Trio’s Journey: Second Chance

Chapter 2: Chapter One

{Chapter One}

"Arrival"

Slowly, Kyosuke's eyes fluttered open, the sunlight streaming through the window casting a warm glow across the room

His mind was hazy at first, but clarity returned quickly as he bolted upright

He took a moment to survey his surroundings

The room was modest — a small bed, a wooden desk, and a wardrobe in the corner. It wasn't familiar, yet it didn't feel foreign either

Kyosuke instinctively looked down at his hands, turning them over before rushing toward the small mirror on the wall

His reflection left him stunned

"It actually worked…" Kyosuke thought, his heart racing

He studied his new features. His crimson hair, a vibrant shade of red, framed his face, making his sea-green eyes stand out even more vividly

His youthful face was unmistakably that of a eight-year-old, but there was a strength in his gaze that belied his age

"We're… Uzumaki," he murmured softly, running a hand through his striking red hair

Before he could process any further, the sound of a door creaking open pulled him from his thoughts

Kyosuke turned toward the source of the noise, his curiosity piqued

He approached his door cautiously and opened it, stepping into what appeared to be a shared living space

Standing in the hallway were two other children, both his age, and both unmistakably familiar

One boy had the same vivid red hair, but his eyes were a deep violet-blue that shimmered in the light

The other had equally vibrant hair, paired with piercing blue eyes

The three of them froze, their gazes locking as realization dawned

"Kenji?" Kyosuke ventured, his voice uncertain but hopeful

The boy with violet-blue eyes blinked before his expression shifted into one of shock

"Kyosuke? Is that you?" Kenji said slightly shocked

"And Shin?" Kyosuke asked, turning to the boy with blue eyes

The third boy nodded, his expression mirroring their disbelief

"It's me… Shin." Shin said, confirming his suspicion

For a moment, none of them spoke, the reality of their situation sinking in

Then, all at once, they began talking over one another

"Is this really happening?"

"We're actually here?"

"Wait, we're kids now?!"

Their voices overlapped in a cacophony of disbelief and excitement until a sudden wave of information flooded their minds

They staggered slightly as visions and memories not their own filled their heads

Scenes of the Naruto universe — the Hidden Leaf Village, the Hokage Monument, the Academy — flashed before their eyes

They suddenly knew exactly where they were and when

"We're in the academy arc," Kyosuke muttered, his voice steady despite the whirlwind in his mind

Kenji groaned, rubbing his temples

"This… this is insane. But I guess it makes sense. We're supposed to start from the bottom, right?" Kenji said

Shin nodded, a serious expression settling over his face

"Yeah, but if we're here… where's Aris?" Shin asked

As if summoned, a familiar light appeared before them, and the radiant form of Aris materialized

The trio stared in awe as the goddess smiled warmly at them

"It seems you've begun to adjust, I wanted to see you one last time before your journey truly begins." She said, her melodic voice filling the room

Kyosuke stepped forward, his expression firm

"Aris… what did you do to us?" Kyosuke asked, slight confused with their change of appearance

"I gave you what I promised, you have been reborn as Uzumaki, inheriting their bloodline. In addition, I have enhanced your genetics to grant you greater potential. You will grow stronger than most, but the path ahead will not be easy. You must work hard to realize your potential." Aris replied

Kenji raised an eyebrow

"So, we're Uzumaki now? Like… actual brothers?" Kenji asked

Aris nodded

"In this life, you are brothers by blood. You share the same lineage, the same home, and the same bond that you carried from your previous lives. I hope this will give you strength as you navigate your new world." Aris said

The trio exchanged glances, a mixture of gratitude and determination in their eyes

Aris's form began to shimmer, signaling her departure

"This is my final farewell. Live well, Kyosuke, Kenji, and Shin. Or rather, Kyosuke Uzumaki, Kenji Uzumaki, and Shin Uzumaki. The future is yours to shape." Aris said before she fully shimmered into particles

With that, she vanished, leaving the three boys alone once more

The room was silent for a moment

"We need to figure out our next steps." Kyosuke spoke, his voice calm yet resolute

Kenji crossed his arms

"We know where we are in the timeline, so that's a start. But we're just kids right now. What do we do?" Kenji asked

Shin leaned against the wall, his expression thoughtful

"We should focus on the basics. Get into the Academy, see where we stand, and build from there." Shin suggested

Kyosuke nodded in agreement

"Exactly. We need to understand our strengths and weaknesses before we start making any big moves. The Academy will be our first step toward understanding this world— and ourselves." Kyosuke said

Kenji smirked

"Leave it to Kyosuke to come up with a plan. You're always the thinker." Kenji complimented

"Strategist," Shin corrected with a small grin

Kyosuke rolled his eyes, a faint smile tugging at his lips

"Call it whatever you want, but we need to stick together and make the most of this chance. Agreed?" Kyosuke said, his eyes filled with compassion

"Agreed," Kenji and Shin said in unison

With that, their new lives began

No longer Kyosuke Ishikawa, Kenji Nakamura, or Shin Nishida, the trio had fully embraced their new identities as Kyosuke Uzumaki, Kenji Uzumaki, and Shin Uzumaki

Brothers by blood, bound by fate, and united by purpose, they set out to carve their path in the world of shinobi
