The pirates ran at the boy with weapons in their hand to slaughter the boy on their boss's command. Nami lifted up her staff and was about to jump in for assisting him in the battle, but she was stopped by the hand extending at her from Rei, who had an excited expression on his face.

"Don't tell me that this is the power of your crew?" said Rei in a mocking tone while pointing at the sea of bodies scattered all over the rooftop. It was just mere 15 seconds and over 60-70 people were lying unconscious on the ground passed out. What surprised everyone, was that he didn't use any weapon and dealt with everyone with bare hands.

'This kid is not a normal one. I gotta deal him by myself' Buggy broke the chair he was sitting on and stood up, picking up his daggers from the pocket and started to go towads the black haired boy walking over the bodies of his fallen crew members.

"Oh you're approaching me? Instead of running away, you come right to me?" said Rei with open arms to taunt Buggy who was seething in anger to see his men fall. He clenched the daggers in between his fingers while walking towards Rei, "Even after seeing all this, you're still trying to fighting me head on. Quite courageous of you"

The veins popped up in the forehead of Buggy from blatant disrespect from the kid in front of him. In the next moment, he was scattered into pieces and surprising everyone in the vicinity by witnessing this crazy scene.

"He splitted!" Nami screamed in horror seeing such a bizarre scene in front of her eyes. Even the boy in cage joined in her amazement while still being the individual like the clown faced man. She turned to face Rei in worry about how he will deal with him, but she was surprised to see his unfazed expression and wondered if he felt any fear at all.

"I ate the devil fruit, Bara Bara no mi and I can split freely into pieces" Buggy boasted about his superpower to scare away the boy. Although the boy in front of him was surprised to witness his form but there wasn't a tinge of fear in his body form which only further agitated him to take him lightly.

"Yeah? So?" Rei throwed an uninterested look at him when he boasted about his power to split into pieces. He got into the fighting position and replied with a grin, "It doesn't matter the number of pieces you split into, the strength level of yours is still pathetic"

"You brat!" Buggy attacked at the boy in front of him from multiple directions, leaving no space for him to counter his attacks. Rei began to move his arms in a certain motion and moved it so fast and dispersed each one of the attacks from his opponent, surprising everyone around him.

"This is unbelievable. It's as if he has multiple limbs" commented Nami while looking at Rei, who was fighting with Buggy's all parts at the same time with an ease, but she realized there was a miss, the one of his hands was missing while they were fighting with each other. Her gaze landed upon the cut off arm, behind Rei's foot and she was about to warn him, but Buggy was already upto attacking him from behind, while having a sick smile on his face.

"Using a underhanded move like this? Just how low you can get" said Rei in a disappointed tone while holding the hand of Buggy, catching his sneak attack in midair. Gripping it tightly under his grip, caused his opponent to scream in pain and he retracted back all of his parts in the next moment, catching Rei by surprise. Releasing the arm from his possession, clown faced man was back to his complete self.

'This is the perfect moment!' Rei wasted no time and grabbed him by the face and delivered a powerful electric shock under the surprised gazes of everyone.

*Zapppppppppppp!*

The clown faced man dropped down to the floor with black smoke coming out of his body and opened mouth with wide eyes. The straw hat boy begin to laugh loudly and clapping for Rei thinking that he is going to add him in his crew. On the other hand, Nami was shuddering in fear to see him kill the pirate with an electric shock. There wasn't even a pity in the eyes of Rei while he was looking down at the unconscious form of clown man on the ground.

"Did you kill him?!" Nami walked up to Rei, who was dusting off his clothes and checking whether his drip was ruined during the scuffle earlier with pirates. She was amazed by his raw strength and speed that he used to defeat pirates and now the electric powers, she was getting curious about what more secrets he is holding within himself.

Meanwhile Rei was wondering how long it will take for Buggy to wake up. Usually when he delivers an electric shock to the stray devils, they receive quite a heavy damage. But the man in front of him was not only to survive it and fell unconscious. 'I can't believe that he isn't hurt to the extent that I thought he would be. What kind of skin does this man have?' Getting up from the ground, he left a small spark in the corner of his head without anyone noticing.

"No he is not dead. Just passed out" replied Rei turning to the fellow chat member. His gaze landed upon the smiling straw hat boy who complimented him for his strength. Rei was surprised to see the protagonist in a different appearance than one he saw in anime and manga. Although he had seen the characters from the anime in DxD world, but seeing them face to face was a whole another experience for him.

"H-he is al-ive?" Nami pointed at Buggy who was starting to get up from the ground while struggling to get up from the ground. The paralyzing effect that the electric shock left on him was restricting any kind of movement in his body. Seeing this, Rei looked behind him and noticed that him and Nami were standing on the edge.

Nami looked at Rei and realized what he was trying to do next and she shook her head in denial to stop him. But Rei being Rei, just laughed at her and adding fuel to her fear under the surprised gazes of everyone.

"We're going to jump!" Rei grabbed the arm of Nami and jumped down into the streets with a big smile on his face, ignoring the screams of girl in his grip. At the last moment, before they could make an impact with the ground, using his electric powers around his legs, he reduced the force of impact by exchanging it with electiricity around his legs. He dragged her away with him far away from where they jumped.

"Hey get me out of here!" The scream of help from the straw hat boy were ignored by everyone and he started to bite the bars of cage, to get free by himself. On the other hand, Clown faced pirate was unconscious once again as he felt a electric shock in his head, as he used all his strength to get up to chase after them.

'He will be probably out for a day and as for Luffy, Zoro will be there any moment. It's unfortunate that I didn't get to see him, but we will be meeting sooner or later anyways' Rei pulled the girl into one of the abandoned house and locked it from inside. Finally releasing Nami from his grip, he sat down on one of the chairs and picked up the tangerine from basket on table. Seeing him sit down, she also sat down beside him and pick one of the tangerines to fill her empty stomach.

'Just what is he? He beat all of those grown up pirates with bare hands and more importantly, how did he brought that electricity in hands? No human could do such a thing, perhaps it's because of the sword that he pulls out of nowhere. Itadori did get an electric shock earlier from touching it' Nami was going through every single possibility in her head to make sense out of the situation that she witnessed earlier. While she was going through the inner conflict in her head, she didn't realize that she had her gaze fixed on him all this time.

"Can you stop glaring at me? It's making me uncomfortable" Rei retorted when he could no longer stand the gaze of girl beside him. He is usually unresponsive of people staring at him in classroom, but since only two of them were there, he was getting annoyed by it.

Nami slammed her hand and asked in a loud tone, "What are you? First you brought a sword out of thin air and then electricity out of your hands. Just what's going on here..."

"Well it's a superpower that I'm blessed with from birth. The sword, electric powers are just part of each other and to know about them in more detail, I suggest you to wait until I kick the ass of Arlong and his men" replied Rei putting the tangerine piece in his mouth.

'He is so confident about his powers, that he doesn't even doubt that he can lose to Arlong. Is it really a confidence or overconfidence in his words that I'm getting' Nami decided to ask since she didn't want to bottle up her doubts in her head, "Do you even know how strong Arlong is? He has the highest bounty in east blue and you're saying that you will be able to defeat someone like him. Aren't you afraid of facing him even one bit?"

Rei finished the last piece of tangerine and looked at Nami with a grin, "Not at all! I am rather excited to fight the person you fear so much. After I beat him, you will be free from this big trouble that you're suffering from"

"Why are you so excited to save me from him? It's because of the quest and rewards, right?" Nami looked at him with a knowing smirk since she knew that everyone in the chat group had only one intention in their head to defeat Arlong, which was to get the rewards from this quest. She wasn't mad at them for their reason, because she wasn't someone they would be putting their lives on risk for, afterall they were strangers to each other. But the response of Rei shattered all of her misconceptions that she was having in her head.

"No, it's because I want to save you from him" replied Rei looking straight into her eyes with a firm gaze, causing her to blush a little from his sudden proclamation. His face was a bit closer, but she didn't mind it all and he continued to speak what he felt about all this, "I don't know what bullshit he put you through and what scars he left on you, but I want to be of some kind to help to you and your people, who are going through hell. The reign of Arlong is coming to an end pretty soon. Just you wait and watch"

'Does he really meant it what he saying? From his expression, it doesn't look like that he is lying to me and even earlier at the rooftop, he saved me from the pirate who tried to shoot at me' Nami couldn't help but clench her fist in finally finding a hope to end her misery. The boy in front of him was not only willing to help her, but he also saved his life twice from the pirate, that she hates the most. She turned her head to him and saw no sign of him beside her. From behind, she felt weights on her both shoulders and a voice came, "Come on. We need to get back, others will be waiting for us at the dock"

Rei walked out of the house and stretching his arms in the air, he noticed that Nami was standing beside him silently. He was surprised to see her so calm all of a sudden, after seeing her scream at him and others, it was getting weird to see her behave in this way.

"Let's head to your village before that clown and his goons show up" Rei was about to walk in the direction of the dock, but he was stopped in his tracks by Nami, who had an annoyed expression on her face with hands on the waist. He looked at her confusingly wondering why she stopped him all of a sudden.

"Are you crazy?!" Nami screamed at him and pointed at the drinking pub, from where they just escaped earlier together. She grabbed her arm and pulled him towards the location of clown faced pirate, "I am not leaving this town until I steal the treasure from him. So follow me to his base and help me get it"

'Sigh! Peace was never an option' Rei was about to leave with her and other members of the group to her village, while Buggy was still passed out. But his plans were shattered, when the girl dragged him to get some money for her.
