I think I do know this person Athena thought with seriousness. But before she could examine this said person she didn't see anyone anymore. It was as if the person wasn't there in the first place. As she wondered where she saw the person she realized It was time for everyone to introduce themselves. They were 50 ( fifty) in number. Though are you guys for real 50 (fifty) women for just five ( 5) princes because they were what? Like the Greek gods;Zeus Poseidon and,Hades?.Ugh. So it was going to take quite some time. Athena thought.

The girls all stood up when it was their turn and she observed that each kingdom produced 2-4 girls depending on their population, level, and contributions to the royal court.

Then someone stood up to introduce herself and she heard the person refer to herself as vera. Vera! She's here my goodness wait really? What am I in? The 1800s?. But still vera's here. At least I'm not alone. She saw as her red head ocean blue eyed friend introduced herself and sat down. She always admired her friend as she had a beauty that made people question themselves.

She found out that 3 ( three) girls were chosen from calmaria she, Vera and a silver haired sapphire eyed girl named Astrid. When she saw Astrid she almost fell off her seat. It was like an angel was in their midst she was so....angelic. If not for her fangs one would think she was a fae. Though those sapphire eyes didn't shine they were dull. She looked like she didn't want to be here that I would hold because so do I but it looked more than that. It looked like those eyes were hiding something.

The event went on in a full swing. Girls chatting, songs playing, good food being eaten. Things were going smooth. Athena decided to stay on her on but later got to carried away and slept on the couch.

" Really girl you're sleeping here too." Athena heard that judgemental tone and didn't need a soothsayer to tell her who it was.

" It's not my fault I wa- wait how do I look."

Athena demanded from vera.

" Your hair is in your mouth, your eyes are a little puffy oh is that drool on your chin? How long have you been sleeping Athena?." Vera questioned as she looked at her friend. Though she wasn't surprised because this isn't the first time Athena had slept off in an important event.

" Girl free me it's not my fault." Athena justified while fixing herself with the mirror that she kept in her gown pocket.

Vera rolled her eyes at Athena's nonchalant comment.

" How was your travel I know everything must have been a shock to you. So it was for me. I couldn't pass on the opportunity due to the advantage it would give and how it would help my parents. Sure my parents are Baron and Baroness but we don't really get a lot of respect from the people. Getting married to one of the high princes? It would change everything Athena." Vera said. What vera said was true actually though they were comfortable they didn't get much respect. Even though they weren't commoners. In the vampire realm real respect is given to dukes, duchesses, viscounts, viscountesses, princes, princesses, kings qnd queens. It was also given to commoners that were rich.

"Well I get where you're going at though I thought you were planning on getting married to Lucian." Athena knew her best friend had eyes for a student in their school even though she didn't admit it.

" But he's a commoner Athena if I had dared to tell my father you would have seen me being crucified. Well it's fine because we didn't do anything with eachother so it would have been had to leave him. I can't say same for you about crushing on a boy due to you having a heart of stone." Vera tried clearing the pity in the air by adding a sarcastic comment. Even though Athena understood where vera was going as Lucian wasn't only a commoner but a struggling one. If he came from a rich family, perhaps vera's father would have reconsidered but since Lucian wasn't doing well that much it would be like Lucian was an extra mouth to feed.

" I'm not heartless I'm just.... I don't know not interested in anyone." Well sometimes Athena had always thought of this because she had never caught herself crushing on a boy though,she admired their beauty she still never got to a point of liking a boy.

" Well maybe you haven't found someone you like because there's no possible way that you're asexual or something." Vera said with confidence.

" If you think so oh vera the party is about to end and all would you like to come over to my room I don't want to be lonely. Madame didn't say in the rules that it's prohibited to do sleep overs she just said no noise." Athena suggested while silently praying for vera to agree to her suggestion. She didn't really want to be alone she wanted someone she trusted to be with her. She was seeking external love.

" Okay Athena we can go bu-." Vera was about to complete her sentence but was interrupted.

" Sorry for interrupting vera but did you see the girl that also came from calmaria?. Astrid?. Athena apologized before enquiring from her friend.

" Yeah I did she looks sad tho. I tried talking to her but she didn't budge so I left her." Vera said with a sort of nonchalant tone.

" Do you think we should go talk to her?, I feel sorry for her. Perhaps she needs comfort." Athena suggested to her friend.

" Woah Athena since when did you start caring about people." Vera said in surprise. Because while growing up Athena was a loner wolf. She was always so serious. Always so mature. She always minded her business. Also Athena didn't take shit from anyone and though she gave off strict vibes. Underneath that wall Athena was down to earth, loving and authentic.

The party had ended though there were still a few girls in the hall most had left to go get some sleep which had been lost and Athena and vera where in that ship. Vera just followed Athena straight to her room and layed down and sleep eventually caught the duo.
