Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 952: Preparations for the ‘festival’

[OP: ]

In the headmaster's office, a few people had gathered as the students enjoyed the first lunch break of their new semester.

"Are you… serious, headmaster?"

The vice headmaster was there, President Zodiac was there, and along with them, a few people covered in masks, one of which was a crow mask, were also present.

They were looking at him with a concerned look… but there was a smile on the headmaster's face.

"Yes, I'm being serious."

He was being serious about having made contact with the Masters once again recently… Though he did not tell the President what had happened in the grand conference, the matter right now is more concerning to him than anything else.

"We have confirmed the existence of divinities among that demonic cult."

He had not told this to everyone else yet, not even to Eon and Rein. However, he was looking forward to telling them about this as soon as he was done with the last bit of his work.

He also had to thank them for all that they did in that conference and congratulate them for the great performance.

"The matters regarding these unknown divinities will be handled by the [Arkblood] so we don't have to worry about them. However, this proves they have a much greater backing than what we had expected at the beginning."

The vice headmaster was not at the conference but she knew everything that happened in that conference.

The headmaster shared his memories with her so she was able to understand what had occurred during those few days the conference had gone on.

And, though proud of her students that presented such an important matter in such a fine way, she could not help but worry about the existence of a curse that had come from a different world.

"As we know, Zodiac is the only one that has seen the full extent of that curse directly."

SanSan wasn't going to be added in any of the equations here since it was still a child. Even if it was a unique creature, they wouldn't burden a child that was also a pinnacle holder.

"Zodiac, I know you don't like it, but can you please show us how that creature looks at its peak?"

The headmaster was looking out of the window all this time until now but as soon as he said that, he looked back at him and requested with a soft look in his eyes.

He was thankful that he had taken care of the things in the academy in his absence, but the matter right now was only solvable with his help.

"It is alright headmaster… I can do it."

He did not like thinking back to that time.

The death of the only being he had cared about more than his own life, the person that took care of her, taught her when he was only wandering the deep woods of a faraway land… he owed her everything he had.

"I'll make sure you don't have to go through the same thing again…"

"You will have to."

His unique powers, this little family member left with him, and the new things that he cherished in this new world were all something he could not help but be attached to.

He had lost everything he once had already, so now that he had the chance to help them prevent something like that from happening in this world, to the things and people he cared about once again, even though it was a painful memory, he did not mind sharing them with these people.

They would know what to do with that information, and since they could do about it in a better way than him, he also did not mind sharing it with them.

"Then…"

He nodded at him, and the President closed his eyes.

-Ooooooooooong!

The headmaster nodded at one of the people present on the other side, and they walked forward.

{ "Apologies…" }

She had a unique voice… but the hand that was then placed on the president's head did not match that sweet voice.

"Ughhh!"

Resembling the hand of some kind of insect Kind, she extracted a portion of the memory that he did not even allow Eon to extract from him.

It was a little more painful than when Eon did it, but he endured it and soon, the pain was gone.

Along with the fragment of the memory that he had tried to forget countless times.

"Hmmm? What…"

He did not understand what had just happened to him.

He remembered allowing them to share the memories, but he did not remember what he had allowed them to share anymore.

{ "We will return it in a bit." }

The masked person with their entire body covered in a unique outfit walked back to the group and all of them looked at the memory fragment that was extracted from him.

It was not the same as what Eon did, but since he was not here at the moment, they did not want to disturb his first lunch with his friends.

{ "Oh my…" }

Even without them, they had individuals who were also an expert when it came to the art of memory magic.

They might have a little different ways than Him, but they were still good at what they did since under the hands of an amateur, the President would have died by now.

{ "Here. You can have it back." }

She returned his memories back to him and right when she did, the President suddenly fell down unconscious.

"Do you understand now?"

It wasn't a simple thing at all.

This entire situation, the curse, and that person, especially the situation in Kaksha… it was all a mess and there was a bigger mess on its why now that the core of that curse had suddenly vanished.

"We will have to deal with the cultists on the island first if we want to prove our stance."

Things were complicated at the moment.

The people that were present here right were all the organisers that had helped him with the various tasks to organise this Grand conference.

They were the only people that needed to know about the situation with the temple and the temple gods, the other things would be taken care of by the rest of the people affiliated with them.

"The Masters aren't going to side with the Temple gods, same with the Guardians.

There might be some internal conflict within them, however, we do not know what they are going to do."

The headmaster sat down on his seat with a simple smile present on his face.

"The cultists are not going to move if we pinpoint them and eradicate them from this island before they even have the time to comprehend what our intentions are."

And the rest of them looked at one another to take their final opinions.

"In simplest terms, the festival we are preparing will be what They wanted and at the same time, what they were not expecting."

Eon knew fighting against them at the moment would only make things worse, however there were exceptions to that rule.

"Once the island is freed of them, they will back off unanimously. The Masters and Guardians will need the location of the divinities that are supporting them, and to find these divinities, they need even a little trace of their roots."

The number of cultists on the island was low for a reason.

Most of them were strong people that believed the headmaster and others were only doing this to either get rid of them, or to gather and discuss how to get rid of them.

And that's where they were going to nip them in the bud.

"But headmaster… What about the children?"

Their plan was simple.

During the upcoming festival, they will use the festival itself to trick the cultists and lure them out.

They will then get rid of them discreetly in order to show to the Higher ups of the cult that This was their plan.

This would be their message to the cult. A simple message to how they knew about them and were actually doing something about it.

{ "Yes, Merlin. You cannot drag the children into this mess." }

The plan that the headmaster had was great, however there was a chance of endangering the children.

"Yes yes. I would never do anything that would harm them."

He was the headmaster.

Putting the children, his students above anything else was what this position was all about.

"That's exactly why we are celebrating a festival and not an event."

There was a smirk on his face.

And, the vice headmaster that knew this person well knew exactly what he wanted to say from that statement.

"Since this is a festival, the entire island will take part in the celebration."

Not just the people that they had invited, anyone of a high authority would have justification to be present on the island at that time.

"There are merely a few of them."

Even if they consider all these demonic cultists possessed strength comparable to a King ranked knight or an Elder mage, which wouldn't really be an exaggeration, they would still have numerical superiority.

"Let's see how they react to this."

There were going to be a lot of important people present on the island on the day of the festival.

The competition where not one but 12 masterpieces will be presented before the world at once would also generate a great deal of attention.

All the eyes would be on the academy and on the classes that create these masterpieces…

And while that is happening, the actual 'festival' would be celebrated in the shadows with blades and magic…
