Chapter 105: A Magical Reality—Ye Tian Wants to Move to an Island
"Ye Tian."
In the courtyard of the farm, Ye Tian, who was sharpening a fishhook at a stone table, heard someone call his name.
Looking up, he gazed toward the courtyard gate.
Two beautiful women stood gracefully arm-in-arm at the entrance.
Naturally, they were Bibi Dong and Hu Liena.
Ye Tian's face lit up with a warm smile. Placing the half-finished fishhook on the table, he stood up and walked toward them.
"So soon? I was planning to clean up the farm to surprise you, Nana."
"We just missed you!"
Hu Liena tilted her head and giggled.
Immediately, she noticed the fishhook on the stone table and asked, "Are you making fishhooks to go fishing?"
Ye Tian nodded lightly.
"Yes. According to the customs of East Sea City, when getting married, the groom catches a large fish himself as a betrothal gift for the bride."
East Sea City wasn't a wealthy place. Ordinary families couldn't afford extravagant wedding gifts. However, being a coastal city, fish were easily accessible.
Over time, this custom took root.
With Ye Tian's status and capabilities, he didn't need to fish personally.
But he believed that such meaningful traditions should be upheld.
After all, giving Nana gold and jewels might not make her as happy as a fish caught with his own hands.
Hearing his explanation, Hu Liena's cheeks flushed, and her eyes sparkled with emotion.
"Thank you, Brother Ye Tian."
"Actually, I have something for you too," Hu Liena said, lifting her gaze to look at him intently.
"What is it?" Ye Tian asked with a faint smile.
"I can't tell you now. You'll find out on our wedding day," Hu Liena explained seriously.
Hearing this, Ye Tian's curiosity grew.
With a soft laugh, he teased, "It wouldn't happen to be yourself, would it?"
"Of course not!" Hu Liena's face turned as red as an apple as she waved her hands. "You'll see when the time comes!"
"Keeping me in suspense, huh?"
Ye Tian couldn't help but ruffle Hu Liena's soft pink hair. As his gaze shifted behind Bibi Dong, he realized that Qian Renxue was missing.
"Did Qian Renxue leave East Sea City?"
Ye Tian was surprised. Her injuries had only been healing for a few days.
Could she already leave?
As expected of the Angel Clan's heir, her recovery was remarkable.
"No," Bibi Dong replied, shaking her head.
Ye Tian looked slightly disappointed and remarked sarcastically, "I thought that troublemaker had finally left."
With Qian Renxue in East Sea City, the place naturally attracted attention.
Ye Tian, who disliked being the center of attention, felt uneasy about such a spotlight.
Hu Liena chuckled and said, "She'll leave soon. On our way here, we overheard her saying that Ning Fengzhi, entrusted by Emperor Xue Ye of Heaven Dou, will escort her back to Heaven Dou City."
"Haha, how absurd."
Ye Tian laughed.
Heaven Dou Empire entrusted the leader of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Ning Fengzhi, to bring their crown prince back to Heaven Dou City.
Unbeknownst to them, the one they were retrieving was the Angel Clan's young master from the Spirit Hall.
"Truly absurd," Hu Liena echoed softly, not daring to laugh openly.
After all, what Ye Tian was experiencing now was even more fantastical.
Noticing this, Bibi Dong changed the subject. "Ye Tian, how are the wedding preparations coming along?"
"Pretty much done," Ye Tian said, touching his forehead as if in thought.
In reality, the only wedding-related task he had paid attention to was inspecting the construction of the wedding stage in Butterfly Valley.
Everything else was left unattended.
Aware of this, Chen Jian quickly stepped in to cover for him. "Haha, the young master has been quite diligent these days. Miss Nana, you can visit Butterfly Valley. The wedding dress is ready and stored in the dressing room near the stage."
"Even your gown, Miss, is there," Chen Jian added, looking at Bibi Dong.
"Mine too?" Bibi Dong asked, surprised.
"Of course. As the young master and Miss Nana's only relative, your role is crucial. Naturally, your attire must be formal," Chen Jian explained.
"Teacher, shall we try them on together?" Hu Liena's eyes sparkled as she tugged at Bibi Dong's hand, pulling her toward Butterfly Valley.
Unable to resist, Bibi Dong followed with a faint smile. "Nana, you're really eager, aren't you?"
"How could I not be?" Hu Liena whispered mischievously. Once certain Ye Tian couldn't hear, she sighed.
"Whenever I think about the secret we're hiding from Ye Tian, I feel suffocated."
Hearing this, Bibi Dong's expression turned serious. "Just a few more days. Once the wedding is over, I'll find an opportunity to tell him everything."
"Alright," Hu Liena nodded earnestly. Being honest with Ye Tian was undoubtedly the best option.
"Hey, long legs! This isn't a marketplace. No need to walk so fast," Ye Tian joked, noticing the two women far ahead.
"Hurry up, Brother!"
Hu Liena spun around playfully and called out before sprinting toward Butterfly Valley.
Ye Tian quickened his pace, catching up to Bibi Dong. Watching Hu Liena's figure, he sighed.
"Sis, this is the wife you found for me—a little rascal."
"Don't blame me. I never stopped you from looking for your 'white moonlight,'" Bibi Dong replied with a sly glint in her eyes, laughing softly.
"Quick to shirk responsibility, aren't you?" Ye Tian chuckled.
In truth, he had no complaints.
Hu Liena, having trained in the Spirit Hall, was knowledgeable, capable, and outstanding—even by East Sea standards.
Marrying her was hardly a loss.
As they walked, Ye Tian shared his thoughts about the future.
He sighed, "The mainland is becoming more chaotic."
Bibi Dong agreed, "Indeed."
"So, after the wedding, I plan to move to an island."
"An island?" Bibi Dong exclaimed in surprise. "To live a secluded life?"
This was unexpected. She knew Ye Tian preferred peace, but she hadn't imagined he would enjoy such isolation.
Living alone on an island sounded maddeningly quiet.
"I think you misunderstand," Ye Tian explained.
While he valued a low profile, he wasn't a hermit.
"The island I'm referring to is a large one overseas."
"You might not know this, but people live on islands overseas."
"The one we're moving to is called Pearl Island. It has a population of 30,000, similar to East Sea City."
"Overseas has residents?"
Bibi Dong was taken aback.
She had only heard that the sea was even more dangerous than the Star Dou Forest, teeming with powerful soul beasts.
Even the previous Spirit Hall Saintess had perished at sea.
