Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Let's not do it
As they kissed, Lira felt a sense of completeness wash over her. She had never felt this way before, like she was home, like she was exactly where she was meant to be. Vadal's arms wrapped around her, holding her close as he deepened the kiss. Lira's heart racing, she felt like she was melting into him, like they were becoming one.
As they broke apart for air, Vadal smiled at her, his eyes shining with love and adoration. "I love you too, Lira," he said, his voice low and husky. "I've always loved you, even when you didn't love me back."
Lira's eyes filled with tears as she looked at him. She had been so blind, so stupid, to not see the love that Vadal had for her. She had pushed him away, hurt him, and yet he still loved her. She felt a wave of gratitude wash over her, and she leaned forward, kissing him again.
This time, the kiss was softer, sweeter. It was a kiss of gratitude, of love, of apology. Vadal's arms wrapped around her, holding her close as they stood there, lost in the moment.
As they stood there, Lira realized that she is lucky to had been given a second chance. She had been given the chance to make things right, to love Vadal the way he deserved to be loved. And she was determined to take it, to make the most of it.
"I'm sorry," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry for hurting you, for pushing you away." So much."
Vadal's eyes filled with pain, as he looked at her. "You don't have to apologize, wife," he said. "I know you where manipulated against me, that you were confused. But I'm just glad that you're mine now, that you have learn to accept me."
Lira smiled, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. "I'm glad too," she said. "I'm glad that I'm yours, that you're mine."
Vadal gazed into Lira's vibrant emerald eyes, he could see the desire burning within them. She wanted him, and he could sense it. He wanted to give her what she wanted, to satisfy her desires and make her happy.
He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers, and Lira's eyes fluttered closed. Vadal's hands roamed over her body, tracing the curves of her waist, the swell of her breasts. Lira's skin was on fire, her body responding to Vadal's touch in ways she never thought possible.
But just as things were about to escalate, Vadal suddenly broke apart from her, his eyes clouding over with a mixture of emotions. Lira's eyes narrowed, confusion etched on her face.
"What's wrong, husband?" she asked, her voice husky with desire.
Vadal stared at her, his eyes calm and collected, but Lira could sense a hint of turmoil beneath the surface. "Let's not do it," he said, his voice low and gentle. "You may regret it tomorrow, and you may not want me anymore when I do what I plan to do tomorrow."
Lira's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with questions. What was Vadal planning to do tomorrow that could make her regret their intimacy? What could he possibly do that would make her not want him anymore?
But before she could ask any questions, Vadal continued, "You'll find out tomorrow, and you may hate me again." His voice was laced with a hint of sadness, and Lira's heart went out to him.
She tried to look up at him, to demand answers, but Vadal's grip on her tightened. "Be good, phoenix," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear. "Let me hug you for a while."
Lira nodded, feeling a sense of frustration wash over her. She is damn turn on and he suddenly stop and she wanted to know what was going on, what Vadal was planning, but he wasn't going to tell her. Not yet, anyway.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Lira couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What was Vadal hiding from her? What was he planning to do that could potentially ruin their relationship?
Go and freshen up and get ready for dinner, Vadal whispered after a while, his breath warm against Lira's ear. Lira nodded, still feeling a bit dazed from their intense moment earlier. She got up and walked to her room, feeling Vadal's eyes on her as she went.
As she entered her room, Lira felt a sense of relief wash over her. She closed the door behind her and took a deep breath, trying to process everything that had just happened and calm down. She walked over to the shower and turned it on, letting the Cold water wash over her as she tried to clear her mind.
After her shower, She got dressed and lay down on her bed, feeling a bit exhausted. She had been feeling emotional all day, and the intensity of her moment with Vadal had left her feeling drained. She closed her eyes, intending to just rest for a minute, but before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.
Vadal walked into her room a while later, calling out to her to come down for dinner. But as he approached her bed, he saw that she was fast asleep. He smiled and sat down beside her, watching her sleep for a few moments. He could see the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she breathed, and the soft flutter of her eyelids as she dreamed.
Vadal leaned forward and gently kissed her forehead, feeling a sense of love and tenderness towards her. "Sleep tight, my love," he whispered. "I'll have dinner kept warm for you. You can eat whenever you wake up." He stood up and walked out of the room, closing the door softly behind him.
During Midnight,
Lira woke up groggily, she stared at her dark room, her eyes straining to see anything clearly. Her stomach growled in hunger, reminding her that she had missed dinner.
She tried to move, but something wrapped around her tightly, holding her in place. "Huh" She reached out to touch it, and her hand brushed against a warm, muscular arm.
Suddenly, she felt a surge of awareness, and she realized that Vadal was wrapped around her, holding her close. She felt a sense of comfort and security wash over her, and she relaxed into his embrace.
Lira reached out to turn on the bed lamp, and the soft light illuminated the room. She looked up at Vadal, who was sleeping peacefully beside her, his face relaxed and calm. She smiled, feeling a sense of love and affection towards him.
As she looked around the room, Lira noticed that Vadal had left a tray of food on the bedside table, with a note that read: "Eat when you wake up, wife." She smiled, feeling touched by his thoughtfulness.
Lira's stomach growled again, reminding her that she was hungry. She carefully extricated herself from Vadal's arms, trying not to wake him up. She sat up and reached for the tray, pulling it towards her.
