Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 951: Brainstorming at lunch

[Rein's POV: ]

"Anyone want more rice? Anyone?"

"No."

"I'm good."

"Oh, yes. Thanks."

"Ball, pass this please."

"Uriel! Curry~!"

"Hey, Tia! Don't eat from the big bowl when you are in that small form! Get into the normal form or have small portions."

It was pretty uncomfortable to look at her when she was making that monster-like big mouth even when being in her smaller form.

She didn't used to do it before, but it seems like she has learned something new.

"Is it bad that I eat like that?"

"You tell me, Miss. Will you be alright after looking at your friend who used to be a refined lady at lunch time acting like an untrained animal?"

Tia is a nice girl so I know she will understand it isn't a good thing. Even on a lunch table where people who had seen much weirder things were sitting, it wasn't a good thing seeing someone like her eating with a mouth bigger than Prince Alph's vice captain Bjorn.

"Anyway…"

Apparently, everyone was a little too hungry after the lectures that somehow seemed to have lasted for more than usual.

They wanted food, and mainly sweets so we first served lunch and got to the eating part.

"I know everyone wants to avoid talking about the class competition, but the thing is, We students aren't really going to be the ones competing directly."

They ate their food, and I did as well. And, now that we had filled out our tummies a little, it was time for me to break this one wrong idea they all had.

"I can tell some of you might have figured out how the class teachers are a little too excited about this whole competition thing.

I believe some of you also saw them in a good mood, and the reason for that mood isn't merely because they are excited about this competition, they actually are looking forward to making the things that we all are going to do."

Eon was busy serving them so I had to feed him occasionally like I usually do.

It's not something new here, so no one paid any attention to that. However, some of them who were still considering this competition to be a big thing were all looking at me with confused eyes.

"What? Did you all think this is going to be a class battle and the one making better things will get rewarded or something?"

That most certainly wasn't the case and besides, they should have already figured out all this from how the class teachers were acting.

"Wait, so you mean we all aren't going to be the one competing?

Like at all?"

Tia wasn't the only one that was thinking how she would get to fight against all the other classes.

Even a few others who couldn't see through the intentions of their homeroom teachers had been thinking how the class Vs class will play out.

"We have to make a masterpiece in three weeks, Tia. Three weeks.

Tell me, everyone, just how would a bunch of students create a model of something as grand as the academy without making it seem like a disrespect or a joke?"

They were thinking a little too far this time. Things right before their eyes were all that they needed to focus on, and yet…

I'm pretty sure this bunch of kids already thought about how they were going to deal with the creation process or about what things they might do to make things better when competing against the other classes.

'Alf and Bell had thought about a design, I can tell that much from that flabbergasted expression of theirs. And even captain Alpha, Luna, and even Mia had thought about something, but after hearing what I just said, they couldn't seem to be in a complicated position.'

But it was alright.

This matter isn't complicated or anything. One just has to understand a few things to know how this competition is going to be about the teachers, their experience, and the talent that all of them have.

"Even with all of us in those classes, even with hundreds of talented students helping them, even when we are only supposed to make something that we already know a good lot about, as students with quite limited experience and knowledge, we do not really have any chance to be the leading element of this entire competition."

There are some exceptions as there always are to all scenarios. But, even they might have difficulty being the centre of attention in their classes.

"Just think about it… all the class teachers from class A to class L have something unique about them.

All of them are somehow connected with the creation field, all of them are Top graduates of their batches, and all of them have been in a good mood today as I've observed."

I didn't need my precious eyes to tell they were having a good day today.

It was visible on all their faces and, when they passed by one another, the students could even feel the kind of sparks that were appearing around them.

"Miss Uriel? Are you sure about this? Like-."

"Yes I'm sure, you dummy."

Even Quin was questioning the facts now. She really was thorough when it comes to the things that she's really curious about.

"Anyway… darling. Continue."

Feeding him was tiring when he was busy passing things, playing things, and looking after everyone else.

I also had my own food, so talking while doing all of this wasn't really comfortable.

"Hmm… Uriel simply means this is going to be a competition between the teachers.

And no. It's not like it would be completely unrelated to us students.

We should get some credits if we do well. And, I'd say the first step- choosing what exactly the class will be making- creating the model idea would be the most important task of them all."

I was trying to hide it to decrease the competition but my dumb little bastard went ahead and told them what they needed to do to get their name right beside the teachers during the project submission.

"You're the worst, Lucifer."

He wanted things to be fair. He was already preparing a detailed guide for what the students needed to do for this entire festival thing excluding the competition part, so he was helping them all a little too much.

"Things are better than when they are fair, Miss fiancée. We will just get more praise when we win the competition."

If the students knew what they needed to do for the festival part, they would know what they needed to do about the competition part.

He was directly helping the people currently present here while indirectly assisting the rest of the students.

"Uriel?! You were going to hide this from me?!"

Tia was angry how I wanted to hide this from her. But there really isn't anything worth hiding from them anymore.

He already told them all that he wanted to, he was also done with his model suggestion, as well as an entire miniature model of that thing, and he had also started eating now.

Which was good or else I would have had to stop eating myself once again.

"Shuuuu… everyone."

A little commotion broke out after they understood what all of them needed to do from now on.

Though not all of us present here possessed architectural knowledge, we just had to get the idea of what it was that we needed to make.

There were a few things that I wanted to make as well, but from our class, I don't think we will get any better ideas than what Eon had.

Stil…

"How about we brainstorm a few ideas? I'm not saying we should tell one another what we think about, but at least getting opinions from everyone regarding what 'might not' be a good thing is fine, right?"

We had all the resources and all the information that we needed about this academy.

We have been here for a while now and we have seen more things than most of the other people in the academy.

Unlike the people here, I've also been to the Queen's nest with Eon, to the heart of the academy, to the place where not everyone can go to, and to rooms that don't open themselves to just anyone.

"I like the sound of that."

"Possibility elimination, nice."

"Yeiii~! We might also get some new ideas from this~!"

We have seen quite a few things in the academy and the rest of them have as well from their own perspective.

'The entire competition is about who makes a better masterpiece so, having a lot of perspectives from the others would obviously be a huge help.' Stay connected through empire

Even for Eon, a new inspiration might just pop up.

And I'm hoping it does since… I don't want Class I to be in second place.

If we couldn't even beat Zoe with Eon, Captain Alpha, Mia, Ball, and others in our class, it would be shameful to every one of us.

"So, then, we were thinking about making a model of the island itself."

Not everyone was happy to hear this unique suggestion. Some of them were still reluctant to share their thoughts since this was such an important matter.

The chance of their idea getting stolen was pretty big, so they were holding back.

However…

"Woh, wait."

"Oh damn…"

"Why didn't I think of that~?"

However, there was nothing to fear when they were with us.

Nothing was going to leak from this table, and nothing was going to be eavesdropped on.

We made sure all things are private, so… this was a safe space.
