Strike the Blood: The 4th Primogenitor

Third Person PoV

"Come, Mesart-?"

Kojou was about to call out his familiar, when his eyes landed on Sayaka. She was holding her head within her hands and muttering sorry.

"Oye, what are y-!"

And then Kojou connected the dots in his mind. He had asked Yukina to tell him something about Sayaka, and the thing that stood out the most was, her extreme androphobia.

'Extremely attached to Himeragi, has Androphobia, hates me for putting Himeragi in danger, calling Himeragi her only friend. Don't tell me her Androphobia is due to being abused in the past?'

Now Kojou understood why she was so hell bent on killing him. He was basically snatching her only pillar of support from her.

Physucal abuse as a child is a common cause of Androphobia, most likely her phobia was due to abuse, as shady the LKO is, there can't be any abuse there.

Not to mention within a few months one should be good enough to avoid such things.

'She was abused before she was in the LKO, they only take orphans or children who are sold, there is a very good chance that the one who made her androphobic is her father or brother.

Then the case must be severe, the only males in her life that was supposed to protect her were abusing her. Then it must be hard for her to trust any other men, then she met Himeragi. Does she feel repulsed by Vatler too? And she is only bearing this for the mission and Himeragi?'

Kojou was now regretting his actions. In his rage he basically made a girl relive possibly the worst moments of her life.

He lowered his mind and retrospected himself.

'Have I become drunk on power? Even if she hurt Asagi, that was unintentionally, but I did something like this?'

Kojou lowered his hands and looked at them with his eyes. He then remembered Nagisa also had a trauma, he would go to any lengths to help her and stop her from meeting demons.

And now he did just that, he couldn't look into Nagisa's eyes if doesn't fix this.

'Thank goodness, I was brought back into reality before I destroyed my relationship with either Asagi or Nagisa.'

Kojou called back the magical power he was releasing and slowly moved near Sayaka. She was still muttering sorry and now her hands were holding her body, trying to cover up.

He reached near her and raised his hand. Sayaka's eyes, which were closed, opened a little to check at him and she saw his hand close to her, raised.

Worried that he was going to hit her, she started shivering even more and her muttering became erratic.

But the blow never came. Instead she felt a hand patting her head, it felt surprisingly warm.

And the tears she was holding back burst forth.

"Uwaah!'

Kojou pulled her to his chest and hugged her tight. Now that he knew she wasn't really repulsed by him, as he checked by patting her head.

He brought his mouth near her years and muttered something that had become foreign to him recently.

"I am sorry! I didn't want to hurt you, I was angry that Asagi was hurt and I just couldn't control my anger. I am sincerely sorry for my actions."

But the crying didn't stop, the sobs became even more loud, it seemed that all the hidden feelings came down at once.

She was the one always protecting others and now that she found someone who protected her, even if it was he who protected her from himself, it was enough for her to break down.

He started to move his hand in up and down motions on her back to help her calm down. He also whispered soothing words into her ears.

"You don't need to always be the one protecting, Kirasaka. I will protect you."

This was Kojou's way of apologising, if she wasn't protected by anyone till now, he would do that from now on.

That helped her calm down quickly and a few minutes later she was okay, with occasional sobs leaving her mouth.

"You-you took Yukina away from me!"

"I didn't, the LKO did, Kirasaka. Think about it."

"What do you mean!"

Kojou sighed and said.

"Be honest, did you ever think that Himeragi could fight or kill me? She is too soft and unprepared for something like this. Tell me did the LKO only have Yukina, or did they not have any attack mage. She wasn't sent here to observe me, she was sent to become my blood companion."

"W-what!"

"Yes, there is a different true observer hidden somewhere keeping an eye on me."

"It's not me who is at fault, it's not you nor Yukina, it is the LKO for sending her here. They could have sent you couldn't they?"

Sayaka still wasn't be fully convinced, but she was seeing the way things were.

"What is the proof?"

"Why would the LKO send a dress for her to come along with me to a party, for which I was taking Asagi and it was known to the LKO that she is my blood companion. The LKO wanted her to be on equal ground with Asagi, which means they want her as my blood partner."

"Why would they want that?"

"Power, the LKO is powerless against any Primogenitor or equivalent being, but if they can make her my blood companion, they can control me using her."

"That is not true, we have the divine vibrations barrier."

"I can bypass it, and so can any Primogenitor. Even if I get hit leathaly, I am immortal and so is any other Primogenitor, and any being at that level would never get hit by someone at Himeragi's level."

"You can bypass it?" Sayaka said in disbelief.

"Ask Himeragi if you don't trust me. Just don't tell her what I told you, it will hurt her and put the LKO on alert."

"If i find out you are lying l w-!"

"Yeah, i will take your sword to my gut, happy?" Kojou said, not that would do much to him, he is immortal afterall.

"Hmph!"

"So wanna go back"

"Sure."

By now her sobbing had stooped, the only thing that was showing her crying was her red eyes. Which should go back to normal in time.

Just then a blast rang out in the school.

While Kojou was rethinking about the recent events in his life. Two therianthropes and one gruff man quietly entered the school building.

They quickly ran and moved towards their objective. Kojou being distracted and Yaze having his soundscape ruined was unable to find them out.

But Astarte was able to.

"Warning, intruders confirmed in the building. Ther speed implies that they are demons. Their predicted destination is-"

Just then the door to the nurses office was opened violently and the therianthropes and the man entered.

Before Yukina and Astarte could fight back, a third therianthrope came inside by breaking the window.

He put his gun on Asagi's head and threatened everyone present.

"Don't scream and fight back, or I will shoot."

Yukina and Nagisa gave up on fighting, but Astarte didn't.

"In accordance of exception two, invoking the right of self defence-"

Three silent shots rang and pierced her back. The therianthropes had used a silencer on their guns.

The bloody body of Astarte fell on the ground and Nagisa was scared. Yukina looked shocked but followed the instructions of the man.

"Keep quiet and follow us."

Yukina knew that the man was most likely Gardos, but it didn't look like he would forgive anyone obstructing his plans.

'He did seem surprised to find Aiba-senpai unconscious. Maybe he will explain things when she is awake.'

The therianthropes then tied her hand and blindfolded her, the same was done to Asagi and Nagisa too.

"Is the distraction ready?"

"Hai!"

The black van started to rush and just then the blast rang out. Yaze, having seen the abduction from the window, rushed to follow his classmate.

He ran on top of the raised platforms which went parallel to the road.

"Tch, kidnapping Asagi in such conditions, that Gardos guy must be pretty crazy."

Knowing that he would not be able to keep up with the van, he took out a red and white pill from his pocket and bit it.

The pill amplified his hyperadapter powers, enabling him to use his air current manipulation to jump higher and faster.

He was now jumping on top of the roofs. Using his enhanced abilities, he sensed a helicopter being launched on the airfield.

"Is that their way of escape?"

He took out a box and threw in a large amount of the pills he had just taken. And like the use of steroids his abilities became stronger.

He created a air clone of himself and controlled it to follow the helicopter. But before it could do that, it was destroyed by a large purple blast of magic.

Yaze took off his headphones and heard a voice behind him.

"Sound control? Doesn't look like druid magic, Ah hyperadapter! That's an unusual ability."

Vatler said, wearing black sunglasses.

"You're, why?"

Yaze said struggling, the backlash of the steroids and the destruction of his clone was crushing his body right now.

"Can't have you interfere just now, don't worry this won't kill you, probably."

And the third blast of today happened, Yaze fell down into the gap between the floats and was unable to remains conscious, his body going down in the water.

Kojou and Sayaka reached the infirmary and found Astarte drowning in a pool of her own blood. The windows broken and no signs of resistance.

"Kirasaka, do you knew how to stabilise a person or homunculus?"

"War dancers specialize in assassination, I know a thing or two."

"Then pleases heal Astarte, Natsuki-chan will have my head if anyone dies in the academy when i was around."

Saying so Kojou looked outside of the broken window and tried to ascertain where could the three were taken to.

'Let's see, this can't be connected to Gardos or Nalakuvera, who I am kidding! With my shitty luck, Gardos is the one abducting Asagi, Nagisa and Himeragi got involved in it due to being at the bad place at a bad time.'

Kojou focused his connection to Asagi and Nagisa and found them alive. He then sensed them way above the Island.

He could only sense whether his blood companions are alive or dead normally, but if he focuses on the connection he can tell their approx location too.

'They are flying. Trying to take then outside the island?'

"Sayaka, is it over?"

"Few more minutes."

Sayaka had overturned Astarte, allowing her to lay on the bed, her stomach down. She was embedding small pins her back, probably a form of spiritual acupunture.

With the last pin inserted, she realesed a sigh and informed Kojou that her life was safe now.

"Sayaka, can you outrun a speeding vehicle or atleast keep up with it?"

"What kind of question it is? Only for a short while if I cast enhancement hex on myself."

"Then come to the rooftop."

"What? Why?"

"Asagi and the others are on a aircraft or helicopter. We need to be fast to catch up to them."

The two reached the rooftop fast and then Sayaka asked.

"And how are we going to catch them?"

"Like this! I apologize in advance for any turbulence."

Kojou carried Sayaka bridal style and jumped off from roof to roof. Abusing his superstrength like this was very fun but not in this moment.

He didn't even take notice of the soft body of Sayaka, even if he did the situation was not one to make jokes like this.

Landing, Sayaka finally started flailing.

"What- unhand me!"

"Oye, stop flailing. This is the fastest way, or do you want to keep Himeragi waiting?"

That shut her up, as this was indeed the fastest way.

Kojou continued his superhuman parkour and in no time reached the subfloat where he was able to sense a battle going on.

He could figure out that the Nalakuvera was here and Gardos had taken Asagi, Nagisa and Himeragi to some boat now.

He knew that Natsuki-chan will be here, he could ask her to teleport him to the boat.

He could get there by running on water, after freezing it using his familiar, although that is an option, it will take too long in his opinion.

At last he lept over the encirclement of the Island guard and reached the subfloat where the base of the terrorists was supposed to be.

He let Sayaka down and just then heard a voice familiar to him.

"The LKO sure is fond of you, they sent a war dancer this time."

Kojou didn't offer his retort and looked at the smoke rising forward. Two beams of red colour pierced the smoke and caused a blast.

Sayaka, seeing this, asked Natsuki-chan.

"What is going on?"

But her question was answered by an unlikely person.

"I am not really sure, but it doesn't look good, does it?"

Everyone looked behind them to find Vatler standing on top of a container, with black sunglasses on.

"What do you want, Snake Charmer?" The witch asked Vatler, disdain dripping in her voice.

Seeing Vatler here, an uncomfortable feeling arose in Kojou's chest.
