JoJo's bizarre adventure: Phantom legacy

Chapter 4: Ethereal Divergence is being..... Bizarre.

Ring Ring Ring!!!

"Urgghh what now, it's the goddam weekend" Ethan slowly murmured as he woke up and picked up his phone from the sideboard and as he switched it on he noticed countless notifications.

Ethan scrolled lazily through his messages, barely paying attention to the endless stream of texts from girls at Starlight Academy.

Most were the usual flirty nonsense he'd grown used to.

But one message caught his eye, standing out from the rest it was from his best friend, Tony.

Before he could open it, a sharp thought crossed his mind. "What the hell is that smell?"

Ethan froze, his thumb still hovering above the screen.

The air around him was... different sweet, fresh almost intoxicating, He sniffed again more deliberately this time, his senses sharpening as he took in the unfamiliar aroma.

Slowly, his eyes darted around the room, searching for the source.

And then he saw it, that's when it all started to make sense.

Four glowing doors were floating in midair.

Each door displayed a different part of his house: the kitchen, dining room, hallway, and bedroom.

Ethan's gaze moved from one door to the next.

The kitchen was immaculate, the counters clean, the floor shining.

The smell of food, fresh and comforting, wafted from the kitchen, even a traditional full English breakfast was laid out on the countertop.

His eyes then drifted to his bedroom door.

The room, usually a mess was spotless, the bed was changed, and the floor was clear of clutter.

Everything was freshly cleaned, the air smelling crisp.

Ethan also noticed, through the door that his laundry had been done, his clothes were neatly folded and stacked with care.

But there was something that didn't add up.

Ethan's Stand, Ethereal Divergence, had a 10-meter range.

The kitchen and the laundry were far beyond that distance and yet, here they were perfectly displayed in front of him.

It clicked, using GateKeeper it wasn't just opening doors to these places it was manipulating its range.

The distance between Ethan and those places had been shortened, allowing the Stand to bypass its range limitations.

It wasn't moving the spaces themselves it was simply making them closer, using the power of GateKeeper to shrink the gap between them.

Ethan's mind raced, His Stand wasn't just using the portals in the way he had thought It was bending the rules, it was not just illogical it was... bizarre.

For the first time, he understood his Stand was quasi-sentient...It had done this on its own.

"It's.... alive" mumbled Ethan as he looked at Ethereal Divergence with awe, although he had accepted the idea of stands it still felt foreign.

"VRA-DA" Ethereal Divergence Roared as it emerged from one of the doors bringing Ethan food.

Ethan slowly looked at the food and began to eat, he felt an odd sensation from his taste buds and a single tear dropped from his face.

"This.."

The food was not only good but Ethereal Divergence made it the same way as his mother used to make it, this alone elevated his spirit and made him understand one thing.

His connection to Ethereal Divergence was deeper than he thought due to how it understood him.

Ethan handed the empty plates to Ethereal Divergence and muttered, "Thanks."

The Stand took the dishes without a sound and disappeared through one of its glowing doors, leaving Ethan alone with his thoughts.

After a while, Ethan shook himself out of his daze, got up, and made his bed.

Once satisfied, he headed to the bathroom to begin his daily hygiene routine.

He stepped into the shower, letting the warm water cascade over him, ten minutes later, he emerged, refreshed and ready to continue.

At the sink, he brushed his teeth, flossed, scraped his tongue, and finished with mouthwash.

"What the hell... is this normal" Ethan muttered as he noticed his reflection.

His black hair had faint tints of silver and blonde, and his Amber eyes carried subtle streaks of red and gold.

These changes were barely noticeable, but for someone truly up close, they would appear bizarre.

Ethan didn't know if there would be more changes, but he simply ignored them, knowing full well the reason was his Stand.

'Weird'

Ethan soon exited the bathroom approached his wardrobe and chose clothes that were casual, simple and comfortable.

He then approached his PC monitor set it up logged in and began to access his programs.

Ethan paused for a brief moment, his gaze searching for Ethereal Divergence.

He found it lounging in the living room, casually playing video games a habit it had clearly inherited from him.

While the sight was slightly bewildering, Ethan shrugged it off, convincing himself that it was just another quirk of his Stand.

He began to use the information he got from John Doe to access the iCloud and different sources for anything related to John Doe and the Sky gang and hours passed as he began to do his research while creating notes for important details.

"These people... these things are monsters," Ethan murmured, his voice heavy with disgust as he finished his research.

Human trafficking, drug trafficking, organ harvesting, arms dealing, corruption of government officials, child soldiers these were the inhumane acts done by the Sky Gang.

The Sky Gang had several branches and warehouses.

Ethan had acquired some of their locations and structures, but he knew the information was limited distilled for people like John Doe, mere foot soldiers.

"Well, John Doe and his friends are dead. Even the police are in their pockets, so it makes no difference," Ethan sighed as he switched off his monitor.

He approached his closet and took out the Steiner LRF 1700 8×30 binoculars, a gift from his father.

Summoning Ethereal Divergence, he used GateKeeper to open a door leading to the roof of his villa.

Ethan stepped out, the cool evening air brushing against his face.

Looking up at the fading light of the sky, he muttered, "A pinkie is lowly ranked in the sky Gang and the property manager probably knew that.... something is fishy here"

He raised the binoculars, scanning the property manager's villa.

The advanced optics brought every detail into focus surveillance cameras, guards, and other crucial elements.

The sun began to set, but Ethan barely noticed as he continued to scout the place.

Ethan looked at Ethereal Divergence and said:

"This is not it, it seems like the property manager is not home...we are going to

' break in ' and look for more clues but first I need a disguise"
