The Absolute beast Tamer

Chapter 126: MISTAKEN AS AN EXPERT (1)

The golden sun is the king right above in the clear sky with the spring weather adorned with a gentle wind and flowers blooming all around.

Dortobia City boasted a massive population of over 100 million people with optimal temperatures all year round and a beautiful landscape full of many historical sites that was a witness to the great history of the old city, which has existed for over a millennia now.

Alan was walking on the streets of this great city as he looked for a place where he could buy some souvenirs before heading back to the Hunts house.

Gifts are essential after 1 year of separation, even though he had called them every month, yet he felt like it had been decades.

While walking, he could not help but ask himself if he from the past would believe how he was feeling right now, like separate entities with a completely different view on life.

He had already looked for a massive corporation that usually held many prestigious auctions and had the best variety of treasures to offer.

On his shoulder, a smaller spider that was smaller than a finger calmly enjoyed the ride, but not alone; on Alan's right hand was a dark-colored bracelet that shined, reflecting the sun's golden light, the little bracelet that was none other than Nova, while the spider was Tanaris, who finally had the permission to stay outside together with their master.

After spending a whole year nourishing them inside the sanctuary, they were finally free to go outside as they wanted.

Nova: "I can't wait to see Lily and play together."

Taranis: "Me too, big sister."

Alan: "After we buy the gifts, we will head straight to the Hunt mansion. Just be patient for a while, plus I am buying meat for you too so you can enjoy a feast. It has been a long time since you enjoyed a good meal."

After he mentioned the meat, he felt the bracelet on his right hand vibrate in excitement while the little spider on his shoulder moved its many legs as if it was restless.

The sanctuary was enough to supply them with enough Ena energy, so even after not eating for a year, it was hardly a problem for them, but as beasts, it was their natural instinct to hunt and feed, so their behavior was perfectly understandable.

Alan had a smile on his face as he answered both of them telepathically, standing in front of a huge skyscraper.

Alan: "We are at the gift shop; now that is one hell of a building. No wonder they are one of the top three commercial businesses in this huge city."

He did not hesitate as he calmly entered the building, which had as many as 112 stories, completely showing the high prestige of the organization that owned and operated the building.

Too many people going on and about handling their business, he saw 20 discs just for the receptionists to handle the front business call and to guide the incoming customers to the right place in this massive skyscraper that could have their requests.

"You're finally here; do you know how long I have waited for you? Let's go upstairs immediately; we don't have much time!"!

Alan noticed the man coming from behind the reception desks as he grabbed his hand, dragging him toward the elevator, completely mistaking him for someone else.

Light flashed in Alan's eyes as he played along, following the man, allowing him to drag him into the elevator.

The man was not tall or short with thick black glasses on his face and the meticulous-looking suit; he looked like the mirror of every salesman.

Right now he was using a handkerchief to wipe the sweat falling on his face, which was a sign of his extreme nervousness.

Taking a deep breath, he finally gave Alan a proper look.

"Aren't you too young to be an expert?"

Alan smiled as he stood there asking in a soft tone of voice.

Alan: "An expert?"

The light kept flashing inside the elevator as it continued to climb.

"I'm sorry, I do not mean to offend you, but you have to know that we went through hell to find someone who could prepare the samathina drink the proper traditional way.

Our esteemed guest and customer is one who holds a high standard for anything and everything, so please deliver on your earlier words."

Alan: "But I…"

"I know what you want to say, everything that you need has been prepared; all the ingredients are inside, and if you need anything else, here is this communicator; take it; just press the button, and I will personally deliver anything you need."

The elevator finally flashed one last time, stopping at the 112th floor; the doors opened, revealing a massive luxurious space; everything was decorated to reflect prestige and elegance. The air of nobility is shown in every art piece hung on these walls.

The nervous manager grabbed Alan's hand again, dragging him while continuing with his speech.

"Do you see that massive-looking door? Behind that door is a bunch of noble people, so be careful with your conduct.

Our CEO and VP are inside together with our hard-to-please esteemed guests.

You will go inside and prepare the traditional Samathina drink, and you will serve it.

Just hope that it suits the taste buds of our guests. Otherwise your future in the city is no more probably alongside mine; go ahead and don't waste any time; do not speak unless spoken to.

And pray that you are skilled as you have told me. Go, go, I can't go inside with you; go ahead."

Alan was speechless as he practically was shoved right into the door by this nervous wreck of a manager.

The manager knocked on the door a few times before opening it and giving Alan one last push.

If the earlier lobby was the entrance to the palace, then this room can be the center of it; every single piece of furniture was arranged to be perfect, fitting the image and the message the room sent to anyone who entered it, screaming luxury, wealth, and power.

The blind Alan was oblivious to how luxurious the room was, but he could feel the strange atmosphere and the aura of five people inside.

The restrained aura reminded him of his instructors that could hide their massive strength, like placing a lead cover over a bubbling furnace.

In the middle of the room, five people were sitting on the luxurious sofas: two elders and one man who looked refined with a noble aura, looking like a man in his mid-50s with a few strands of white hair mixed with his long black hair that conveyed wisdom but also hid strength.

Sitting beside him was an elderly lady who looked to be in her late forties or early fifties; her manners were sophisticated, as she was the image of a proper lady with shining light in her eyes that hid the vitality of a newborn.

On the couch beside them, a young man full of vigor with a beauty on his left side conveys the image of a vibrant flower that graces the elegance of any place she's in.

What surprised Alan is that everyone was actually facing a single young lady who was the image of elegance with a beauty that outshined everyone else in this room.

She looked younger than everyone else, in her early twenties at best. Yet everyone was facing her, giving her their full attention as if she was the star of the show.

"Grandpa the expert is here."

The young man was the first to notice Alan's presence in the room; his statement placed all the attention on Alan, who just entered the room forcefully pushed inside.

The elder who saw Alan had the stiffest smile on his face as he observed this youngster who barged into the room under the pretext of being the expert needed to please her royal princess, who was also curiously watching.

"Ahem, come in."

The Elder displayed a poker face immediately.

The elderly lady beside him had a strange light flashing in her eyes as she gave her grandson a questioning look.

The young man was quick to explain.

"Lady Theodora I have heard that you fancy the lost recipes of many potions and drinks, especially ones that originated from the central and your hometown.

I have heard that you especially like the samathina traditional drink, which was famous two millennia ago for being a potion that could ease the nerves and purify the body, with many forgotten benefits.

It is also a traditional potion of your hometown.

To which I have heard that you have spent a great deal of time and resources to recreate it.

Your success was an inspiring story for us all to preserve the heritage of the human race.

So I looked for an expert who could recreate the potion as close as he could to the original one, hoping that it helps you feel like you are home."

The elder who was listening to his grandson's elaborate words had a bulging vein up in his head as he felt a splitting headache and the disaster in the making right in front of his eyes.

He and the elderly lady were about to end this fiasco, but before they could voice a single word, the young lady sitting opposite to everyone actually had a smile on her face for the first time, answering the enthusiastic grandson.

"That is very thoughtful of you. I would like to taste the potion that you have meticulously worked hard to make for my sake.

I have always been vocal about the importance of preserving the human heritage in all of its shapes and forms; every single idea and every single invention is the fruit of our ancestors' labor.

That is very thoughtful of you, young Master Leones."

Her elegant speech was the cover for the strange light in her eyes and the amused smile on her face.
