the floor. It belonged to the unfortunate man who had just tried to draw his weapon.

"I don't like it when people try sneaky moves," Han Yu said, clicking his tongue and shaking his head with mock sympathy, as though the severed hand had nothing to do with him.

The terrorists had no idea how or when Han Yu had struck. His attacks were beyond the capabilities of an ordinary fighter—they were the work of a superhuman.

Realizing this, the terrorists in the kitchen abandoned all resistance. The disparity in power was insurmountable. Every move they made was under Han Yu's watchful gaze.

Any attempt at trickery ended the same way—with Han Yu severing the offending hand. After witnessing this two or three times, none dared to make another move. His ghost-like precision left them utterly hopeless.

When Natasha and her team landed on the deck, they arrived just in time to wrap things up. Han Yu and Captain America had already dealt with all the enemies.

"Captain, that was incredible! How did you pull that off? So, this is Han Yu. Seeing him in action is even more impressive than the stories. How did Director Fury even manage to recruit someone like him into S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

A bespectacled, bald man rushed up, speaking in a flurry of words. His appearance made Captain America's eyes narrow slightly—this was Jasper, Han Yu's target for the mission.

Jasper knew of Han Yu through the Sokovia incident, being a high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. official privy to such information.

Captain America didn't answer Jasper's questions. Instead, he spoke through the comms to Rumlow aboard the Quinjet: "Take the hostages back first. We'll escort the officials ourselves."

Rumlow was silent for a moment. Captain America's tone was steady, as always, so Rumlow saw no issue and replied, "Roger that, Captain."

As the Quinjet flew off, Captain America was about to confront Jasper about Hydra. However, Han Yu caught his arm, subtly shook his head, and gestured toward the departing Quinjet.

Captain America immediately understood. Han Yu was wary of Rumlow's potential to monitor their conversation. Discussing Hydra now could alert their enemies.

"Let's tidy things up. There's a helicopter on the ship the enemy used to board. We'll use it to leave," Han Yu said, stretching casually.

"No problem. Let's go now," Captain America replied smoothly, picking up on Han Yu's fabricated topic to dispel any suspicion Rumlow might have if he was still listening. The two headed toward the ship's interior, flanking Jasper.

Natasha, slightly puzzled, observed them from behind. She hadn't received any orders from Nick Fury to act independently. Jasper, meanwhile, was clueless about what was unfolding and assumed this was standard S.H.I.E.L.D. procedure, hurrying to follow them.

Inside, Han Yu spent a few minutes chatting idly with Captain America, all while tinkering with some machinery.

Jasper couldn't make sense of what they were doing. Their focused demeanor made him believe they were genuinely preparing for departure.

To Natasha, however, the duo looked like they were pretending to DJ, fiddling with control panels and keyboards as though spinning records. Although she didn't understand their antics, she chose to trust them and stayed silent.

She knew there must be a reason why they weren't telling her anything yet—something they couldn't reveal at this moment. They were stalling for time.

"Could it be they're waiting for Rumlow and his team to leave?"

Natasha's sharp instincts kicked in. After decades as a spy and undercover operative, she understood the subtleties of such situations—like needing to leave the enemy's listening range.

Meanwhile, aboard the Quinjet, Rumlow sat listening to the casual banter between Han Yu and Captain America through the eavesdropping device. Convinced it was all part of their mission, he dialed a number.

"The mission is complete. Jasper has been rescued. Yes, yes, Rogers is personally escorting him back. We'll be there shortly."

After ending the call, Rumlow let out a sinister chuckle and muttered, "Rogers, oh Rogers, savor what little time you have left."

As the Quinjet flew further away, a green eye briefly appeared in midair, watching its departure. It blinked a few times before dissipating into wisps of smoke, vanishing into the sky.

Back aboard the Lemurian Star, Jasper began sensing something wasn't right. Stepping forward, he asked, "Are you really preparing to leave? It doesn't seem like it."

Captain America glanced at Han Yu, as if seeking confirmation. Han Yu gave him a slight nod.

The next moment, Han Yu delivered a fierce kick to Jasper's chest, sending him flying into the wall.

The iron-plated wall dented noticeably from the impact. Blood poured from Jasper's mouth as he coughed violently, staining the floor in bright red.

Even Captain America hadn't expected such a move from Han Yu. He looked at him in surprise, but Han Yu offered no explanation, simply nodding toward him. Captain America immediately understood and stepped forward, grabbing Jasper by the collar.

"Tell me! Why did you board this ship? What's on it?" he roared.

Jasper coughed several times before responding, "I don't understand what you're saying. I boarded this ship under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s orders!"

As he spoke, Han Yu casually seated himself on a nearby table, crossing his legs. With a calm tone, he remarked, "He's trying to find out about the Zola Algorithm."

Zola Algorithm!

At the mention of these words, Jasper's eyes widened in shock. How did Han Yu know about this? It was supposed to be a tightly guarded secret, known only to a handful of Hydra's top leaders. There was no way it could have leaked.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Zola Algorithm? Never heard of it," Jasper said, his voice trembling despite his attempt to sound defiant.
