Toman's Black Cat

When he snapped his fingers, they were gone and Hakkai was still waiting for me to get on his bike. I stood there shakily as I ran through everything I had just witnessed. The whole situation was so overwhelming, it was hard to even speak.

"You don't have to ride with me if you don't want to. You can ride with…" Hakkai's words yanked me out of my internal reasoning and quickly opposed the idea.

"No, I wouldn't mind riding with you." With that, I quickly jumped behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. I felt him jump at the sensation, and I couldn't help but smile a little. "Sorry, Hakkai. I'll let up on my grip." Before I could do so, he frantically shook his head and took off before I had the chance to readjust.

I smiled softly, leaning against his back as the wind blew through my hair.

I thought he really hated me. I understood why he felt the way he did and said what he did. It still hurt.

It always hurts.

It hurt when Mikey left me. When Yamagishi left me. When Chifuyu left me.

I tightened my grip around Hakkai as I fought back tears at a red light.

"You okay?" He didn't turn to look at me as he asked and I knew it had to be uncomfortable for him to be this close to a girl who isn't Yuzuha.

"I didn't mean to…"

"I asked if you're okay. Don't worry about me." His interruption was so unexpected, but just what I needed. I gave a nod.

"I will be much better when this fight is over."

Once we made it to the Shrine, I stood to the side as Takemitchy made his announcement, close enough to be heard and to hear everything said. It was difficult to stand still and be quiet when the other gang members declared they weren't willing to follow Takemitchy. I knew in my soul how much of a difference that would make.

Takemitchy is strong of heart, but if he goes in alone….

My mind immediately went to Hinata.

I refuse to let that happen.

I saw Chifuyu smile at Takemitchy. "Guess we'll make this a double suicide then.

"Chifu!" The words came out of my mouth without even trying to stop them. "You think that would be a good plan, dumbass?" I stomped up to face him. "You're Chifuyu freaking Matsuno, Vice freaking Captain of the 1st division of the Tokyo Manji Gang. SO, ACT LIKE IT AND KICK SOME ASS!"

"My Queen is right! We're going too!" I looked to see Yamagishi and the Mizo crew raise a fist in agreement. I couldn't help but beam at them as my heart swelled with joy.

I know so much is going to happen, but trying to remember exactly what is coming is like trying to look into a mist.

I have to stay strong.

I have to be strong.

Emma would want me to support the ones she loves no matter what. I miss you, M & M.

Takemitchy's POV

I can't believe I told Hina the truth. I can't believe she believed me. There's only one thing I regret right now.

Flashback

"Heroes stay and protect. That's what me and Y/n.." He could've smacked himself for mentioning her.

Telling Hina that someone is sort of like me but has to die each time to come back…she's already hurting, I don't need to make her cry more.

Takemitchy continued telling her he wouldn't give up. He is going to win and walked out with determination instead of fear.

Now

It was never my intention to even tell Hina, but I couldn't see her cry without hope. I won't give up.

Hina's POV

As she stood with Draken, looking over Mikey to see his heart was just gone, she couldn't think of what she could do to help. They were in no shape to go fight, but they needed to. Takemitchy needs them.

As she blurted out about Takemitchy, she felt the words of Takemitchy suddenly ringing in her mind about Y/n.

"Y/n is fighting, too. She's like Takemitchy!"

Mikey's POV

Mikey felt a myriad of emotions once again. Although he wasn't surprised, he figured more for Takemitchy than for Y/n.

Everything I did and she doesn't hate me. What do she and Mikey know that they keep trying so hard? Is that why they cry?
