Chapter 953: Ideas of Class (I)
[Eon's POV: ]
"Miss Rashel?"
"Yes, teacher."
The classes for the first day have ended now… and they were pretty fun if we exclude how we mostly only talked about the festival and stuff related to it.
'Teachers were going crazy about this whole out of the blue festival thing.'
The homeroom teachers aside, the rest of the teachers were also talking about the various kinds of preparations, things related to the preparations, or anything that would come down to the preparations of this festival.
Lady Adela even went as far as selecting a few of us to directly help her with a few things.
As teachers, they shouldn't do that in such a straightforward manner.
There weren't any rules preventing it, but there still were a lot of things that they needed to maintain as the teachers of the great academy.
'And yet, someone as noble as her that knew and followed the rules better than many has asked us to help her directly.'
It just showed how much this special festival meant to the teachers who were going to meet their seniors.
"I'd suggest we go with the academy castle design… I know it is simple, something totally obvious, however, if we focus on the elemental details rather than…"
[{ "Boring…" }]
[{ "Hang in there, Uriel." }]
[{ "Don't call me that." }]
[{ "But it is Your name here, isn't it, Miss Uriel?" }]
The classes were over now and we were finally discussing what our Class (I) was going to make for the festival competition.
'Everyone was giving their own opinions, and, since we are still in our homeroom class, we were sitting at the very back.'
They were going in a systematic order, going from left to right from the first row in the front, so our turn would almost be at the very last… which was what sir Jez wanted, perhaps.
"Alright. Then, Miss Eryndor? Any ideas?"
One thing was good though.
'Even though everyone from our class was present here, it wasn't taking too long to pass from one idea to the other since most of them were only answering in a way that they wanted instead of how they were supposed to.'
Some, like the girl he had just asked, simply shook their heads as they did not have any idea of their own.
Most of the things that have been talked about already pretty much covered everything there was in the academy.
[{ "It's going to be Quin's turn soon, so look forward to it." }]
[{ "Hmmm… I'm still getting bored though." }]
Starting from Sir Quesnel, the academy garden, certain trees of the academy, the four wings present on both Cardinal and Intermediate Directions, to even the Library of time, the librarian, someone even suggested we make a sculpture of the headmaster.
'And many of them were quite powerful ideas that could actually pop up in the final models of the other classes.'
But, we aren't going to make any of those things.
[{ "You know what? Why don't you just ask him? He's going to pick your idea anyway-." }]
[{ "He knows we will give him what he wants. That's exactly why we will be last, Rein. It's simple. He just wants to listen to everything there is." }]
One thing that I knew about our number three loving class teacher was how he loved to add details- mainly ones that involved three of them- into his creations.
He had integrated that number so deep into his life that I think he will cut down one of his fingers to make them 'nine' the square of three.
[{ "Just endure for a bit longer. Things will get better." }]
It was Quin's turn next and… I was looking forward to this for a while now.
[{ "I know things will get better. But, It's So Boring!" }]
There's nothing I can do about her boredom for now, however, I know she will be fine till the end of this session.
"Miss Aleequinn?"
"Yes, teacher!"
It was Quin's turn now so she stood up and took a deep breath.
"How about we make just this classroom of ours, teacher?"
"Hmmm?"
"What…?"
"...?"
Quin did tell us about her idea when we were having lunch and it was quite unique as well.
"Please elaborate for us, Miss Quin or are you saying we should just make A classroom model?"
"Oh, no no. I mean we should make a model of this specific classroom of ours."
Not all students knew it yet, but each of the homeroom classrooms that would look the same at first glance were in fact a little different from one another.
Each of the classrooms had something unique about them and were in fact something different from the other.
"As you already know, our classroom has pretty much all the unique elements the other classrooms have.
So, recreating it in our own way would also make things fun, right?"
She knew about the uniqueness of each of the classrooms for a while now.
'She was the only one that even saw through these unique elements in the first week of our academy and then I helped her see all the different things.'
She went to all the classes and studied them like a book and was amazed at how there could be something so unique yet simple and interesting.
[{ "It's the only fun idea among the rest of them, darling." }]
The ideas of class (I) were all quite similar to the ones that the rest of the classes had.
Everyone was talking about what was present before them and what had been the part of the academy.
[{ "It's not easy to think about what has never occurred to you, ma'am. All of us have a certain way they see things and understand them, remember?" }]
She would know it the best since she had the most unique eyes.
'Even I did not know how she sees the things around us many times.'
Just like her, everyone had their own POV, a way to perceive the world, a way to store information.
"That is an interesting idea, Miss Quin."
He was impressed. Everyone could see that much.
"However, even though it's a great suggestion, we might not be able to pull this off."
And now he was sad.
[{ "Well, she tried." }]
[{ "We should have told her about the-." }]
[{ "You didn't do it for a reason, dummy." }]
I could have told her how the classrooms might not work, but then the rest of the class missed the opportunity to know about something pretty fun.
"The homeroom classes that we have right now have indeed existed ever since the foundation of the academy.
And, they were in fact the first classrooms ever created in this grand castle."
Not many people knew about this, including the teachers. However, some teachers like this classteacher of ours who had explored a great part of this academy castle in his student days knew well how each of these classrooms were special.
-Snap.
He snapped his fingers, and little dots of blood rose in twelve different areas.
"Do you see these points?"
From ceilings to a few desks, and his own desk. The scattered twelve points were present in the entire classroom.
"When you connect them, they create a unique thing that not everyone knows about."
When the twelve points were connected with one another while taking each one of them as the origin point, what we got resembled not a spell circle, but an original rune letter.
"(I) of the classroom (I)… it represents individuality, or as the Founders wanted to call it, (Representation of Ego)."
The Rune letter contained a message, a power, and a warning.
But the other students would have to figure it out on their own.
-Snap.
The bright gold rune letter produced by sir Jez's blood magic vanished, and the mesmerised students lost in the uniqueness of this one simple word came back to their senses.
"I'm only allowed to show you this much, but I'll tell you there's a lot more to these classrooms than you might believe.
So much so that The founders of the academy, the founders of the houses and the creator divine beasts, as I know, had to spend a century just to perfect the twelve homeroom classes that we all have studied in."
Just like this classroom, the rest of them were also a representation of something.
And, the unique elements they have, just like this classroom, produce a certain kind of Rune letter that would reveal the basic meaning THEY wanted to have for these classrooms.
"I will be in trouble if any of you leaks how I showed this to you so, keep this to yourself. And, if you can't do even that much… I don't think I'll need you in any of my future classes."
Of all the teachers in the academy, hardly over a dozen should be aware of the uniqueness of the classrooms.
And, if even the teachers don't know, the chances that the students would know it were small as well.
"Besides, you'll forget it in a few days anyway."
That's just how hidden knowledge worked. One had to figure it out on their own to permanently retain it.
"So…"
Quin was still standing, so he instructed her to sit down.
"I don't want to try and make something I know I obviously know too little about and disrespect those who spent years and years of their precious time behind it."
The classrooms were out of the question already.
But this little experience was worth it.
"It was a great suggestion, Miss Quin, but I apologise. I'm not capable of creating anything that would justify their efforts behind these twelve classrooms."
A lot of students were shocked how the grumpy strict teacher of ours was apologising.
But many also understood the importance he gave to these classrooms.
[{ "He's a unique person." }]
[{ "He's a unique vampire, you mean?" }]
Rein smiled as she said that, and I couldn't help but shake my head at her with a sigh.
[{ "You and your prejudice." }]
Vampires are noble creatures of night and all that, yes, but they can be humble as well.
It's not like they are immortals anyway…
"Alright then, shall we move on?"
The next few people will have boring ideas as well. And she will complain once again.
'But it's alright…'
Seeing that sight was a good breather for her bored eyes as well.
