Right now, Rei and Nami were heading for their treasure hunt after repeated pestering from the later. Initially, the lightning boy was thinking of escaping this town with rest of members since he had already saved the life of Miss thief from the grasp of Pirate Clown. All he could do was join her and get some treasure as well, because gold was valuable in his world too and passing on treasure will be just a waste.

"So what's a devil fruit, Nami? Is there a garden owned by devils in this world?" Rei decided to strike a conversation while they were on their way. Although he was well aware about them, but he thought it would be his chance to stir away the awkward silence between them.

'A garden owned by devils?' Nami stopped abruptly in her steps and imagined a devil holding basket, while plucking the fruits and placing them in it. She shook her head to dismiss all her thoughts and turned to the boy on her side, "No there is no such thing as garden owned by Devils! All I know is that it's a fruit which gives strange power to whoever eats it. I thought it was just a myth, but seeing with my own eyes, it turns out it was indeed true. But honestly, after the introduction of chat group in my life, it's not that surprising to find about their existence in this world"

Rei asked as he put both his hands in pocket as they continued to walk towards their destination, "Forgive me for prying, but why are you stealing from the pirates knowing how dangerous they are. If I hadn't interrupted earlier, you would have lost your life there, you know? Consider yourself lucky that I showed up there in time"

Nami let out a defeated sigh and replied, "I have a deal with Arlong, if I give him 100 million belli, he will give me back my village and no longer cause any trouble for us. All these years, I've been stealing from pirates because they are the worst people around the sea and also, I've never stole a single belli from an innocent person in my whole life"

"I don't know whether I should laugh or pity you for your naivety" This caused the orange haired girl to look at him with glare for looking down on her misery, but what he said next, caused her eyes to widen in shock and realization, "Do you really think that someone like Arlong would stand on his words? A cruel person who steps over weak individuals would abide by a mere word to you. To me, you're just filling a bucket full of holes"

"No! He would never do that! We have a deal between us" Nami retorted to stand top on her words and promise between him and Arlong, which she can't imagine being broken by the later. Rei shrugged his shoulders and gazed into her eyes with serious expression which startled her a bit.

"You're just denying the reality to manifest your assumptions. Imagine if he turns back on his word and at that moment, what are you gonna do? Cry for injustice, unfairness in life? None of it will save you and the villagers will still go through hell like now" Rei's words hit right into her chest and she looked down with a dark expression on her face. All this time, she was working on the goal was shattered in an instant by the words of boy in front of him. While on her quest in desperation, she never realized that it might happen to her and it was just a desperate attempt from her end and Arlong had nothing to lose and could go back in his word in every sense.

"Y-you will save me if that happens, right?" She muttered under her breath which was quite low and almost inaudible, but thanks to his heightened senses he caught up on her words and gave a pat on her shoulder with a big smile on his face, which almost led her shoulder to go down from the force.

"Don't worry! That's why me and everyone are here" Rei throwed his arm around her shoulder and motioned to walk ahead to get some loot for her. With his bold move, he was expecting a slap on his face to which he was prepared to dodge any moment, but it never came and she lightly withdrew his arm and looked at him with little tears around her eyes.

"But first help me get that treasure from those pirates" Hearing her request in middle of negligible sobbing, caused him to sweatdrop. Even after all this, she hadn't given upon the treasure and stealing it for herself. He just smiled at her and nodded at her in agreement to raid the base of Buggy Pirates.

After walking for a while, they were standing outside the bar from where they escaped earlier. Nami moved her gaze around and noticed that no one was around, it was the perfect opportunity to steal all the treasure held at ground floor. Meanwhile Rei was looking above in expectation of someone making an appearance up there.

"I knew both of you will return back to this place" The familiar voice came from the above as both of them turned their heads to look at the clown wrapped up in bandages and wounds around his body. The men behind him were still scared from the earlier beating that Rei given them, but still behind their boss, they felt comfortable as the later didn't tell about his absolute defeat to the boy. As each one of them woke up from their slumber, they were told by their captain, that three of them escaped after a death match between him and as his blind followers, they accepted whatever story he told them.

'Why would he return back here!' The clown faced man was cowering in fear upon seeing black haired boy with a nonchalant expression on his face. Although he was posing a deadly pirate persona from outside in front of everyone, but from inside he was praying for boy to get away by trying to scare the girl beside him. 'I am no match for the electric devil fruit that he ate. Logia users are far stronger than paramecia users, if I get into another battle with him, I am going to die for sure!'

"This time you won't be able to escape from captain Buggy! You brat!" One of pirates beside him yelled at Rei, who gave a slight glare from what he just heard. Buggy instantly turned to his crewmate and motioned him to shut up and not bring the doom upon them. As he was still calming him down, more of them joined in.

"You might have beaten us, but you'll never be able to defeat Captain Buggy!"

"Captain Buggy will take your life and you won't be able to run away this time!"

'Shut up you morons! Do you guys want to die here?!' Buggy was now scared shitless seeing the chants of his name and admiration in the eyes of fellow crewmates. He slowly turned his head to the boy down, who was having annoyed look from all the chants about his cowardice which made clown man's soul almost leave out of his body.

'I have no choice but to go along with it and leave all this to my luck' Buggy mustered up all of his courage while controlling his shaking of every muscle in his body and ordered one of his men to bring out the cannon to blow away both of them into pieces. Pirates excitedly bring forth the cannon and pointed at Nami and Rei's direction, "Leave this place immediately or I'll kill both of you with my cannon!"

Seeing the familiar cannon pointed at them, Nami was getting the glimpses of earlier destruction laid by it. She turned her head to the boy beside her and nudged him to do something when she saw him standing unfazed by the threat of Buggy to them, "What are you doing Rei?! That cannon will kill both of us!"

'I see, so he is thinking of scaring us away by acting tough in front of his crew members. How stupid of him,...well that's to be expected from the mighty Buggy D Clown' Rei watched this whole situation in amusement and just snickered at the 'threat' from the pirate clown above. He looked at the orange haired girl and did something which surprised her and diverting her thoughts from fear to surprise.

Rei brought her closer to him and put his arm around her shoulder with a confident grin on his face, "I'll show you something more powerful than the cannon beside that clown. Just stand still and watch what happen next up over there"

He lifted up his right hand and made a two finger sign with closed eyes, surprising everyone in the vicinity and confusion, what was he doing all of a sudden? It was not only Buggy and his crew, but also Nami, who looked at him in confusion for his hand gesture around his chest.

'What's he doing?' Nami was about to smack on his head for goofing around, but witnessing his early battle with pirates, she threw away the thought and prayed for her dear life to get saved. Meanwhile on the rooftop, everyone in Buggy's crew was laughing at Rei's action under fear from their mighty captain and on the other hand, Buggy was looking at him with sweat rolling down all around his face, wondering what attack he was about to land on each of them from his logia devil fruit.

Buggy was preparing to use the pirates around him to use as a shield, if he ends up getting shot by a lightning attack from the boy, and saving his neck. He saw him opening his eyes and release a deep sigh while scratching the back of his head, thinking why didn't anything happen? Could it be that the boy wasn't able to use his power properly yet and that was just a fluke?! This was a chance for him to turn the tides in his favor, but as he was about to rejoice about winning this battle, he noticed that it was all dark all of a sudden around him and his people, but below and every place around the sun was still lit up with sunlight.

He turned his head up and his eyes popped out in surprise by seeing dark clouds with lightning crackling sounds and rumbling of thunder roared around the whole town. Everyone looked up in the fear, knowing very well what was going to follow up next. All they could do, was try to run to save their lives from the calamity which was going to befall upon them. Before anyone could move an inch from their positions, multiple lightning bolt striked upon the rooftop repeatedly.

For next 2 minutes, the whole town was filled with the sounds of rumbling and screams of pain from the rooftop. Nami couldn't help but gasp in surprise upon seeing this hellish scene in front of her eyes, although she had deep hatred for the pirates in her heart, but seeing this, she couldn't help but cower in fear and horror from hearing the screams of pirates getting striken. She turned her head to Rei and was surprised to see the scene in admiration and no regret, as if it was a usual scenario for him in his everyday life.

'I don't know whether I should fear those pirates or this guy beside me' Nami had a conflicted expression on her face, while looking at the people on the rooftop getting striken by the random lightning strikes from the dark clouds above them. Everyone in the vicinity had their attention grabbed to the dark clouds which were covering the sky above bar.

At that moment it wasn't just Rei and Nami, who saw this lightning festival with their individuals, there were more individuals who watched this whole scene unfold in front of their eyes, which will soon revealed to the lightning boy, who was enjoying this with a big smile on his face.
