XG : THE RAMPAGE

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Desperate Search

Misuki, now alone and lost in the city, feels helpless. She has lost all her belongings, including the address that would lead her to Xhazam. With no other options, she decides to visit the nearby police station to register a complaint, hoping to find any clue about her husband's whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Pedro visits Mithi's barbershop for a shave. While Xhazam, the barber, is giving him a shave, Pedro receives a call from one of his officers. The officer tells Pedro about a lady who came to the city for the first time, having lost everything, and was searching for her husband. Pedro, curious, asks if she's beautiful. The officer confirms she is. Pedro bites his lips with a lustful expression, ordering the officer to keep an eye on her until he arrives.

Pedro then urges Xhazam to finish the shave quickly. Xhazam clenches his fists, his mind racing, wondering about the woman who might be in Pedro's grasp. Little does he know, this woman is Misuki, his own wife, coming to surprise him with a visit.

Pedro leaves the shop and heads to the police station, where he finds Misuki. He approaches her under the guise of kindness, asking if she has anywhere to stay. Misuki, in tears, explains her situation. Seeing an opportunity, Pedro offers her a place to stay, claiming his wife is at home. Despite her reluctance, Misuki, grateful for his offer, agrees to go with him.

Misuki entered Pedro's house, expecting to meet his wife, but there was no one in sight. She hesitated, feeling something was off, and asked, "Where is your wife?"

Pedro stood in the doorway with an evil smile. His expression sent a chill down Misuki's spine. She could feel the danger in the air. "She's not here," Pedro replied calmly. "But why don't you stay the night? You must be tired after your long search."

Misuki felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. She took a step back, her voice trembling slightly as she said, "I'll manage. I'll find a hotel or somewhere to stay." But Pedro stepped forward, blocking her path.

"Where will you go now?" Pedro's voice was cold, almost mocking. His smile never wavered as he moved closer, every step making her heart race.

Misuki tried to move past him, but in an instant, Pedro was in front of her, his speed unnatural, almost as if he had teleported. She froze, her mind struggling to comprehend the impossibility of what just happened. How could a human move like that? Panic gripped her as the realization dawned on her—Pedro was no ordinary man.

She turned to flee toward the door, but before she could even make it halfway, Pedro was there again, blocking her way, his eyes burning with malice.

Her heart pounded as she instinctively prepared herself. Her father had taught her martial arts—an ancient style of defense that had been passed down through generations. She quickly assumed her fighting stance, her body moving fluidly as she tried to strike at Pedro. Every blow, every kick, was meant to defend herself from the monster in front of her.

But Pedro barely flinched. His body seemed impervious to her strikes, like a force of nature she could not overcome. She tried again, faster and with more precision, but he simply smirked, dodging effortlessly as if her every move was nothing more than an inconvenience.

Misuki's breath came in short bursts, her body exhausted but her resolve unshaken. She was not going down without a fight. But no matter how much she tried, Pedro seemed invincible. He was something more—something beyond human.

Desperation and fear gripped her as Pedro advanced, closing the distance between them. She tried to push him back, but his strength was overwhelming, his touch like ice as he grabbed her, his intentions clear. Her heart raced in terror, her mind a whirl of confusion and dread.

"Are you even human?" Misuki gasped, her voice trembling with fear and disbelief.

Pedro smiled wickedly, his eyes glinting with an unsettling amusement. "Yes, I am indeed."

Misuki's mind reeled. The question echoed in her thoughts. What is he? The fear grew stronger, realization settling in her gut. Pedro wasn't human. She was dealing with something inhuman, something monstrous.

Her attempts to break free became more frantic. She launched another series of martial arts strikes, using all her knowledge, but it was clear Pedro wasn't fazed by her efforts. He was a wall of unstoppable power, too much for her to handle.

Pedro moved in closer, each step a reminder that she could not escape him. She felt the weight of the situation sink in—she couldn't run. She couldn't fight him. Pedro was a monster, and she was powerless.

As he began tearing at her clothes, her mind raced. She loved Xhazam, and the thought of him filled her with both grief and love. She couldn't let this monster take her. In her final moments, she made the only choice she could. She bit down on her tongue, the sharp pain coursing through her as life began to slip away.

Her final thoughts were of Xhazam—her love, her regret, and the wish she could have been with him. I'm sorry, my love. I couldn't be with you.

Pedro stood over her lifeless body, rage and frustration burning in his eyes. His anger boiled over as he threw her body onto the street like a discarded rag.

"Some people robbed her and killed her," he told the nearby onlookers, his voice cold and emotionless, a lie he didn't care to explain further.

Two days later, Xhazam's parents called him, excited. "How do you like the surprise?" they asked. "Are you happy with Misuki?"

Xhazam's voice faltered. "What do you mean? When did Misuki come?"

The question lingered in the air, unanswered, as Xhazam's heart sank into a pit of dread.
