Summoner of the Fairy Tail

Chapter 249: Kagura's Feelings

On a quiet night street, a black-haired woman ran swiftly. After running for an unknown amount of time, she finally stopped in a corner, bent over, and gasped for breath, her face flushed, either from shyness or the exercise.

"Not only did I speak with Lord Calvin, but also with Miss Erza... Oh, what a failure, I ran away just like that," Kagura thought sadly to herself, but remembering the recent events, she couldn't help but smile foolishly.

No one knew that beneath her proud and aloof mask, Kagura was very shy and simple. She had harbored special feelings for both Calvin and Erza for a long time.

Seven years ago, or even earlier, after mastering magic, Kagura set off on a journey to find her brother. It wasn't until seven years ago that she finally reunited with her long-lost brother, Simon, by chance.

Simon had also been searching for his sister. When they met, they were naturally overjoyed.

During those days, the siblings talked about many things, from their past lives to how they escaped from Jellal. It was during these conversations that Kagura learned the names Erza and Calvin.

From Simon's mouth, she learned that Erza was a fellow villager who grew up with them in Rosemary Village. Kagura remembered the various events that happened in the village many years ago.

On that terrible day, a red-haired girl saved her by hiding her in the dark, sparing her from capture. She later learned that the red-haired sister who saved her was the famous Queen of Fairies, Erza.

She was excited back then, but even more shocked to learn that Erza, along with her companions, had liberated Simon and others from Jellal's control. Calvin had personally defeated Jellal and prevented the explosion of the Magic Energy. He saved her brother's life.

Since then, Kagura had developed an inexplicable admiration for Calvin. His powerful strength, handsome demeanor, and commanding presence gradually turned her admiration into affection.

Initially, she planned to visit Fairy Tail to meet them, but soon the Tenrou Island incident occurred, and both Calvin and Erza disappeared, possibly dead.

This dealt a heavy blow to Kagura. From that day on, she became cold and indifferent, only showing joy when with her brother, Simon.

But the names Calvin and Erza remained etched in her heart, never fading away.

Not long after, Jellal escaped from prison, causing Kagura's feelings for Calvin and Erza to transform into hatred for Jellal.

However, today, after meeting Calvin and Erza, Kagura suddenly realized that her hatred for Jellal was just a facade born out of unexpressed emotions.

"I hope we can talk like this again next time..."

...

Calvin and Erza walked quietly on the road, both feeling a bit awkward about what had happened earlier, unsure of what to say.

As they walked, Calvin suddenly asked, "You mentioned you met that cat-loving girl earlier. It's been a while, so you must have talked a lot, right?"

Erza nodded, her expression heavy, and said, "I was happy to meet Millianna, but she still hasn't let go of her hatred for Jellal."

"That's understandable, being deceived for so long. Not everyone loves Jellal as deeply as you do," Calvin laughed, making Erza blush with embarrassment and anger, glaring at him fiercely.

Calvin quickly surrendered, stopping his teasing to prevent Erza from exploding in anger.

After a few more steps, Erza remembered something and asked Calvin, "Why did Kagura ask you to help her defeat Jellal? Is there some grudge between them?"

"Yo~ Are you worried that Jellal might have been unfaithful to Kagura?" Calvin teased again, immediately reigniting Erza's anger.

Realizing his mistake, Calvin quickly laughed it off and explained, "Kagura said that since I had defeated Jellal before, she thought I was the most suitable person for the job. As for their grudge, it's not that deep. She seems to be a girl with a strong sense of justice and thinks Jellal will cause trouble if left unchecked."

"Not that deep? So there's still some connection?" Erza continued to ask.

"Yeah, Kagura is Simon's sister. Maybe she wants to avenge her brother," Calvin said casually.

Hearing this, Erza froze, looking stunned, but then she immediately showed a look of joy, shouting, "What! Kagura is Simon's sister!?"

When Calvin confirmed this, Erza couldn't help but clutch her chest, feeling as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her heart. She sighed in relief.

"That's great, she's alright," Erza said, her voice filled with genuine relief.

"You know her?" Calvin asked, surprised by Erza's reaction.

"Yes, Simon, his sister, and I used to live in the same village. When we were captured and taken to the Tower of Heaven, I hid Simon's sister. So, Kagura is that sister," Erza explained.

"No wonder Kagura acted that way when she saw you. I thought the Queen of Fairies' charm was enough to attract such a powerful wizard," Calvin laughed, relieved that Kagura's strange behavior wasn't because of him, and teased Erza.

"Why did she run away earlier? I wanted to have a good chat with her too," Erza sighed, ignoring Calvin's teasing.

"But it's great to see her growing up healthy," Erza said, showing a kind smile that made Calvin feel uncomfortable.

"I hope one day, both Kagura and Millianna can let go of their hatred for Jellal," Erza said, her mood dropping again.

"Don't worry about that. Jellal said he would apologize to his former comrades for the past. Let him seek their forgiveness," Calvin said, making Erza pause and look at him in surprise.

Seeing Erza's expression, Calvin knew she was too moved to speak, so he smiled and didn't say much more.

After a while, Erza recovered and softly said, "Thank you..."

Erza knew this decision must have come from a conversation between Jellal and Calvin. Everything she worried about seemed to be heading in a good direction.

This heartfelt gratitude was full of sincerity.

"And the armor you gave me, I like it very much. Thank you. I'll wear it and dominate the competition tomorrow!"

"Armor? Oh, you mean that. I forgot about it. But no need to thank me, it was nothing. It was useless to me anyway. I'm glad you can use it," Calvin said, a bit surprised before quickly brushing it off.

"Just don't give me a hard time about the unfairness during our exam," Calvin thought to himself.
