Vampire Secret Agreement

Chapter 14: 14. Rival

Odel, who had started to make friends in class, made her three fiancés feel left out. Especially when a male student named Adrian appeared to be talking closely with Odel. Clayton, who had been watching from a distance, immediately approached and grabbed Odel's hand.

'Odel, darling! Let's go home!' he said.

Adrian and Odel looked at Clayton with surprised expressions. Adrian, the new guy, even looked at Clayton with a hint of disdain.

'What about you, Odel? Are you going to the library?' Adrian asked, making sure.

'Yes, of course. Sorry Clayton, I'm going to the library. We need to discuss a group assignment,' Odel replied while trying to free her hand from Clayton's grasp.

'Library?'

'Yes! Are you going there too? Do you like reading books?' Adrian asked with an intimidating look.

Odel was slightly surprised by Adrian's attitude. The senior seemed calm and had an aura almost similar to Clayton's, who was used to getting his way.

'"Oh my god! Enough! I'm leaving first!"! You guys can follow if you want!' Odel said, walking ahead.

Adrian tried to follow, but Clayton stopped him.

'Odel is mine!' Clayton said.

With a sarcastic smile, Adrian responded, 'What, do you want to turn her into a doll and keep her in your pocket?'

'You! I'm her fiancé! Never try to get close to her!' Clayton threatened.

'Possessive guy, I wonder if Odel loves you. Ah, forget it! Take your hand off me, Odel is waiting for me!' Adrian said, brushing off Clayton's hand.

Clayton looked annoyed, but since they were in a hallway with many students passing by, the vampire man couldn't do much. Adrian walked calmly, quickening his pace to catch up with Odel.

The other two fiancés, who had also been watching, immediately approached and asked, 'What happened?' Daffin asked.

'That guy needs to be removed! I'll bite him tonight!' Clayton said, clearly upset.

'Yeah, just suck his blood!' Daffin responded, making things worse.

'That means Clayton will be disqualified, and only two competitors will be left,' Emillio said innocently.

'Why did you say that? Let Clayton bite him!' Daffin whispered, feeling Emillio was too blunt.

Clayton glanced at Daffin, clearly understanding that Daffin wanted to get rid of both of his rivals at once.

'Daffin!' Clayton called.

'I'm going to the library! I won't let my Odel be alone with a strange guy!' Daffin responded, then ran off.

At the library, the atmosphere suddenly changed. The arrival of three handsome men at once made several female students there start whispering. Some tried to steal glances from behind the bookshelves, while others openly stared at them with sparkling faces.

'Look at them! Isn't that Clayton Doyle, Emillio Doyle, and Daffin Doyle?' whispered a student, hitting her friend's arm.

'What are they doing here? What are they up to?'

'Let's go see!' urged another friend.

'Oh my gosh! They're going to Odel!'

'Who's Odel?'

'I heard those three guys are her fiancés!'

'Are you crazy?'

'They might be brothers,' guessed another girl.

'But Odel is sitting with Adrian. Oh my gosh, why is that girl surrounded by so many guys?'

'Wow, this looks interesting! I want to peek!'

'Hey! Why are you all gathered and gossiping? This is a library! Go to your own tables!' the librarian ordered, realizing that the visitors were getting noisy because of the arrival of these handsome students."

Meanwhile, Odel, who was sitting with Adrian, felt uncomfortable. She could feel the sharp gazes of her three fiancés who had just arrived. Adrian, noticing the tension, put down his pen and casually glanced at them.

"Clayton, Daffin, Emillio..." Odel murmured as they approached.

Confidently, Daffin pulled out a chair and sat next to Odel. "My Odel! Why did you leave me? If you needed help, you could have relied on me!" Daffin said.

"But..."

"But what? Do you doubt my genius for this assignment?" asked Daffin.

"That's not it, Daffin! The thing is, we're in different groups. I'm in a group with Fiona and Adrian. And you? Why do you want to help me?" Odel asked in confusion.

Emillio also sat down, smiling warmly at Adrian. "Oh, so this is Adrian? Nice to meet you. I'm Emillio Doyle."

Daffin wasn't about to be left out. "And I'm Daffin Doyle. We're Odel's fiancés."

Clayton, who had been standing with his arms crossed, finally grabbed a chair and sat across from Adrian. His face was full of tension that he couldn't hide. Without saying a word, he just sat there with his arms folded.

"Odel, so you have three fiancés? Amazing!" Adrian teased with a sarcastic smile.

"Don't listen to them, they're all my nephews, they're always like this," Odel replied with a sigh.

Adrian just nodded slightly, trying to maintain politeness. "I'm Adrian, we're working on our group assignment. Do you guys want to copy our work?" he asked with a condescending look.

"Copy? Us? Of course not!" Daffin immediately retorted, offended.

"Then why don't you use the empty table over there to discuss your assignment?" Adrian asked.

Clayton immediately looked like he wanted to retort, but Odel quickly interrupted. "Adrian, they just want to make sure I'm okay. They'll move soon and work on their own assignment," she said.

Odel stood up immediately and walked to the adjacent table, waving to her three fiancés.

"You guys come here!"

"Yes, Odel!" Daffin replied quickly.

Emillio and Clayton followed, but Clayton's eyes were still glaring at Adrian with a threatening look.

Once the three of them gathered at one table, Odel immediately whispered.

"You guys stay here and don't dare copy my group's assignment!" Odel threatened.

"Hey, we don't care about the assignment! We just don't like you being close to another guy!" Emillio explained.

"He's just my friend, don't embarrass me by doing this! There are no three fiancés in human rule. You'll just be laughed at. Stay quiet and pretend to be my nephews! Do you understand?" Odel said firmly.

"I don't care! You're my fiancée, and it will always be like that, you'll never just be a nephew!" Clayton retorted angrily.

"Oh really? Then are you ready to answer my question? What will happen to me if I became your wife? Will I...?" Odel fell silent, staring at Clayton with serious eyes.

"Oh no, that question again!" Clayton quickly grabbed a magazine on the table and covered his face with it.

"You can't answer me, Clayton! Huh, that's why, don't bother me! I want to study seriously, don't disturb me!" Odel said, which left no room for argument from her three fiancés.

The girl stood up, then returned to her table and resumed discussing the group assignment with Adrian. The three vampire men immediately glared at Odel with annoyed expressions. They didn't cause any more trouble or disturb Odel again. However, the entire time, they just sat there watching Odel and Adrian, as if they were watching a reality TV show.

"They're watching me like they want to hunt me down!" Adrian muttered.

"Sorry, I'm causing you trouble," Odel said.

"It's fine, you've got three possessive nephews! Are you sure they're not your fiancés?" Adrian whispered.

"Just ignore them," Odel replied.

"Yeah, yeah, but if they start scaring you or cornering you, you can ask for my help, Odel!" Adrian whispered again.

Odel looked at Adrian's face. The man seemed very calm, adjusting his glasses and writing something in his book.

"I'm done, let's continue tomorrow. Here's my number, keep it! Contact me if you want to escape from them!" Adrian said, handing over a piece of paper with his phone number on it.

"You?"

Adrian stood up, grabbed his bag, smiled, and left. Odel immediately tidied up her assignment papers and tucked Adrian's phone number at the very bottom. She felt that the man seemed to understand her situation, the situation where she was under pressure from the three vampire men who were forced to be her fiancés.
