" Uhh Athena? Athena?." Vera called out Athena awkwardly.

"Huh?." Athena questioned still sleeping.

" You're drooling on my breast Athena." Vera replied hurriedly.

" Hu- oh I'm sorry you're breast are soft by the way." Athena quickly realized and got up and tried to break the ice by throwing out a joke.

" Well it's alright. Though we should be going the hall is almost clearing out." Vera said while looking around. It was true what she said as the hall was almost cleared out there hardly girls anymore.

" Let's go you're staying in my room right?." Athena inquired from vera.

" Yes." Vera answered.

Athena was grateful to hear that she didn't want to be alone considering how everything is going so fast she needed external advice and comfort. Vera fitted very much for that post.

The duo left the hall and went straight to Athena's room. The maids didn't come back since they had already done their night routine.

" Vera is this really real?we are actually doing this?." Athena found it hard to embrace reality, she found it hard to face the fact that her life was being written by someone else. She found it hard to realize that she didn't have a choice. Which in reality she always had a choice but, everything was just moving so fast. She felt as though she wasn't in control of her life.

" I know you are having a hard time to accept it but it is the truth Athena. This is what our lives has became. We aren't doing this because we want to do it but because we have to do it." Vera said understanding her friend. She knew that her friend was not having it and so was she. But alas it was already going to become with or without their consent.

Athena felt like she was a puppet and there was a pupetter, pulling the strings, and she the puppet had no choice but to comply.

" There are lot of what ifs to this . It isn't the arranged marriage bothering me it is the person we are going to arranged to. What if the person turns out to be a beater Vera what will we do?. Sure the government gives women respect but these are the high princes we are talking about it surely would be swept under the rug ve-." Athena talked very fast. The words just pouring out like a running tap.

" Athena breath? It's going to be fine. ." Vera tried consoling Athena. She felt for her friend. Athena wasn't really bothered about this marriage it was there a little but she knew Athena was mainly bothered losing control in her life. Athena didn't panic a lot and always had everything under control but when she losed control, it would wreck her. She knew her friend didn't like losing control. She knew her friend liked when everything was smooth in her life and went according to her plan. But,this so called marriage pairing stuff wrecked all her plans. That's why Athena was finding hard to through this.

"I understand you Athena and I am happy you told me. I am happy you opened up yo me." Vera said with a tone of appreciation. She was happy that her friend opened up to her as her friend found it hard to trust people. All the years she had been friends with Athena, she noticed that Athena always shut people out. She was the lone wolf. Being a friend of Athena was like a flex considering she was so selective of the people see let in her inner circle.

" Ok. I'm sorry for just trauma dumping on you. I've just been holding it in. Thank you for listening." Athena said with appreciation. She was thankful for having a friend like Vera. Vera is like that light that everyone needs to brighten up their darkness was in a while. She was happy that Vera still stuck to her despite how many times she pushed her away.

" Anyways that aside. I had a few conversations with some girls. Please tell me that you didn't ignore all the people that approached you." Vera asked her antisocial friend.

" No one approached me."

" Why?."

" I glared them all away." Athena said in a matter of fact tone.

" Oh Athena I've told you to stop scowling. You need to have a more approachable face Athena. You heard what Madame said."

" Yeah yeah. Smile often no one is here wants to see an ugly face." Athena responded to vera while imitating her ( Madame) expression.

" Oh gracious you have issues Athena."

" I know. "
