The Peerless Emperor (TPE)

Chapter 156: Chapter 156: Preparing for Battle

The original chieftain's stone house in the Stone Tribe had been replaced with a spacious and bright council hall.

Upon entering, Lin Qian took the central seat and motioned for the other chieftains to sit on the opposing rows of chairs.

These human chieftains, after arriving at the Stone Tribe, experienced for the first time what it felt like to take a bath, enjoy a full meal, and wear comfortable, warm clothing. Coupled with the display they had just witnessed, they were now fully convinced of Lin Qian's capabilities.

Once everyone was seated, two figures hurriedly entered the council hall, causing the other chieftains to startle upon recognizing them. These two men were none other than Shi Yun and Qin Xing, who had just been fighting against the Dwarf Goblin and Giant Goblin.

Their presence here was easy to deduce—they must have successfully slain their opponents.

"That was fast!" The other chieftains exchanged surprised glances as they observed the situation.

However, Lin Qian, seated at the head of the hall, remained unfazed, as if this outcome had been within his expectations. "Right on time, just as I calculated," he remarked.

Lin Qian had already estimated the time it would take Shi Yun and Qin Xing to defeat their enemies and had deliberately slowed his pace while heading to the council hall. As he had anticipated, the two arrived promptly.

"My Lord, we succeeded!" Shi Yun and Qin Xing beamed with joy as they entered the hall.

In truth, when Lin Qian first instructed them to fight against the Dwarf Goblin and Giant Goblin, both had been filled with doubt and apprehension. Even though they had experienced significant improvements in their abilities thanks to Lin Qian's help, they still lacked confidence.

"Why don't you two share your experience of fighting the Goblins with everyone?" Lin Qian suggested.

"It wasn't as difficult as we imagined," Shi Yun said excitedly. "I could easily keep up with the Dwarf Goblin's movements, and what once seemed like an impenetrable defense now feels fragile."

"I feel the same way," Qin Xing added, gazing at his hands. "The Giant Goblin, which I once thought was invincible with its immense strength, now feels like nothing more than a moving target."

Lin Qian nodded in satisfaction, then turned to the other chieftains. "Everything they said is true. You witnessed it yourselves. Humanity is not weak; your cultivation practices have simply been severed from their origins."

Lin Qian then explained the concept of the Daoyuan Sect and suggested that these chieftains were likely descendants of its disciples. They had lost the true inheritance of human cultivation, which had prevented them from unlocking their full potential.

For half a day, Lin Qian detailed the world beyond the small realm, explaining the true levels of cultivation, the human race's unique use of Yuan Artifacts and Soul Artifacts, and even the principles of formations and alchemy.

The gathered chieftains listened intently, growing more astonished with each revelation.

"So we weren't completely useless after all," one chieftain mused. "We just didn't know how to unlock our potential."

"We knew about Martial Souls but had no idea they had such incredible uses," another added, shaking his head in disbelief.

After hearing Lin Qian's explanations, the chieftains couldn't help but laugh bitterly at their past ignorance.

"I will teach you cultivation methods and provide you with Yuan Artifacts and Soul Artifacts. I will also give you specially formulated elixirs to enhance your abilities. Together, we will raise the overall strength of the human race in this small realm."

"When the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins come south, you will fight them yourselves. Use your own hands and their blood to wash away the shame of the past. Reclaim your dignity with your own strength."

After Lin Qian finished speaking, the council hall fell into silence as the chieftains contemplated his words.

Finally, Zhao Wei stood up and respectfully saluted Lin Qian. "The Lord is right. The help you've given us is more than we could ever repay. If we still expect you to fight the enemy for us, it would be a disgrace to our race."

"Indeed," Qian Ling agreed, standing up as well. "We've endured the shame of the past. We've always paid a heavy price when the Goblins came south, but with your help, I believe we can finally turn the tide."

"We won't let your efforts go to waste!" Liu Ang and Li Yi also rose, bowing respectfully to Lin Qian.

With the four major chieftains setting an example, the other chieftains quickly followed suit.

Lin Qian nodded in approval.

"According to the information we've gathered, we have eight days before the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins launch their full assault. Before that happens, I need you to gather all the humans in the realm and bring them together," Lin Qian instructed.

Zhao Wei nodded and asked, "My Lord, are you planning to gather everyone in a hidden location until we've strengthened ourselves enough to fight back?"

"Exactly," Lin Qian replied with a smile.

While he did intend for the humans to reclaim their dignity, he wasn't about to send them into battle unprepared. Therefore, his plan was to gather all the humans in the realm and train them to harness their full potential before engaging the enemy.

This way, they would have time to fully unlock their innate abilities while also ensuring that no one would be captured by the Blackblood Clan, thwarting the enemy's plans in the process.

"Is there a place in the southern region that's well-hidden and difficult to find? Don't worry about living conditions—I can create what we need," Lin Qian asked.

"Yes," Zhao Wei replied quickly. "In the far south, there's a dense forest of withered trees with no open spaces. Entering it would disturb countless undead. Even the Dwarf Goblins and Giant Goblins don't dare go near it."

Lin Qian nodded thoughtfully and looked toward the south. "In that case, let's hide there for now."
