JoJo's bizarre adventure: Phantom legacy

Chapter 3: Subjugation command

"This Brat is really rich huh, who buys 77$ pure ghee for daily use...well it's mine now"

The burglar in the kitchen continued to bless himself with Ethans food without a care in the world.

Ethan's Stand appeared from above and landed behind him.

It used its hand to close the burglar's mouth to prevent him from making noise and pressed him down, it used Gatekeeper to open another door closer to the burglar, where Ethan slowly emerged.

Since they were behind the countertop, they were well hidden.

Ethan looked at his stand and said:

"Do it Make him silent and only tell the truth, use Subjugation command"

Subjugation command was his stand's second ability.

By touching a target, the Stand can infiltrate their mind, overriding their will and implanting commands.

These commands can remain dormant until triggered, making the ability ideal for long-term manipulation.

However, the Stand user's willpower must exceed the targets for this ability to succeed.

Immediately his stand touched the burglar's hand and after a few seconds it roared indicating that it succeeded.

"What is your name and what color is your shirt"

"My name is John Doe and I am wearing a white shirt" Quickly replied the Burglar causing Ethan to nod in satisfaction, he continued and said;

"Raise your arm"

John Doe simply complied and raised his arm allowing Ethan to confirm control and compliance.

Ethan looked at John Doe for a brief moment and said:

"How many of you are here and who are you"

The spark in John's eyes vanished as he heard Ethan's questions and said:

"There are four of us and I am John Doe the left pinkie of the sky Gang"

"A gang???"Ethan almost shouted as he exclaimed but he calmed down and said:

"Elaborate, and tell me how you got it into my house"

"The property manager hired us and gave us access codes for the house and in exchange for keeping everything we stole and covering our tracks she wanted a specific file"

Ethan remained silent for a split second and asked:

"What kind of file did she want"

"I don't know but she said it has a noticeable caption and logo called the Speedwagon Foundation"

Ethan continued to ask more questions but seeing that John Doe couldn't answer more his stand knocked him out.

Ethan looked at his stand and said:

"Everything needs a name to have a form identity... let's call you Ethereal Divergence"

"VRA-DA!"Roared Ethereal Divergence as it made a simple gesture, opening small doors that revealed the other burglar's positions and looked at Ethan, waiting for an answer.

"Go" Ethan replied quickly, prompting Ethereal Divergence to approach each invader using Gatekeeper.

"WHAT THE HELL HOW CAN WOODEN SPOON FLOAT LIKE THIS, STOP HITTING ME I AM SORRY"

Ethan sighed with relief as he heard the screams of the robbers; his stand wasn't just knocking them out. It was also giving them psychological damage in the process, which pleased him a little.

'What the hell is the Speedwagon Foundation... This is too complicated '

....

"Urgghh what happened the last thing I remember is a ghost attacking me"

"THIS HOUSE IS HAUNTED!!!"

The burglars woke up one by one alarming Ethan who was silently eating ice cream on the couch, seeing the commotion he simply said:

"Shut up and obey"

The burglars immediately stopped talking and looked at Ethan with shocked expressions, although they wanted to talk they simply couldn't and this made them so afraid that one of them pissed their pants

Ethan looked at them with a gaze of disgust and said:

"As I thought you guys are nothing but disposable pawns, what did she truly promise you that made you take such a risk"

The invaders repeated everything he heard before but one of them said:

"She said if I find the file she's going to kill the whole gang and run away with me so we could settle down"

John Doe and his fellow brothers-in-crime looked at him with shocked expressions; they had been best friends from a young age, so such betrayal broke their hearts since he was the one who suggested the job.

"you're looking for the file, but you don't know its exact location..is what you're implying, You guys are useless," Ethan sighed, tossing a notepad and pen toward the invaders.

"Write everything you know down, including your bank account details, iCloud details, home addresses, ID numbers everything that might help me, even if it seems insignificant."

The burglars quickly wrote everything down and after a few minutes they gave Ethan the notepad while kneeling down in fear.

Ethan looked at them and said, "Here's what's gonna happen: you're going to leave my place, not talk about what happened or what you've seen, and you will go to the police station to report every crime you've committed while providing evidence."

He paused for a moment, thinking, before continuing, "After being released from prison, you will dedicate your lives to being monks for the betterment of the world."

Ethereal Divergence made a simple gesture, immediately opening a door that led outside to Ethan's driveway.

Although Ethan noticed their delivery truck was well-hidden by the heavy rain, he didn't care.

He ordered Ethereal Divergence to toss them out, and the Stand complied, sending the invaders through the door before promptly closing it.

"Now what..."

Ethan sat in silence for a few minutes before standing up and asking Ethereal Divergence to open a door leading to a graveyard.

He stepped through the door and continued walking, the countless tombstones lining the path catching his eye.

He didn't mind the heavy rain; Ethereal Divergence shielded him effortlessly from the downpour.

"It's been years since I've been here," Ethan murmured as he approached a massive mausoleum.

Once he reached it, he stopped and stood still, the weight of the moment settling over him.

Bowing his head, he said softly, "Mom... Dad, it's been a while. I haven't seen you in years, and I'm sorry for that."

He began to talk, recounting everything in his life his best friend, his grades, meeting Rosalina, and gaining his Stand.

He knew his words would fall on deaf ears, but he smiled as he spoke, feeling closer to his parents than he had in a long time.

"I feel alone and lost since your murder but I've been hanging on, maybe me receiving a stand is a gift from God...you never received justice maybe God gave me power to do so.... I don't know" Ethan sighed as he looked at the mausoleum.

Although he knew he had a third ability, he didn't understand what it was, unlike his other two abilities Gatekeeper and Subjugation Command.

He suspected that they might have stemmed from his deep desire to be there for his parents before they died and his yearning to uncover the truth that had been so carefully hidden, denying them the justice they deserved.

He didn't fully comprehend it, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it was connected to his unresolved past.

"HEYYYY!!! GRAVE ROBBING IS A CRIME YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!!!"

Ethan heard screams and turned around, he noticed countless security guards rushing towards him, although they were far away he understood why.

He simply did a gesture and Ethereal Divergence used Gatekeeper to send him back home causing him to completely disappear from the spot alarming the guards.
