The Roots of the Dragon Teeth Thieving Fairy! (Comdic Fairy Tale BL)

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Fairy Who Flew!

Tony Macaroni POV:

He was flying! Soaring in the sky! That shining light of mine was finally achieving his greatest dream!

I knew then why he loved what he loved. That obsession with him getting strong enough to fly looked like a dream from the heart of a pure and noble creature!

I knew then that I was going to love him to bits. Until my dying day. Even after that, if souls really exist!

But that is neither here nor there!

Because Mike was flying through the clouds! Going higher and higher!

He was going to hit a cloud! He was going to get so sick that I was going to have to nurse him to health!

Even as lovesick as I was, I still didn't think that it was a good opportunity!

No!

"Goblin Chief, please, help me bring Mike back down!" I was urgency itself.

The goblin just pulled out my system screen so, as if he were going to sell me something. Then, he pointed at a button.

"He is your henchman," he said with a grimace. "You can always just teleport him to you."

I didn't want Mike's trip to Sneezevile to end like this! What if he hated me!

"You can always promote him, you know?" The goblin asked, as he scrolled to a dropdown, so I could see that I could give Mike the status of a Partner.

"You can always do the right thing!" Amy chirped. Bless her soul, she was now in a small clean dress, which a goblin seamstress had made while Mike soared the skies.

"Yes, Anthony!" Bob was a man of few words, but that didn't mean that he was going to just let me continue to treat my own soulmate as a henchman, it seemed. "You owe it to the guy to recognize the marriage you dumped him in!"

"I must!" My finger wavered over the dropdown menu. But then, I bowed my head. "What if he leaves me?"

It was something said so silently that I wasn't even sure if the goblins and gnomes had heard it.

But they just shook their heads.

"What? If he leaves you, then you just need to respect it!" That coming from a goblin chief made me sober up.

I tried to remember why I loved Mike. Why I told him that I didn't like him to get him to smoke that fairy dust, even though I loved him more than I loved my life.

I took a deep breath, made him my partner, gave him a small prompt that he could come home.

Everything that was mine was now his.

But I didn't lay a hand on his stuff.

It just didn't feel right. Besides, he had so little, that it would be robbery of a pauper. Why was Mike so poor, I asked myself, time and time again, as I tried to call him back gently.

As gently as I knew how.

"I'm coming down, Tony Macaroni!" He yelled, as he hurled himself across the sky towards me! He was so fast! I couldn't even see him all that well!

"I'm coming down to you, buddy!" He yelled so, as if I hadn't placed him under so much stress, that he had been chewing up his lip.

I ran! I ran under him!

I wanted to catch him! To twirl him around! To kiss his lips silly and then tie him up and read to him! Ask him if I improved!

He landed next to me.

There I was, my arms opened wide, facing the sky. A dreamy smile on my face, my eyes growing colder with each second, he just stood there.

I thought back then, as all silly children do, that I wasn't enough. That was the reason why Mike didn't want to hug me.

But then…

"Hey," Mike took a hold of my hand and pulled me close. "Why?"

I was a coward. He still doesn't know why I loved him at the start, by the way, so no telling!

"Your wings are pretty!" It was the most original thing I could think of. Please — don't judge!

"Oh?"

He fluttered them. They looked like before, but I guess that one could make the argument that they were now sturdier.

In a darker color!

"Yes, now they are magical!" It was the wrong thing to say, but Mike was merciful. He shrugged, then he sprinkled me with fairy dust! Just like that.

"You do know what this dust is for, right?" Mike asked me. I shook my head. I honestly didn't know.

"It is for making babies. Now you're pregnant!" He said it all with a straight face!

How was I supposed to know that he was lying, the jerk that he was?

"If it's a girl," I was fifteen, he was a fairy, I honestly believed that it was going to work, somehow. "I think we should name her after Amy!"

He began to back away from me.

"And if it's a boy…"

"Holy shit!" The goblin chief yelled, stepping to stand before Mike. To defend his honor, or, I don't know, just to protect a fellow man from a nut-nut like me. "How do you think you'll get pregnant? You are a man!"

"Love will find a way!" I yelled at the top of my lungs! "Love always finds a way!"

The man shook his head once more, turning to Mike.

"You won't have an easy time with this one," he nodded at me so, as if I was supposed to have drunk some tea to calm myself but had forgotten. "But he did make you, his partner. So at least you will get a lot of loot."

"Partner?" Mike was sober now. Gone was the joy of the flight, or the terror of his joke backfiring on him.

He looked at me, making a step towards me.

"Really?" He asked. I nodded.

"And I sprinkled you with the dust for nothing," he said with a straight face. "It was supposed to make you stronger, so you'd leave me."

I shook my head. No! Mike was never getting away.

"If I'm not pregnant, then we'll adopt!" I demanded.

He fainted, man, I still smile over that.

Oh, look, he is back! Now, eat your chocolate-covered peanuts and pretend that I have been drinking the whole time!
