Summoning Pokémon in Naruto

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Mysterious Visitor

[Ding! First time making Pokémon cuisine. Hidden task completed.]

[Reward obtained: Charcoal ×1]

Uchiha Hayato listened to the system prompt with delight. Every little step was proof of his progress.

"It's time for another draw," he thought.

"Hayato, what exactly is this dish you made for us?" asked Might Duy, standing up with a more serious expression than usual.

"Fiery youth makes me grateful for this," he declared.

He could feel a surge of heat rising from old injuries, much like the spicy flavor of the dish. It burned warmly, filling him with a mix of excitement and surprise. This was proof his hidden injuries were healing. If he could keep eating this kind of food, perhaps one day he could become as powerful as White Fang.

"Spicy sausage curry helps restore stamina and boosts inner energy," Hayato explained with a grin. "How is it? My cooking isn't bad, right? If you'd like, feel free to visit more often."

Inwardly, he shook his head. This was just the beginning. The spicy sausage curry only used basic ingredients like Cheri Berries and coarse-ground sausage. Once he incorporated more berries and advanced ingredients, the effects would be even better.

Given that Might Duy's foundational strength was far below that of his future son, Might Guy, even with the Eight Inner Gates, his best accomplishment was defeating four of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

"If his physical strength reached the level of Might Guy's, no one in the ninja world could withstand him," Hayato mused. Then again, it was unclear whether Duy even knew how to use the Eight Gates at this moment.

"This…" Duy hesitated, feeling conflicted. He wanted to keep enjoying Hayato's cooking, but they had just met, and he had nothing to give in return.

Hayato suppressed his embarrassment and gave Duy a thumbs-up, smiling. "Duy, is this all the youth you have? Eat this dish I poured my heart into and unleash your power of youth. Isn't that what you want?"

"Hayato…" Duy was deeply moved. After so long, had someone finally understood his passion for youth?

"As expected of my new rival! I will eat this and show you my youth!"

"Uh, Duy, there's no need for rival talk," Hayato muttered, alarmed. The intense logic of the thick-browed man was as unpredictable as ever. A rival if he had to pick a rival wouldn't Minato be a better fit?

Duy didn't reply but gave him a meaningful look before returning to devouring his meal. The room fell silent, save for the sound of clinking utensils.

Hayato focused on his own portion and turned his attention to the system.

[Name: Uchiha Hayato]

[Egg Group: Humanoid, Field]

[Ability: Blaze]

[Attributes: Fire, Lightning, Water, Yin]

[Skills: Clone Technique, Transformation Technique, Substitution Technique, Sharingan, Surprise Strike, Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire, Shadow Clone Technique, Summoning Technique]

[Pokémon: Chimchar]

[World Change Rate: 0.28%]

With the system's rewards, he could do two ten-draws in a row. Without hesitation, Hayato confirmed the draws.

[Drawing complete. You obtained the following items:]

[Super Potion ×3, Burn Heal ×3, Electric-type Basic Energy Cube, Fighting-type Pokémon Egg ×1, Focus Sash ×1, Power Bracer ×3, Potion ×5, Sweet Herb Curry, Full Restore ×5, Juice ×5, Torkoal's Charcoal ×3, Fire-type Pokémon Egg ×1, Luxury Ball ×1, Ability: Poison Heal, Stardust ×10, Pearl ×2, Fire Stone ×1, Lum Berries ×3, Instant Messenger ×2, Toast ×5]

The flood of items almost overwhelmed Hayato. He took a bite of curry and began organizing his haul.

First, there were two Pokémon eggs: one Fighting-type and one Fire-type. He decided to give them to others since he already had a Chimchar to care for.

The Electric Energy Cube could be used by him or gifted to Minato and Pikachu.

[Focus Sash: Survive a fatal blow with 1 HP remaining.]

This was an invaluable life-saving tool, the kind that could mean everything in a war.

As for the Ability Poison Heal, it restored HP while poisoned. For now, though, he was sticking with Blaze.

The most intriguing item was the Instant Messenger. A device with decent technological capabilities, it could function like a video phone.

In his previous life, Hayato had often mocked the inconsistencies in the technology of the ninja world. Despite having electricity, power poles, TVs, and advanced medical equipment, smartphones were mysteriously absent. Perhaps donating the Instant Messenger for research could help advance technology in the village.

However, the village's current attitude toward him was unclear. The Anbu had observed him for days without taking further action. Even Uchiha Setsuna had gone silent since gifting him the scroll.

"These are for you, Kushina and Duy," Hayato said, handing over the Pokémon eggs.

"What kind of eggs are these?" Duy asked, wide-eyed. "And how do you even cook such an egg?"

Hayato sighed. "Duy, these are Pokémon eggs. Think of them as summoning beast eggs."

[T/N: Again why he's acting like this when Duy doesn't even know.]

"I finally have one too!" Kushina exclaimed, hugging the Fire-type egg. "This little one seems so happy—it just moved!"

"Kushina, finish your food first," Hayato said, tapping her cheek, where some curry still lingered. "I told you you'd get one too."

"Duy, this Pokémon is Fighting-type, meaning it specializes in physical combat. Once it grows, it can share in your youthful passion."

Duy's eyes lit up, and any thought of refusing disappeared.

"Don't worry, Dekai. These eggs suit them better for now. When the time is right, you'll get a Pokémon too," Hayato reassured another companion, who nodded without complaint. Training together was satisfying enough.

"Is this Hayato's residence?"

A knock interrupted them. Hayato opened the door to find an older boy standing there.

"My father wants to invite you to dinner tonight," the boy said.
