Chapter 157: Chapter 157: The Beginning State
Upon hearing Lin Qian's words, the expressions of the human chieftains revealed fear. They were all too familiar with the place he mentioned—a dense forest filled with dead trees. They knew exactly what each of those trees represented.
The undead, difficult to deal with and dangerous, were something even the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins avoided when the fog dissipated. They dared not enter that place.
"Don't worry, I have a plan," Lin Qian reassured the chieftains with a smile, signaling them to be at ease.
Reluctantly, the chieftains exchanged glances and decided to trust Lin Qian.
Lin Qian then dispatched Swift Soldiers to escort the human chieftains back to their respective tribes and informed them that the tribes would gather at the Liu Tribe. This tribe was centrally located among all the human tribes, ensuring the quickest assembly of the people.
After issuing these instructions, Lin Qian also tasked Shi Yun and Qin Xing with notifying their people to prepare for migration.
Once all these tasks were completed, the council hall was left with only Lin Qian.
A rectangular tactical mirror floated before him, its previously dull surface beginning to glow faintly.
Outside the small world, atop the five battleships hovering over the Wanjing Sect, Ye Xin stood at the forefront of the deck, gazing anxiously at the blood-stained gates of the Wanjing Sect. Her eyes were filled with worry.
"Xiao Qian..." Ye Xin clasped her delicate hands tightly against her chest, her heart unable to find peace. The thought of him facing such dangers alone terrified her, and she feared he might never return.
They had finally reunited, and the troubles that had once entangled Lin Qian had vanished. But now, another crisis loomed.
"Empress, His Majesty wishes to see you in the command room." Just as Ye Xin's thoughts spiraled, a voice called from behind. Turning around, she saw a scholar bowing to her respectfully.
Ye Xin's worried expression quickly brightened with joy. "Xiao Qian! Take me there, quickly!"
"Yes, Your Majesty," the scholar replied, leading her into the ship's interior.
As Ye Xin neared the command room, she could already hear the sound of Wei Wushuang's furious voice.
"You brat! Do you ever use your head before acting? Why must you be so impulsive? If you had discussed this with me, would I have refused your decision? Foolish child!"
Inside the council hall of the Stone Tribe, Lin Qian chuckled sheepishly at the tactical mirror. The mirror displayed the scene in the command room outside the small world.
"Xin'er, you're here," Lin Qian said warmly, waving at her as she approached.
At the same time, Ye Xin, who had just entered the command room, rushed closer to the mirror upon seeing his image. "Xiao Qian, how are you? Are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?"
Lin Qian shook his head gently. "Don't worry, nothing has happened to me."
After exchanging updates, Lin Qian explained everything that had occurred within the small world, including the situation with the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins, to Ye Xin and Wei Wushuang.
"Those vile creatures! Are they really treating our people like that?" Wei Wushuang's fury was palpable as he sought confirmation from Lin Qian.
Lin Qian nodded solemnly. "Yes, I witnessed the Giant Goblins devouring our people with my own eyes."
"In the outside world, Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins are among the lowest of creatures. They used to prey on humans, but after their defeat, they were enslaved. Now, Giant Goblins serve as laborers, and Dwarf Goblins are mere messengers. I never expected that in this small world, humans would still exist and be in such a terrible situation." Wei Wushuang's eyes blazed with anger, as if he wanted to rush into the small world and wipe out both tribes.
"With my help, these human compatriots will defeat these two tribes with their own hands. Hearing your words, Master, gave me an idea—not to exterminate these two tribes but to enslave them instead." Lin Qian's expression shifted to one of contemplation.
Originally, Lin Qian had planned for the humans in the small world to defeat the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins before deploying the Hua Xia army to annihilate the two tribes. Now, however, he had changed his mind. He would let the humans of the small world enslave the two tribes, turning their tactics against them.
"Kid, you seem deeply invested in this despite it being related to the Blackblood Clan," Wei Wushuang said with a laugh, his tone softening. "I'm starting to understand your methods."
Pointing upward, Wei Wushuang continued, "You weren't entirely truthful about the relic golems, were you? It seems you can summon powerful beings to fight for you."
"Master, nothing escapes your sharp eyes," Lin Qian chuckled. "Indeed, I could easily wipe out the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins by myself. But I've chosen to focus my efforts on helping the humans of this small world regain their confidence—because this small world holds potential."
Indeed, Lin Qian's plan was to claim this small world as his own and bring it under his control. If he could establish a teleportation array within the small world, he would have a way to return to Linhai Prefecture at any time.
The records of the Daoyuan Sect detailed teleportation arrays and their unique coordinates. This would allow Lin Qian to return to the small world even after leaving to search for his parents.
But beyond that, Lin Qian felt a deep desire to claim this small world. It was a desire he was intimately familiar with—a hunger for conquest and expansion, one he had felt in his past life when leading the Hua Xia army to expand his territory in the game.
Lin Qian relished the feeling of controlling ever-growing lands and strengthening them.
Unlike other players who preferred either conquering cities or developing their lands, Lin Qian enjoyed both. He loved expanding his territory through conquest while simultaneously developing and enhancing his domain's power.
And why? Because in his past life, Lin Qian had been a "RMB warrior"—he had the resources and the means to do so.
"This small world will be the first territory of the Hua Xia Empire in this world," Lin Qian declared proudly as he sat in the council hall. "I shall name it the Beginning State!"
