The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 148: I will send you to St. Mungo's

"Mr. Rowle, what questions do you have for me?"

Upon seeing Lynn lock the door to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office, Lockhart had a sinister premonition and asked.

Lynn placed a copy of "Wandering with Werewolves," written by Lockhart, on the table in front of him and calmly said, "Professor, I read in this book that you know a spell called the Restoration Charm. This magic can turn werewolves back into ordinary humans. Could you show me this magic? I want to learn it."

At this, Lockhart's expression froze.

How could he know the Restoration Charm? He had gathered the content of his book from other people's stories. Now that Lynn wanted him to demonstrate the Restoration Charm, how could he perform it?!

"Mr. Rowle, the Restoration Charm is a profound magic. I don't think you need to learn it yet. If there's nothing else, Mr. Rowle, you may leave," Lockhart said, forcing a smile, hoping to get rid of Lynn.

Lynn was unfazed. He softly replied, "You're right, I may not be skilled enough to learn this spell. But could you at least show me the magic? Let me have a glimpse."

Lockhart frowned and said, "This magic requires a wizard to pay a great price to perform it. After all, this magic transforms a werewolf into an ordinary human. There are no werewolves here, so there's no need for me to waste that price on performing this magic!"

Upon hearing this, Lynn slightly lifted the corners of his mouth, revealing a playful smile. "Really? But, professor, you didn't say that in the book. What you said in the book was: 'Simply wave your wand, and the old werewolf turns back into an ordinary human.'"

"Students just want to see you demonstrate the magic, yet you refuse in every possible way. This shouldn't happen to a wizard like you, unless you don't actually know this magic at all!"

Lynn said softly, his tone full of certainty.

Lockhart's eyes suddenly filled with panic upon hearing this.

He said impatiently, "This is impossible, Mr. Rowle! You shouldn't speculate so maliciously about your professor!"

Lynn sneered and said, "Whether it's malicious speculation or not, the facts will provide the answer. I believe the reason you won't use the magic to restore the werewolf to its human form is because the stories in this book aren't your personal experiences. They're not yours at all! Those magical books you have are all self-made!"

"However, the content in these books is so realistic that it doesn't seem like it could have been invented. Could it be that the experiences in this book aren't yours at all, but that you stole them and turned them into your books?"

Lynn's tone was indifferent, as if he were stating a fact.

Although Lynn had never read Lockhart's books, the information contained in the original books alone was enough for him to deduce how true these books were.

"You..." Lockhart was at a loss for words. He had no idea that everything he had done would be exposed with just a few words from Lynn.

Lockhart glared at Lynn, and it seemed like he knew the jig was up. "So what?! Mr. Rowle, think about it logically! If people don't think I did these things, then the sales of my books will drop significantly! Readers won't want to read a book with an unattractive cover. The old American wizard in it, who helped a village deal with a werewolf plague, wouldn't look as bad if his picture were on the cover. He has no taste in clothes, and the witch who exorcised the female ghost from Wanlun is, well, let's say—huhu! Think about it..."

Lockhart said angrily, not seeing anything wrong with what he had done.

Lynn asked with a sneer, "So, you stole their accomplishments and took their works as your own?"

Under Lynn's questioning, Lockhart showed no remorse.

He proudly boasted, "It's not as simple as you say! I have a lot of work to do! I need to track down these people and ask them how they did what they did. Then, I have to cast a Forgetfulness Charm on them so they forget. If there's anything I'm proud of, it's my Forgetfulness Charm. Let me tell you, Mr. Rowle, I also work hard! It's not just about signing books and taking photos. I'm a celebrity!"

Lynn calmly replied, "You may not know this yet, but it's illegal to use the Forgetfulness Charm on wizards without their consent. That's enough to send you to Azkaban!"

Upon hearing this, Lockhart laughed mockingly and said, "Who's going to know?"

With that, Lockhart raised his wand and pointed it at Lynn.

"I'm terribly sorry, Mr. Rowle, but I have to cast a Forgetfulness Charm on you. Once you forget these things, no one will be able to expose me, and my books will sell forever."

Lockhart's tone became cold, and a faint white light emerged from the tip of his wand.

Lockhart sarcastically said, "Say goodbye to your memory! Obliv..."

However, before Lockhart could finish the spell, a purple beam the thickness of a thumb suddenly shot out from the corner of the office, striking Lockhart in the head.

Lockhart was completely knocked back by the purple beam, crashing into the office wall and sliding down.

When Lockhart hit the wall, Lynn could even feel the whole office shake.

"You're too cruel..."

Lynn looked helplessly toward the corner of the office, where Lockhart lay, almost reduced to a pulp.

At that moment, Irina dropped the Disillusionment Charm and appeared where Lynn was looking.

She stuck out her tongue and said with a slight smile, "Who made him want to attack you, huh?"

Lynn chuckled, shook his head, and asked, "Did you record everything?"

Irina waved a two-way mirror in front of Lynn's eyes and said with a smile, "It's all recorded!"

The reason Irina had made herself invisible and sneaked into the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office was not to strike Lockhart one last time.

After all, Lynn was the only one with countless ways to kill Lockhart before he could cast the spell.

Irina's true purpose in being invisible in the office was to use the audio and video recording function of the two-way mirror when Lynn used various tricks to induce Lockhart to reveal what he had done.

"That's good," Lynn nodded, "leave it to me."

Lynn looked at the pile of Lockhart portraits in the office, now filled with panic. With a wave of his wand, a magical ball of flames rose and reduced the portraits to ashes.

Then, Lynn turned to Lockhart and pointed his wand at Lockhart's head: "I'm giving you a break by not leaving you to rot in Azkaban! Next, I'll send you to St. Mungo's!"

"Obliviante!"

As Lynn's cold voice sounded, a white light shot out.
