Chapter 26: Chapter 26: How do you know I was in trouble
As she ate, Lira couldn't help but feel grateful for Vadal's love and care. She knew that she had been distant and cold towards him earlier, but he had still taken care of her, making sure she had food and comfort.
Staring at his beautiful face, she smile knowing that Vadal was a light sleeper, and she suspected that he might be pretending to sleep.
She started eating the food that he had left for her, savoring the delicious taste of the worm noodles. As she ate, she felt someone's gaze on her, and she looked back at Vadal. But his eyes remained closed, and he seemed to be fast asleep. Lira raised an eyebrow, wondering if she was just imagining things.
She continued eating, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Vadal was watching her. She looked back at him again, but his eyes were still closed. Lira narrowed her eyes, feeling a sense of playfulness. She was determined to catch him off guard.
A smile spread across her face as she pretended to eat, and then she quickly turned back to look at him. But this time, she was ready for him. As she turned, she caught Vadal off guard, his eyes wide open and looking directly at her.
"Caught you," Lira said, laughing. Vadal fell back in bed, a smile spreading across his face. "You're a sneaky one, aren't you?" Lira teased, still laughing.
Vadal chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I guess I got caught," he said, his voice low and husky. Lira leaned over, her face close to his. "You're not very good at pretending to sleep," she whispered, her breath tickling his ear.
Vadal's smile deepened, and he reached out to pull Lira into his arms. "I guess I'll just have to try harder next time," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. Lira laughed, feeling a sense of joy and playfulness with him. She knew that she had caught him, but she also knew that she loved him, and that he loved her too.
Do you want some, Lira asked, pointing at her noodles plate. Vadal sat up and nodded, his eyes fixed on the plate. "Yes, I'd love some," he said with a smile. Lira handed him the plate and he took a bite, savoring the delicious flavors. "Mmm, this is really good," he said, his eyes closing in appreciation. Lira laughed and leaned back against the headboard, watching him eat with a smile.
As Vadal scooped up a spoonful of noodles, he looked at Lira with a playful glint in his eye. "Open your mouth, bad wife," he said, his voice low and teasing. Lira's face flushed with a blush, feeling a little self-conscious about being fed by a man. This was a new experience for her, and she wasn't sure how to react.
"I can do it," she said, trying to sound confident, but Vadal just chuckled and brought the spoon closer to her mouth. "Be good, phoenix," he whispered, his breath tickling her lips.
Lira looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief, and pouted. "I'm not a baby," she said, trying to sound indignant, but Vadal just smiled and leaned in closer.
"Hmm, maybe you are," he whispered, "and you're my wife." Lira's heart skipped a beat at his words, and she felt a surge of affection for him. She smiled, feeling a little silly, and opened her mouth, allowing Vadal to feed her.
As the noodles touched her tongue, Lira closed her eyes, savoring the flavors and the sensation of being fed by Vadal. It was a strange and intimate feeling, but she couldn't deny the pleasure it gave her. She looked up at Vadal, her eyes sparkling with amusement, and he smiled back at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
For a moment, they just looked at each other, the only sound the soft clinking of the spoon against the plate. Then, Vadal scooped up another spoonful of noodles and fed it to Lira, his eyes never leaving hers. Lira felt like she was melting into his gaze, her heart beating faster with every passing moment. She knew that she was in trouble, but she couldn't help the way she felt. She was falling deeper and deeper in love with Vadal, and she didn't know how to stop it.
After eating, Vadal returned the plate to the kitchen and went back into Lira's room, his movements quiet and relaxed. He lay down on the bed, his eyes fixed on Lira as she watched him with a soft smile.
Lira moved towards him, her body gliding across the bed with a gentle rustle of sheets. She wrapped her arms around Vadal, pulling him into a tight hug. Vadal's arms closed around her, holding her closely as he breathed in the fresh sweet scent of her hair.
The two of them lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, the only sound the soft beating of their hearts. Lira felt a sense of peace wash over her, a sense of being exactly where she was meant to be. She buried her face in Vadal's chest, feeling the warmth of his skin and the gentle rise and fall of his breathing.
Vadal's arms tightened around her, holding her closer as he felt her relax into his embrace. He stroked her hair, his fingers gentle as he whispered softly into her ear. "I'm happy you finally learn how to accept me. phoenix," he said, his voice low and soothing. "I was worried." That you may never accept me even if it is a small period of time. He said calmly and smile lightly.
Lira's arms tightened around him, holding him closer as she felt a surge of love and affection for him. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I didn't mean to worry you."
Vadal's lips brushed against her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "You don't have to apologize, phoenix," he said. "I just want to take care of you, to make sure you're happy and safe with me."
As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, Lira felt a sense of happiness and contentment, regret wash over her. Why was she so blind that she didn't notice who he truly was in the past. Always hurting his feelings emotionally, mentally and physically. She think to herself her eyes turning red with pain and regret feeling sorry for him. Upon all the things she had did to him in the past. "he's still there for her when she needs him, save her when she needed to be save. Care for her when she needed to be cared for, love her when she needed to be loved, protect her when she needed to be protected, punish her when she deserves to be punished, and spoiled her slowly.
Lira's look up at him, remembering what happened earlier. Her voice was barely above a whisper, but Vadal's ears picked up every word. "How do you know I'm in trouble and come and save me?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
