Summoning Pokémon in Naruto

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: The Art of Drinking Milk

"Hayato, what brings you here?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen set down his newspaper, his brows furrowed slightly as he looked at Hayato with a mixture of curiosity and exasperation. In his observations, Hayato, despite occasionally being mischievous, was far more mature than his peers and wouldn't come to him without good reason.

Hayato simply grinned. "Lord Third, how's the research on the communicator going?"

"You mean that device?" Hiruzen's face brightened with a hint of satisfaction. "It's already a success. We're currently testing its maximum transmission range."

He paused, suddenly remembering something, and his expression turned serious. "By the way, Hayato, you've contributed the communicator, but we haven't rewarded you yet. Technically, you're not an official ninja, but as the Hokage leading this village, I must reward merit properly."

"How about we count it as completing an A-rank mission?" Hiruzen smiled warmly. "What would you like as a reward? Jutsu or money? If it's money, how about a million ryo?"

Hayato wasn't overwhelmed by the large sum; instead, he silently mocked the situation: Old man, if you're oh so generous for a communicator, wouldn't you give me more than a million if I came up with something even better in the future?

"Lord Third," Hayato suddenly lowered his voice, feigning grievance, "someone wants to kill me!"

Hiruzen's demeanor shifted instantly. The weight of his authority as Hokage filled the room. "This is Konoha—who would want to kill you a student?"

Could it be... Danzo? The thought made his brows knit tighter. "Have you encountered someone wearing a white Anbu mask recently?"

Hayato blinked, quickly realizing Hiruzen's train of thought. He chuckled internally but neither confirmed nor denied it.

As an Uchiha, it was inevitable he'd clash with Danzo one day. Though they hadn't met yet, Hayato didn't mind planting a seed of doubt.

"No, but I've felt killing intent recently when I'm alone," Hayato said with a convincing tone of concern.

Hiruzen's tension eased slightly. If it wasn't Danzo, that was a relief—dealing with him directly would be tricky since the village still needed him.

"Could it be spies from another village?" Hiruzen asked cautiously.

"Quite possible!" Hayato nodded emphatically. "If information about my summoning techniques leaked, it could lead to other villages experimenting on them."

"I see then I'll assign a team to protect you."

"No need, Lord Third. I have a better solution."

"Oh and what it that?" Hiruzen asked, intrigued. Though Hayato's skills were advanced enough for a graduate, spies typically acted with a degree of certainty in their plans.

Hayato pulled out two bottles of MooMoo Milk and handed them to Hiruzen. "Try this milk first, Lord Third."

Hiruzen, curious, examined the bottle. He'd noticed Hayato frequently drinking this milk but had never seen him purchase it from any shop, deducing it must also be from another world. Though he had wanted to try it, it wasn't his place to take from a child.

Opening the bottle, a rich aroma wafted out, and Hiruzen couldn't resist taking a sip. In no time, he had drained the entire bottle, letting out a satisfied sigh. "Ah…"

Catching Hayato's gaze, Hiruzen froze. Maintain dignity in front of the kid.

"Is there something on my face?" Hiruzen asked awkwardly.

"There's milk at the corner of your mouth," Hayato teased, grinning.

[T/N: Suspicious]

Embarrassed, Hiruzen wiped his mouth and adjusted his tone. "This milk is one of the best I've ever had, but what makes it special?"

"You haven't even seen its true effect yet," Hayato explained with a sly smile. "Try using a few jutsu and then drink another bottle."

Hiruzen's eyes lit up with realization. Without hesitation, he performed the Shadow Clone Jutsu. Four clones appeared in the room, and Hiruzen noted that his chakra reserves were still substantial.

He drank the second bottle, his expression turning incredulous. "Is this...?"

"Exactly," Hayato confirmed. "MooMoo Milk restores chakra, and it's simple to produce—unlike soldier pills, which require processing."

"Come out, Tauros, Miltank!"

Hayato tossed two Poké Balls, releasing a fierce-looking yellow bull and a gentle pink cow.

[Name: Tauros]

[Gender: Male]

[Ability: Intimidate (lowers enemy morale on entry)]

[Type: Normal]

[Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Work Up, Payback]

[Name: Miltank]

[Gender: Female]

[Ability: Thick Fat (reduces Ice and Fire damage)]

[Type: Normal]

[Moves: Tackle, Growl, Rollout, Defense Curl]

"MooMoo Milk is produced by Miltank. If the offspring is female, it becomes a Miltank; males become Tauros. A single Miltank can produce around 80 bottles of milk a day," Hayato explained, stroking Miltank's head fondly.

"Furthermore, MooMoo Milk can be used as a base for even more effective products."

"Hayato, these are indeed valuable assets for the village, but what does this have to do with the danger you mentioned?" Hiruzen asked seriously. Expanding Miltank farms would undoubtedly make Konoha more prosperous, but it might also make Hayato a bigger target.

"Simple. I want all the clans in the village to join in raising Miltank. Some of the milk will supply the village, while the rest can be diluted and sold to villagers and the Land of Fire," Hayato proposed confidently. "Let's establish a Pokémon Habitat together, Lord Third, with ninja as its protectors. This way, everyone benefits, and the entire village protects me."

Hiruzen's gaze deepened as he looked at Hayato. This plan could alter the very dynamics of the village—and perhaps even its relationship with the Land of Fire. But the thought of a thriving, united Konoha made him clench his fists in determination.

"Alright, I approve!"

"Wait, Lord Third I have more to show you." Hayato's mischievous grin hinted at further surprises.
