Douluo Dalu: Eclipse de Almas

Chapter 21: Capítulo 21: Batallas de Superación

The tension on the island felt like an electric current in the air. Although separated by trials, Xu Tian, Yue Lian and Tang San were facing challenges that tested not only their strength, but also their hearts and convictions.

Xu Tian's Trial: Light vs Darkness

Xu Tian narrowly dodged a devastating blow from the Guardian of Twilight, whose shadows seemed to spread across the battlefield like hungry tentacles. His breathing was heavy, and sweat beaded on his forehead, but his eyes still shone with determination.

"Your power is impressive," Xu Tian admitted, straightening up as his sword radiated heat. "But darkness cannot devour light completely. There is always a spark left."

The Guardian remained silent, his only response a direct attack, with a blast of darkness spreading out like an immense wave.

Xu Tian planted his feet firmly on the ground, activating his fifth spirit ring. Sunlight condensed on his sword, transforming it into a torch that burned with such intensity that the entire valley began to light up.

"Solar Burst: Eternal Flame!" he shouted, as he swung his sword towards the Guardian.

The attack collided with the dark wave, and for a moment, both energies fought for dominance. Finally, Xu Tian's light prevailed, dispelling the darkness and knocking the Guardian to the ground.

The warrior slowly stood up, but this time he did not attack. Instead, he bowed slightly, as a show of respect.

"You have proven that even in the deepest darkness, light can prevail," a deep voice said, echoing in Xu Tian's mind. "The first part of your test has concluded."

Xu Tian exhaled deeply, feeling the heavy atmosphere of the valley beginning to dissipate. But he knew this was not over.

Yue Lian's Test: Fighting Against Oneself

Yue Lian's reflection attacked mercilessly, every arrow she shot a perfect echo of her own abilities. Every time Yue Lian tried to launch a counteroffensive, her duplicate anticipated her moves.

"Is this the best you can do?" the reflection sneered, with an arrogant smile.

Yue Lian stepped back, her eyes filled with frustration. "I can't surpass her if she keeps matching me in everything..." she thought, gritting her teeth.

Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. "If this reflection is a mirror of myself, then she not only shares my strength, but also my weaknesses."

Taking a deep breath, Yue Lian lowered her bow and stood stock still. Her reflection, taken aback by the change in strategy, also lowered its weapon.

"Giving up so easily?" the duplicate asked.

"I realize something," Yue Lian said, staring straight at her reflection. "My strength does not lie in defeating you. It lies in accepting who I am, with all my faults and doubts. I do not have to fight against myself. I only have to understand myself."

The reflection stared at her silently, and slowly, it began to fade, transforming into a silver light that absorbed into Yue Lian's body.

A comforting warmth enveloped her, and a voice echoed in her mind. "You have passed the test of balance. Go forth, bearer of the Eternal Moon."

Tang San's Test: The Spirit of the Eternal Tide

Tang San found himself standing on an endless beach, with the sea stretching out as far as the eye could see. Without warning, the water began to churn, and from its depths a colossal creature emerged: an ocean spirit, shaped like a serpentine dragon made of pure water.

"You must protect yourself and your allies from my fury," the creature roared, its voice echoing like thunder.

Tang San did not hesitate. He summoned his Blue Silver Grass, which grew around him like a living shield. With his gaze fixed on the spirit, he began to weave a net of plants and traps.

The water dragon roared, releasing a jet of pressurized water that tore across the battlefield with terrifying speed. Tang San reacted instantly, deflecting the attack with a wall of his reinforced grass.

"I must not just defend myself," Tang San thought, activating his third spirit ring. "I must find a way to contain it without destroying it."

With precise movements, he began to manipulate his Blue Silver Grass to form a giant net. As the dragon charged towards him, Tang San threw the net out, trapping the spirit within.

The dragon struggled to break free, but the net was permeated with spiritual energy. Finally, the spirit calmed down, looking at him with something that seemed like respect.

"You have shown wit and determination," the dragon said. "You are worthy of continuing."

Tang San nodded, grateful, as the creature vanished into the ocean.

After passing their respective tests, Xu Tian, Yue Lian and Tang San were transported back to the central altar. They all looked exhausted, but their faces were bright with satisfaction at having overcome the challenges.

"So, we all managed to pass," Tang San said, with a small smile.

Yue Lian nodded. "Each test was different, but I think we learned something important from them."

Xu Tian crossed his arms, looking towards the tower in the center of the island. "This is just the beginning. If the Sea God has more tests for us, then we must be prepared."

Suddenly, a voice echoed from the altar. "Well done, brave ones. But your journey is not over yet. Atop the tower, you will find the answers you seek… and more challenges."

The three exchanged determined glances before beginning to walk towards the tower, knowing what awaited them.
