The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 34: Nicolas Flamel

"Well, Fleur, call me Lynn from now on!" Lynn nodded with a smile. He was equally happy to meet a new friend at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

During the rest of the tour, Fleur became more lively and enthusiastic. Sometimes, she took the initiative to introduce everything about the places they visited without Lynn even asking.

Therefore, Lynn's visit to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic was perfect, and everything went smoothly.

When it was time to part ways with Fleur, she seemed a little reluctant. After all, the witches from her school, who were ambitious and envious of her strength, hated her for her mixed Veela heritage. Fleur truly didn't want to stay with those jealous witches.

But Lynn and Professor Green were different. They weren't at all affected by Fleur's special Veela charm, which made her feel equal and at ease with them.

"Goodbye, Fleur! Maybe we'll meet again in three years!"

At the exit of Beauxbatons Academy, Lynn waved and said.

Lynn was referring to the Triwizard Tournament, which would take place when he was in his fifth year. Beauxbatons Academy of Magic was one of the participating schools, and Fleur would naturally come to Hogwarts Castle as a guest.

However, Fleur didn't know this. She thought Lynn would come to France for a trip in three years, so she was very happy and decided to take Lynn on a wonderful tour of the French magical world.

"Next, we're heading to the last stop, which is my teacher's residence."

Professor Green grabbed Lynn by the arm and said with a smile.

At this, Lynn's heart filled with excitement.

With the sound of gas hissing, Lynn and Professor Green appeared in a strange mansion.

This mansion was so vast that it didn't seem to be mapped on the Muggle world's maps. In the center of the mansion was a small, old cabin.

"Master, I've returned!"

Professor Green gently tapped a metal block that looked like a microphone against the cabin door, and after a "ding" sound, he spoke.

Soon, the door to the cabin opened.

However, it wasn't Professor Green's master, Nicolas Flamel, who opened the door. Instead, it was a humanoid robot.

The robot gestured for them to enter and led them into the cabin.

Upon entering, the first thing Lynn noticed was a photo of a young man and woman on the counter. If he guessed correctly, these young people must have been Nicolas Flamel and his partner from six hundred years ago.

After walking a few more steps, Lynn saw a frail old man sitting on a couch, and beside him was an elderly woman whose hair had completely fallen out.

These two old people were the famous Lemay couple.

Clearly, although the "immortality" brought by the Philosopher's Stone had allowed them to live for over six hundred years, it hadn't granted them true immortality. Their bodies had become more fragile with the passage of time, and illnesses plagued them.

Looking at the two elderly figures, who seemed to break bones just by moving slightly, Lynn seemed to understand why the old man decided to let Professor Dumbledore destroy the Philosopher's Stone a year later.

"Master!" Professor Green greeted Nicolas Flamel. He stepped forward and helped the elderly man rise.

Lynn also stepped forward and greeted the two elders. "Master, Granny, hello! I'm Lynn Rohr, a student of Professor Green!"

Upon hearing Lynn's words, Mr. Flamel, who had been wondering about Lynn's identity, suddenly smiled with relief, and his eyes became much kinder.

"I didn't expect that this young Wallison would take on a disciple! Come, Lynn, sit down quickly and let the Master take a good look at you!"

Nicolas Flamel smiled and motioned for Lynn to sit.

You see, since the incident with Grindelwald's rage, his apprentice Wallison Green had been slow, even his eyes vacant. Now, Wallison had become more animated and even gathered his own disciple. How could this not make the old man feel pleased?

Naturally, Lynn didn't refuse the old man's gesture, so he obediently sat down next to him.

Nicolas took Lynn's hand and kindly asked, like a doting grandfather, "Lynn, how has your alchemy study been going? I wonder if Wallison has been teaching you well."

Lynn told Nicolas about his progress with alchemy.

Nicolas nodded slightly, then gripped Lynn's hand a little more firmly. Lynn felt a strange magical power flow into his body through the old man's hand.

Lynn didn't resist but allowed the magical power to circulate through his body.

"That's it... It seems that your magical power has grown much faster than that of your peers. Wallison still doesn't have enough experience!" Nicolas Flamel muttered, "Lynn, I think with your current magical power reserves, it's time for you to begin learning legal alchemy!"

Upon hearing this, Lynn felt a sense of joy.

You see, according to Professor Green's original estimate, Lynn would need another three months before starting to learn the knowledge of legal alchemy.

"Lynn, how about I teach you in place of your teacher for the next half month?" Nicolas kindly offered. There were still more than half a month before Hogwarts began. If Lynn used the remaining seven days to buy textbooks for the new semester and meet with his family, he could still stay at Nicolas Flamel's mansion for half a month.

Lynn nodded and said, "As you say, Master!"

Thus, Lynn and Professor Green stayed at Nicolas Flamel's mansion.

Although Nicolas's cabin was small and narrow, it was just the living habits of the Flamel couple. They were accustomed to a frugal lifestyle and didn't like a luxurious environment.

Even so, the Flamel couple, who had lived for over six hundred years, had enough wealth to build dozens of castles in this mansion alone, thanks to the wealth accumulated by the heads of various eras. Not to mention the fact that the Flamels were also master alchemists who had accumulated hundreds of years of savings.

Nicolas generously arranged for Lynn and Professor Green to stay in a small villa within the mansion, and Lynn had to go to Nicolas's cabin at eight o'clock every morning to receive instruction.

Although Nicolas seemed so frail now that he could be knocked over by a gust of wind, his magical power was no weaker than that of Professor Dumbledore. He had reached the level of a high-level wizard more than three hundred years ago.

You see, even Professor Green's ability to refine alchemical circles from nothing was demonstrated and taught by Nicolas himself!

After learning that Lynn was curious about this kind of ability, Nicolas took advantage of the ancient generation's N features and refined dozens of alchemical circles around him while waving his wand. These dozens of alchemical circles exploded, releasing a golden starlight that filled the sky, turning into an endless meteor shower crossing the night sky.

This strange scene can attracted the astonished exclamations of countless Muggles from the outside world. But no one could have imagined that this miraculous sight was actually a simple magical spell cast by an elderly couple during one of their many generations of marriage!
