Chapter 70: The Alpha's Fall

**Tap! Tap! Tap!**

Fang Yuan descended from the cliff, holding the severed head of the wolf. Slowly, his body transformed into his immortal zombie form. Three pairs of arms sprouted from his torso, his figure towering even higher than the Alpha wolf.

**Boom!**

The wolf's head, weighing several kilograms, thudded heavily on the ground in front of the Alpha. All the surrounding wolves howled in fury and launched a ferocious attack. Fang Yuan watched them with contempt, his lips curling into a mocking smile. With one swift leap, he soared into the sky, high enough to brush against the clouds, then plunged back toward the pack like a meteor. Fifty wolves leaped simultaneously to meet him in the air, their claws and teeth flashing.

**Boom! Boom! Boom!**

Shredded wolf carcasses rained down from the heavens, their blood soaking the snow and turning it into a pool of red slush. The Alpha wolf stood motionless beneath the rain of blood, its eyes fixed on Fang Yuan. Suspended mid-air, Fang Yuan cackled, his presence a terrifying spectacle.

The Alpha let out a deafening howl, releasing its killing intent. With incredible speed, it lunged at Fang Yuan.

**Boom!**

A brutal clash erupted in the sky. Fang Yuan, wielding his eight arms, relentlessly struck the Alpha. The wolf retaliated, tearing through his limbs with its powerful jaws. Yet, being an immortal zombie, Fang Yuan felt no pain, unfazed by the loss of his arms.

Locked in a violent aerial dance, the two combatants exchanged blows with devastating force. In one swift motion, the Alpha spun, sending Fang Yuan crashing into the mountainside.

**BOOOOM!**

Snow and debris exploded into the air as an avalanche roared down the mountain. Fang Yuan, embedded several meters into the stone, pulled himself free. His gaze sharpened as he spotted the Alpha coming at him, shrouded in a menacing aura of spiritual energy.

The wolf advanced with eerie calmness, its massive form emerging from the blizzard like a living nightmare. Fang Yuan smirked, grabbing a handful of stones and hurling them toward the wolf. The Alpha easily deflected the projectiles with a shimmering spiritual shield, vaporizing them upon impact.

Undeterred, the Alpha charged again, this time biting off two more of Fang Yuan's arms. Its fury was boundless as it tore through the zombie's flesh, but Fang Yuan's bones, incredibly dense and indestructible, proved impossible to crush. Frustrated, the wolf spat out the bones and hurled them back at Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan caught one of the bones mid-air, but its sharp edge pierced through his hand and lodged itself in his eye socket. Black, acidic blood gushed from his eye, sizzling as it burned through the ground. Yet, Fang Yuan remained unfazed. He already knew his zombie blood was useless against the Alpha's spiritual defenses.

With slow, deliberate movements, he pulled the bone from his eye and wielded it like a blade. He grabbed a nearby boulder with his other hands, hurling it at the Alpha before swiftly retreating. The wolf, enraged, pursued him relentlessly.

Fang Yuan leapt from peak to peak, his speed unmatched. The Alpha followed close behind, equally swift. But every time Fang Yuan reached a new peak, he sent boulders crashing down on the wolf. The pursuit continued, a deadly chase between two forces of nature.

Though Fang Yuan's plan seemed reckless, it was far from aimless. He was studying the wolf, noting the subtle decline in its spiritual energy. The Alpha's aura, once overpowering, was slowly fading.

Finally, Fang Yuan saw his opening. The Alpha, exhausted from the relentless chase, briefly let its guard down. In that instant, Fang Yuan hurled the bone with deadly precision. It struck the Alpha, boring a gaping hole into its side.

The massive wolf plummeted into the ravine below.

**BOOM!**

Fang Yuan stopped running. He stood at the edge of the cliff, staring down at the Alpha's broken body. The once mighty wolf now lay in a pool of its own blood, its spiritual energy flickering like a dying flame.

The plan had worked. From the very start, Fang Yuan had orchestrated this moment. But why hadn't he killed the Alpha earlier? The answer was simple.

He needed the wolf alive.

With a deep, gravelly voice, Fang Yuan spoke:

"You're a great warrior, but you won't die like one. You'll suffer... more than you can imagine. This... is your end."

Without hesitation, he drove his hand into the Alpha's chest, extracting its spiritual core. Simultaneously, he ripped off one of its limbs and began consuming the wolf's flesh, savoring every bite as the Alpha watched, helpless.

As Fang Yuan absorbed the Alpha's core and devoured its flesh, the once proud creature withered into a lifeless pile of frozen bones.

His hunger sated, Fang Yuan returned to where Su Yun lay, battered and broken. He considered consuming her brain to gain her thoughts but stopped when he noticed she was still alive. Impressed by her resilience, he pulled out the healing Gu from his eternal aperture.

He applied just enough to keep her from dying, then bandaged her wounds with cloth torn from his own garments. With Su Yun in his arms, Fang Yuan began his descent from the mountain, his thoughts unreadable as the blizzard raged on around them.
