"Solarys: The Legacy of the Eternals"

Chapter 5: "Infiltration at the University"

Three months had passed since Kael and Lyria arrived on Earth. During this time, Lyria had successfully acquired her mortal vessel, a striking young woman with jet-black hair, fair skin, and piercing blue eyes. The two had used their advanced knowledge to develop a digital platform that quickly amassed wealth, allowing them to move to a more luxurious apartment and enroll in the country's most prestigious university. Their goal was clear: infiltrate the lives of the heirs of the families who possessed the dimensional diamonds.

The university bustled with life as students filled the grand halls. Kael and Lyria walked side by side, each heading toward their respective classes. Kael was assigned to a class that included the two daughters of the Bauman and Blackmour families, while Lyria would attend the same course as the son of the Veltran family. They exchanged a brief glance before parting ways.

Kael entered his classroom, his presence immediately drawing subtle stares. When the time came for introductions, he stood confidently.

KAEL: (with a slight smirk) "My name is Kael."

The room erupted in quiet laughter, some students whispering about his unusual name. Kael chuckled along with them, pulling out his official identification card.

KAEL: "It's real. And yes, I've heard every joke about it."

The laughter subsided as the class shifted its focus to the lecture. Kael's eyes scanned the room, noting the presence of the two young women who were his targets: Amelia Bauman, with her golden locks and sharp features, exuding an air of superiority, and Selena Blackmour, whose dark hair and intense gaze carried a quieter, yet equally imposing confidence.

Meanwhile, in another class, Lyria introduced herself with poise, immediately catching the attention of the students, including Adrian Veltran, a tall and athletic young man who couldn't seem to take his eyes off her. As the lecture progressed, Adrian's subtle attempts to engage with Lyria didn't go unnoticed by her.

During the recess, Kael and Lyria met in the courtyard, sitting at a secluded bench under the shadow of a large tree. Kael observed the other students with calculated detachment.

KAEL: "How did it go?"

LYRIA: (leaning back with a faint smirk) "He couldn't stop flirting with me. And to think, this human vessel doesn't even compare to my original beauty."

KAEL: (chuckling) "You've always been impossible to ignore, Lyria."

They both turned their attention to a commotion nearby. A male student, clearly nervous, was confessing his feelings to Amelia Bauman in the middle of the courtyard. The crowd surrounding them grew, phones raised to capture the moment.

STUDENT: (stammering) "Amelia, I... I really like you. Would you go out with me?"

Amelia's expression didn't change. She crossed her arms, her voice cutting through the air like ice.

AMELIA: "You think you're worthy of me? Please, spare me the embarrassment."

Laughter erupted from the crowd as the rejected boy retreated, humiliated. Lyria's eyes narrowed as she watched the scene unfold.

LYRIA: "Her arrogance is astounding. It seems her status and beauty have gone straight to her head."

KAEL: "It'll make gaining her trust a challenge."

LYRIA: (grinning slyly) "Especially with that mortal form of yours. Your original body was far more striking."

KAEL: (smirking) "Don't worry. I know exactly how to earn her trust. In fact, I'll start today."

The bell rang, signaling the end of the recess. The students returned to their respective classes. In Kael's classroom, just as the professor began to speak, the door burst open. Armed men wearing masks stormed in, their weapons gleaming under the dim light. Chaos erupted as students screamed and threw themselves to the ground.

LEADER: (shouting) "Where are they? Amelia Bauman and Selena Blackmour."

Amelia and Selena remained silent, their faces pale but defiant. The masked men approached, grabbing them by their arms as they struggled against the hold. One of the assailants stayed behind, his gun trained on the cowering students.

The professor, despite trembling with fear, tried to intervene. He lunged at the armed man, attempting to disarm him, but the attacker reacted swiftly. A gunshot echoed through the room as the professor collapsed, lifeless.

MASKED MAN: (yelling) "Who else wants to play hero?"

The room fell silent, the students paralyzed with terror. Amid the chaos, Kael lay on the floor, his expression unreadable. But as the others wept and trembled, a subtle smile played on his lips.
