"Just so you know, Jericho. I won't be holding back. I wanted to win and fight her."

"Is that so? I was thinking of holding back against you, you know… Because I am already destined to fight her after this."

"Tch! Cocky, huh? Then go ahead. Go easy on me. It will only make things easier for me."

Maneil said as she slowly cladded her whole body in a stream of water. The whirlpool then disappears, revealing the shining water armor on her body. Behind her, a gigantic water dragon is watching her enemy with pride and strength.

"On second thought, maybe I should teach you a little lesson. Only the strong can fight her."

Jericho took a stance and wings slowly formed behind her. After training for months, she has completely mastered her control over flight, and now she has six wings. One large set of wings in the middle, and two smaller sets above and below the largest set. Her flight speed has increased drastically thanks to those extra wings.

Meanwhile her whole body is cladded in light magic as a barely seen air force slowly covers her entire body, forming a battle armor out of wind and light. She has truly hone her light magic and wind magic, that it is insanely powerful now.

A brilliant white lance formed on her hand, leaking an extremely strong wind force.

The two fighters in the arena unleashed their greatest force, causing the ground to crack badly just from their pressure. The wind and pressure is throwing the spectators into a tantrum, but they are all hyped seeing that these two won't be holding back.

"Wooah!!! Those are some powerful techniques!! The first years are definitely powerful!!!!"

Even the battle addict female commentator had to praise Jericho and Maneil for their show of power, and the battle hasn't even started yet.

Seeing how Jericho and Maneil is unleashing their strength made Arfius feeling a little bit awkward. All the attention from the crowd has turned from him to the two girls next to his arena. It gets him quite annoyed.

"Without further ado, let's do the countdown! Three!! Two!!! One!!..."

Maneil and Jericho grinned while the countdown slowly reached zero. And the two deepen their stance, preparing for a dash forward.

"… Begin!!!!"

The match has begun.

Both Jericho and Maneil dashed forward at high speed, wielding their greatest weapons forward. Maneil and her water dragon, Jericho with her wind force and light lance.

Jericho slashed away her lance with a powerful force, splitting the whole water dragon in two. But, a water dragon is not a living thing. It's made out of water.

After being split, the water dragon then remerged again and ate Jericho whole. Having her whole body inside the water dragon made Jericho realize that the water dragon couldn't be slashed away, which means it has to be completely destroyed.

She quickly flew upwards using all of her force and burst through the dragon's thick skin. She flew ten meters above ground and gazed down at Maneil.

Knowing that the water dragon didn't even damage her opponent, Maneil lifted both of her hands and two giant circles made out of water formed on the ground. The circle grew bigger and bigger until it turned into a whirlpool, and then it transformed into two more water dragons.

Now, there are three water dragons flying upwards to eat Jericho.

Despite that, Jericho already knows what she has to do. She lifted her left hand and formed three small wind balls with an extremely powerful pressure each. She threw each of the wind balls towards the three water dragons, and it got drowned inside the dragon's mouths.

The wind explosion occurred inside the dragons, easily and completely eradicating them.

"W-What?!"

Maneil then leaped backwards as Jericho smashed the ground where she previously stood on using her foot by landing extremely fast. She then leaped and flew towards Maneil to chase her.

The two then got engaged in a fast paced close quarter combat. Maneil had conjured a water blade on her hands while Jericho used her lance to try and slash Maneil.

As they traded blows, they also shot away some powerful ranged attacks. As a result, the whole arena became devastated pretty quickly, despite the fact that the ground was made of high quality strong materials.

"Horyaa!!!"

"Haa!!!!"

The two screamed as they traded blows and attacks. Water bullets and vortexes went here and there while wind slashes and blades exploded on another spot. The two fought fearsomely and even had the spectators scared it might hurt them.

Jericho got thrown back from receiving Maneil's water vortex attack head on, but she managed to regain her balance. She leaped five meters up and smacked her lance at Maneil when she landed, but Maneil had her blade up and protected her from the smack.

The two are grinning at each other. They are enjoying this, neither of them wants to lose.

Maneil managed to push Jericho backwards. But before Jericho lands her feet, she shot away some wind boomerangs to the side. Maneil leaped back and rolled with her hands to dodge the wind boomerang attacks.

But by the time Maneil landed on her feet, a wind ball already made its way towards her.

FWOOSHH!!!

"Kugh!!"

Maneil got thrown backwards from parrying the wind explosion force head on with her blade. And before she was able to regain her focus, the same wind boomerangs as before made its way towards her.

BAKK!!!

The boomerang smacked her in the face and threw her to the left. She quickly tries to stand back up, but Jericho is already dashing towards her at high speed.

The two are only five meters away from each other when Maneil casted a water vortex between them, throwing Jericho backwards.

And now, the two of them are slowly getting up from the ground while glaring at each other.

They already lost quite a lot of magic energy, but the battle is far from ending. They continued their barrage of close quarter combat, with a few extras of ranged attacks.

"Wooahh!!!"

"Bro, this might be the most intense battle of all!"

"Class E top students are insane!!"

The crowd went wild from watching Jericho and Maneil battled. The two are known to be the top students from class E, which means they are considered the pros among pros. And right now, they are showing it to everyone what it means to be at the top of class E.

Jericho took a step back and shot more boomerangs at Maneil, but she had learned how the boomerang works, so her only choice was to destroy it. Using her water blade, she slashed away the wind boomerangs and it dissipated.

Jericho then continued her attack with shooting some explosive wind blades, and Maneil covered herself on her own water dragon. The barrage of wind blades stabbed the water dragon and exploded, but Maneil was no longer inside the water dragon. 

She had stepped backwards right before the wind blades exploded, and from behind, she shot a basketball sized water bullet at Jericho.

Seeing the water bullet coming at her from behind the waves, Jericho quickly dodged to the side, only to find herself stepping on a small pond of water.

"Gotcha."

ZRRRGGG!!!!!

Maneil raised her hands and the water on Jericho's foot rose and tied itself on the feet. Jericho tried moving her foot, but the water slithering her foot was powerful. She used some wind magic to attack the water and escaped, but she injured herself in the process.

"Wow. Some masochists, you are..."

"You aren't the only cunning one."

Maneil looked confused, but she immediately realized. On her foot, a single wind blade was being washed away calmly by the wave of water next to her shoes. Maneil can only watch as the wind blade exploded and threw her backwards.

FWOOOSHHH!!!!!

The armour on her foot was ripped off, and her skin is showing from knees down. That explosion surely damaged her foot quite badly, because it bleeds a little.

"Damn it!!"

"There's more where that came from!"

Jericho shouted as she threw more wind blades to the air. She mixed some with a wind ball as she threw it. Maneil lifted a giant wave of water to capture the wind explosives while she herself tried to get away.

VWOOOMM!!!!

FWOOOSSHHHH!!!!!

Some of the wind explosives managed to explode while being inside the wall of water, while the rest kept its form and got thrown everywhere due to the explosion's force.

One of them managed to reach Maneil, and Jericho quickly snapped her fingers.

"It's over."

FLICK!

VWOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

A wind explosion occurred right behind Maneil, only twenty centimetres away from her back. The explosion threw her all the way to the wall, where she crashed and formed a crater.

But despite the crash and the explosion, she can still move.

She pulled herself out of the crater and tried making her way back to the arena. But she lost too much energy already, and the damage on her back is already quite bad. She fell powerlessly on the floor, but she continued with pulling the ground so that she could get back to the arena.

She couldn't accept that she had lost.

"Winner, Jericho!!"
