The Almighty Diva: Reborn to be Worshipped

Chapter 6: Denied Entry to the Dawn Class

The next morning at 7:30 AM.

Ji Chuxing was personally driven to Nancheng No. 1 High School by Bo Yanchen.

Having woken up far too early, she was grumpy and irritable.

Her unruly tuft of bedhead stuck out in every direction, refusing to be tamed no matter how hard she tried to smooth it down.

Slouched in the back seat, she looked half-asleep, her expression sour, as though the world had wronged her.

Even two boxes of jelly failed to lift her spirits.

Bo Yanchen had assumed the well-behaved girl would eagerly embrace school life, only to discover she was another underachiever. He sighed in exasperation: "Little girl, this isn't good."

Ji Chuxing remained silent, her sole desire being to go back to sleep.

Last night, she had indulged in jelly until she felt uncomfortably full and didn't drift off until midnight. Her body, still recovering from a serious illness, desperately needed rest.

Bo Yanchen hadn't anticipated just how much the girl disliked school—it took him a full forty minutes to rouse her that morning.

Pinching the bridge of his nose, Second Master Bo felt this might be the most challenging task he'd faced in years. "Behave in class, and I'll take you for ice cream after school," he promised.

The little girl's eyes lit up at the mention of ice cream. "I want peach, grape, lychee, watermelon..."

Bo Yanchen winced. "You can only have two flavors."

Ji Chuxing turned away, sulking in silence. Eventually, Bo Yanchen relented. "Fine, three."

With that, Ji Chuxing entered the Qihang Class of Nancheng No. 1 High School wearing a hat, her eyes heavy-lidded and drowsy.

Nancheng No. 1 High School was the most prestigious elite high school in the city, and the Qihang Class was its top-tier honors program.

Based on the original owner's grades, she should never have qualified for such an advanced class, nor did she intend to join it. However, Wen Xinyue had insisted on persuading Zhou Ru to enroll Ji Chuxing, claiming she could tutor her and strengthen their sibling relationship. Even falling behind the curriculum wouldn't matter—she vowed to help her catch up.

Predictably, the original Ji Chuxing struggled to keep up with the rigorous pace of the Qihang Class. Her test scores plummeted, earning her six months of ridicule.

Dazed and bleary-eyed, Ji Chuxing made her way to the Qihang Class, barely registering the astonished stares from those around her.

"Who's that? A new transfer student? I've never seen her before."

"She's gorgeous—almost as stunning as our school flower, Wen Xinyue!"

"Shh… Isn't that the one dragging the class down?"

"No way! That coward doesn't even dare to look up when walking!"

It wasn't yet 8:00 AM, and students were gradually filing into the classroom. Outside the Qihang Class, however, an eerie silence hung in the air. Just as Ji Chuxing reached the door, she paused mid-step.

Then, without warning, the girl lifted one foot and kicked the door with force.

*BANG!*

A chorus of screams erupted as foul-smelling mops and trash bins came crashing down, landing squarely on several boys standing behind the door.

They collapsed onto the floor, groaning as they clutched their bruised faces.

Everyone in the Qihang Class turned to stare, disbelief etched across their faces. But soon, their attention shifted to the figure standing at the doorway.

Long hair cascaded over her shoulders, partially concealed beneath a black baseball cap. Dressed in a simple white T-shirt and black pants, she stood expressionless, surveying the chaos she had caused.

The original Ji Chuxing had been absent for two days after falling into the swimming pool, missing the subsequent weekend as well. The boys in the Qihang Class had prepared a "special gift" for her return—a prank involving wet mops and buckets balanced precariously atop the door. Unfortunately for them, their plan backfired spectacularly.

"Ji Chuxing! How dare you!" one of the boys shouted, seething with anger.

Another chimed in furiously: "Ji Chuxing, what's wrong with you? Is this how you treat your classmates? You kicked the door and let all this garbage fall on us!"

Ji Chuxing glanced at the trio—they were the same bullies who had tormented her ever since she arrived at Nancheng No. 1 High School.

At that moment, the class president stepped forward, his tone stern: "Classmate Ji, you must apologize to Sun and the others immediately, then report to the principal's office to admit your mistake and write a self-reflection. Otherwise, the Qihang Class will not tolerate someone with such ill intentions."

As soon as the class president spoke, whispers began to ripple through the crowd.

"Exactly… She's from the countryside, completely lacking in manners."

"Since she joined the Qihang Class, our average score has dropped. Being in the same class as her is humiliating."

Some bystanders, however, thought Ji Chuxing wasn't entirely at fault—it was clear that Sun and the others had set the trap. But no one dared to speak up, or simply didn't care. Ji Chuxing was an unwelcome presence in the Qihang Class. Her abysmal grades, combined with being the older sister of the beloved school flower, Wen Xinyue, made her a target of disdain.

Ji Chuxing raised her chin, her expression cold. "Qihang Class? Genius Class? Are you here to insult these words?"

Hmph. In her past life, she had been hailed as a genius herself. This mockery was utterly maddening!

Though she said nothing explicitly, her sarcastic tone was enough to provoke outrage among those present.

The class president's face darkened. "Ji Chuxing, what did you say?!"

Several girls chimed in indignantly: "Who do you think you are, speaking like that? You're nothing but a lowly country bumpkin!"

"Yeah! I saw her step out of a luxury car this morning. She used to walk with her head down, but now she dares to talk back. Who knows where she spent last night?"

Some people found it odd. It was as though they believed her previous silence meant she shouldn't resist now.

This comment drew even more contemptuous glances toward Ji Chuxing.

In the past, she had always kept her head bowed, her thick bangs and black-rimmed glasses making her appear dull and unremarkable. But today, despite wearing no makeup, her fair complexion and striking almond-shaped eyes exuded an enviable aura.

Ji Chuxing's gaze swept over the group, causing some of the girls to shrink back instinctively. One of them, indignant, stepped forward and sneered: "What? Dare to act but can't handle criticism?"

She spoke confidently, as if she had witnessed Ji Chuxing commit some unspeakable act.

Ji Chuxing tilted her head, regarding her coolly. "And who are you? Do you even have the right to speak? Your eyes are so filthy—they could use a rinse in toilet water."

Mo Xue'er was seething with rage. How dare Ji Chuxing speak to her like that!

The commotion outside the Qihang Class soon caught the attention of the patrolling grade director. Spotting his plump figure approaching, the class president immediately called out: "Director! On behalf of all the students in the Qihang Class, we strongly demand that Ji Chuxing be expelled! Not only does she bully her classmates, but her behavior is also highly inappropriate!"

Seeing the disheveled state of the boys, the director's expression turned grim. "What happened? Why are you all in such a mess?"

The class president and several other students quickly recounted the incident, all pointing to one conclusion: Ji Chuxing had kicked the door, injuring her classmates and insulting the Qihang Class.

The Qihang Class held a special place in Nancheng No. 1 High School, and the director would not tolerate any defamation, especially now in their senior year, with less than a year until the college entrance exam.

Director Yan fixed Ji Chuxing with a stern glare. "Classmate Ji, explain yourself."
