Chapter 80: Chapter 80: "Xiaogang, Deep Breaths, Deep Breaths, Don’t Get Angry!"
Yu Xiaogang, unwilling to be branded with the nickname "Knowledge Tailor" on his first day of teaching, fumed.
"You little girl! How dare you accuse me of plagiarism? My published Ten Core Theories of Martial Souls—do you have any evidence to prove I stole them?"
Ning Rongrong chuckled at his outburst.
"Do I even need to explain? Anyone with eyes can see the truth. All the prominent powers know your so-called theories. You just took common knowledge, tweaked it a bit, and presented it as your own!"
"Have you no shame?"
While this issue had never been exposed publicly, those in the know, particularly influential families, were well aware of the truth. Out of respect for Yu Xiaogang's lineage as the son of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's patriarch, no one had bothered to reveal it.
But Ning Rongrong was different. As the "Little Witch" of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, she feared no one and never hesitated to call out those she disliked.
Seeing Yu Xiaogang's denial, she unleashed her full arsenal, exposing everything.
Yu Xiaogang's face turned pale. He knew better than anyone how his theories had come to be.
Now that Ning Rongrong had laid it all bare, his embarrassment and fury surged to the breaking point. If looks could kill, Ning Rongrong would've died a thousand times over.
He was utterly shaken.
"Flender! I beg you, kill her for me!"
Flender watched his old friend, eyes bulging with rage, nearly trembling with madness. He could understand why.
Yu Xiaogang's lifelong goal had been to prove his theories, and now someone had completely dismantled his credibility in front of everyone.
It wasn't just a personal attack—it was a direct assault on his very identity.
For years, Yu Xiaogang had lived his own lie to the point that even he believed his theories were original.
Even Yun Feng was stunned. He hadn't realized Ning Rongrong's sharp tongue was this deadly. She was the real master here—her words could crush egos and defenses alike.
"Terrifying," Yun Feng muttered under his breath, genuinely afraid. The scariest part was that Ning Rongrong wasn't wrong.
They say lies don't hurt people, but the truth cuts like a blade. This moment perfectly illustrated that adage.
Flender tried to calm the situation.
"Xiaogang, deep breaths, deep breaths. Don't get angry. She's the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's little princess—you can't touch her!"
"Trust me, brother. I believe you didn't plagiarize. Don't let her words get to you. Right and wrong will be judged by time."
Yu Xiaogang's breathing slowed slightly, but his rage still simmered beneath the surface.
Sensing the rising tension, Yun Feng stepped forward, grabbing Ning Rongrong's arm to stop her from saying more. The situation had already gone far enough.
If Flender or the others truly lost their tempers, the consequences could spiral out of control.
"Alright, Rongrong, that's enough," Yun Feng said, winking at her.
Ning Rongrong, no fool, caught the hint and nodded, refraining from pressing further.
Though still seething, Yu Xiaogang took Flender's advice. He drew a deep breath and forced himself to respond calmly.
"Ning Rongrong, I won't argue with you this time. But I'll prove to you that my theories are sound and my own."
Ning Rongrong rolled her eyes, unimpressed.
"Prove it all you want, but the facts won't change."
To her, Yu Xiaogang's theories were flawed from the start and had already misled countless people.
As Flender saw the argument settle down, he quickly stepped in to move things along.
"From today onward, all teaching will be handled by the Grandmaster. The rest of us will assist him as needed.
"Since you all just returned yesterday, I'm giving you the day off. Rest well. Classes will resume tomorrow.
"Our trip to the Star Dou Forest brought breakthroughs for Yun Feng and Oscar.
"For those of you who haven't yet reached level 30—Ning Rongrong, Ma Hongjun, Zhu Zhuqing, and Tang San—you'll need to put in extra effort to catch up."
"Grandmaster, do you have anything to add?"
Though still irritated, Yu Xiaogang nodded. His stiff face betrayed no emotion as he addressed the students.
"The academy has only eight students. To me, you are a single unit. I've reviewed your profiles and will develop targeted training regimens for each of you.
"I expect full cooperation and no dissent.
"No matter who you are, you'll be treated equally. As students of this Monster Academy, you must surpass ordinary soul masters.
"My goal is for the world to remember you only as 'monsters.'
"Starting today, you'll no longer be divided into junior and senior groups. Training will be unified."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over the students. When his eyes landed on Ning Rongrong, a flicker of displeasure was evident.
"I've assigned ranks to each of you:
Zero: Yun Feng.
One: Dai Mubai.
Two: Oscar.
Three: Tang San.
Four: Ma Hongjun.
Five: Xiao Wu.
Six: Ning Rongrong.
Seven: Zhu Zhuqing."
"Now you're dismissed. Assemble here at dawn tomorrow.
"And one last thing—I expect everyone to be present for breakfast. Anyone absent will face 'special training.'"
Though the day off was welcome, Yu Xiaogang's arrival had injected a sense of tension and, for some, amusement into the academy.
Before Ning Rongrong's remarks, most hadn't thought much about Yu Xiaogang. But now that she'd exposed the rumors, and seeing Yu Xiaogang unable to retaliate, everyone knew things were bound to get interesting.
Dai Mubai, however, shared Yu Xiaogang's sour mood. Still nursing his grudge against Yun Feng for humiliating him, he had missed the Star Dou Forest trip entirely.
As the teachers left, Oscar leaned toward Tang San and whispered,
"Tang San, your teacher seems even stricter than Principal Flender."
Tang San forced a smile, suppressing his discomfort. Despite his mixed feelings,
he said,
"Teacher always works meticulously. As long as we follow his instructions, we won't encounter any problems."
