Marvel: Beginning with the Collection of Shinra Tensei

Chapter 82: Chapter 82: A Visit

Some players even started posting offers in the world chat, promising hefty rewards if Joker agreed to join their team. They claimed he could take at least 50% of the total profit from every mission, which was an incredibly tempting deal in a four-person task. Typically, apart from the leader, most players only got around 20% of the cut—sometimes even less.

Having such an outstanding driver could save at least half the time required for missions. That was why Han Yu's bounty was the highest among the four of them. While having a good car was important, without a skilled driver, you'd end up like the group chasing them—spinning out of control at every corner.

The trio played through the night, pulling an all-nighter. The next morning, Han Yu's phone rang while he was still gaming. His hands were occupied, so he answered the call and placed the phone next to his headset, wedging it in place.

"Stark, what's up? Is your AI robot acting up again?"

Given how few people had his number—besides his close companions—it was easy to guess that the caller was Tony Stark.

Hearing Han Yu's words, Ultron instinctively glanced in his direction.

"No, no issues this time," Stark replied. "I just wanted to ask if I could bring someone over to your shop. Are you available?"

Stark's tone sounded relaxed, suggesting that Vision's development had gone smoothly, leaving him in a good mood.

"Sure," Han Yu responded. "But let me remind you—my goods aren't available to just anyone."

"Understood. I'll bring them over now."

With that, Stark hung up.

"Let's finish this mission quickly. I've got business to attend to," Han Yu said.

"Need our help?" Ultron asked.

"No need. You guys keep playing and stay on standby. I'll handle it," Han Yu replied.

The trio nodded. They understood the importance of business and quickly focused on wrapping up their game. Mixing personal matters with work was out of the question. They knew better than to pester Han Yu to keep gaming with them—losing his favor would mean missing out on all the fun they were having.

Five minutes after finishing their mission, the familiar sound of wind chimes echoed from downstairs. The chimes were soft, indicating the arrival of someone whose strength wasn't particularly noteworthy, but it also signaled that the visitor wasn't an ordinary person.

"Alright, I'm heading down."

Han Yu logged off from his gaming setup and made his way down from his small apartment.

A black sedan pulled up in front of the general store. Out stepped three men in casual clothing—Captain America, Tony Stark, and Nick Fury from S.H.I.E.L.D.

"So, this is the 'Youjian General Store'? It's even more... minimalistic than I imagined," Nick Fury commented as he surveyed the shop with his one eye.

The store's exterior was simple, just an ordinary single-room storefront. Above the entrance hung a signboard that read: Youjian General Store. The only other decoration was a small wind chime dangling from the right side of the sign. Fury couldn't imagine that a place so modest on the outside could house items capable of destroying entire planets—or even galaxies.

"Don't let your guard down, Fury. This isn't a joke," Captain America reminded him.

"I know that. I'm just making an observation," Fury replied.

"Alright, gentlemen," Stark interjected. "I brought you here, so mind your manners. Don't act like that idiot Thor and provoke the owner, or this deal will definitely fall through."

Stark was well aware of Han Yu's capabilities, having seen him casually wield Thor's Mjolnir—a feat none of them could manage. While Stark had purchased items from Han Yu before, he wouldn't go so far as to claim any close relationship with him. In fact, their last gathering hadn't exactly ended on a good note.

"We understand," Fury said.

"Then why are you tagging along? I only agreed to bring Steve. What are you doing here?" Stark asked irritably.

"Of course I had to come. If you get your hands on some strange new gadget, I need to know about it beforehand to prepare for any potential problems. Better safe than sorry," Fury replied.

"Whatever."

Stark rolled his eyes and pushed the door open, Captain America following closely behind. Fury quickly trailed them into the store.

Inside, they saw Han Yu with his back to them, organizing items on a shelf. Without even turning around, Han Yu chuckled and said, "Mr. Fury, Mr. Rogers, welcome to my store. What can I do for you today?"

Even though Captain America and the others were already aware of Han Yu's extraordinary abilities, they couldn't help but marvel inwardly at his knowledge of their arrival. He really is a godlike figure, they thought.

"Steve has an upcoming mission," Fury said. "We'd like to upgrade his gear. Can you handle that?"

"Be more confident—drop the 'can you.' Anything you want, I've got it," Han Yu replied with a faint smile.

Captain America nodded, heading back to the car to retrieve a large, round black bag. Placing it in front of Han Yu, he opened it to reveal the iconic vibranium shield that had been his steadfast companion for years.

For a Marvel movie fan like Han Yu, seeing this shield up close felt meaningful. In his past life, he'd even owned a 1:1 replica of Captain America's shield, which he had saved up for months to purchase.

"What kind of enhancement are you looking for?" Han Yu asked, rhythmically tapping the shield with his fingers.

"Is there a choice? If possible, I'd like it to be enhanced for recall. Stark added a magnetic attachment for me, but it has range limitations. I'd like it to work like Thor's hammer—able to return to me no matter how far away it is," Captain America explained.

The issue had long stumped Stark. While adding propulsion and sensors to the shield could technically achieve a long-range recall, it would increase the shield's weight and alter its handling, making it less portable.

The vibranium shield's unique qualities—its ability to absorb physical impact and its weight being only a third of steel—were what allowed Captain America to perform effortless throws and returns. Altering its design would sacrifice these advantages, making it an impractical trade-off.

That's why they sought out Han Yu. If any place could resolve this dilemma, it would be this mysterious general store.

Han Yu lowered his head slightly, stroking his chin as he considered the possibilities. His mind was already racing, trying to identify something compatible with the shield.

Seeing him deep in thought rather than outright refusing, Captain America and the others exchanged glances, each seeing the same surprise in the others' eyes. Could he really have a solution?
